  1. I'd pay money to watch linux and Spider2YBanana argue in person. In a room. A room that locks from the outside. After I leave.
  2. That's fair, you said one of your clients, you didn't say your genius client.
  3. They had the exact same SEC schedule as Texas this season except they were home against Alabama and we were at A&M which is close to a wash with standard homefield advantage considered.
  4. I'm not extinct, I've just been saving up. Then reading through this forum today I realized that this would actually be an improvement considering the message board diarrhea since last night from a certain poster.
  5. I'm really going to need the recruiting forum to learn that the apostrophe goes before the 2 digit shortened year numerals. It's an epidemic worse than tackling in the Mack Brown and Manny Diaz era. It is '05, it is not 05'. Also *Kasey Also also *Studdard Thank you.
  6. They have a formula for number of teams per league which changes season to season. Good luck getting the SEC and B10 to agree to that.
  7. Well we're in the SEC now. Just like adding teams from Texas opens up the state to your conference for recruiting, adding Texas to your conference opens up your state to us.
  8. Not gonna lie, I hate the idea of a number of bids for each conference being decided before the season but it might be worth it for championship weekends like that. Only immediately obvious downside is that then there's almost no way the SEC goes to 9 conference games.
  9. Exactly. Texas's response should be that we scheduled Michigan and played an SEC schedule. Not much more we can do. If that ended up being only one ranked team maybe the media should stop fluffing the SEC so much.
  10. There is so much wrong with this post but I'll try to take it in order. 1. 109k rabid Aggie fans - Incorrect. There were plenty of Longhorn fans there. 2. Highest priced resale tickets in CFB history - Incorrect. For a regular season game that looks correct. Which means it's not correct for bowl games. Bowl games are not as rabid of an environment the reason for which brings me to my point - ticket price does not correlate to crowd craziness. In fact, at a certain point it's inversely related. Sky high prices actually price out a large percentage of louder and crazier (read: younger) fans who are replaced by quieter fans (older). 3. No tougher road environment has ever existed - Laughable. The environment had zero effect on the game whatsoever. Texas had no communication issues, no false start issues (I think we had one which was Goosby and as a newb likely had nothing to do with crowd noise), and the crowd was tame by the second quarter one they realized they were getting physically annihilated. The ONLY reason you would believe it was the scariest environment imaginable is because Aggies said it was going to be before the game. As usual, they were full of shit. Sarkisian even noted that he thought it would be louder.
  11. Can't believe the replay booth didn't catch that forward lateral.
  12. No they didn't, not really. Aggies claim that and the media runs with it but Kyle Field is no more of an advantage than a hopping Autzen, Ohio Stadium, or others. But you're correct that the crowd will have basically nothing to do with the outcome.
  13. Should be the week after Florida/Georgia to even things up.
  14. People in this thread love to use "who would be favored" against the Big 12 when talking about top SEC teams. Why are none of you discussing the fact that Iowa State and Arizona State would both be favored over Boise State? Yormark is correct that the MWC winner should not be seeded higher than the B12 winner even if his reasoning is inaccurate. Boise State is overranked.
  15. Now it certainly doesn't mean one guy can't be good, but Purdue this year was historically terrible as we all know. I have them as the 8th worst power conference team this century ahead of only a couple of Duke squads, a couple of Kansas squads, an Indiana team, and the infamous 2008 Apple Cup participants.
  16. Exactly, I don't hear many New York Giants fans worried about how they lost to Dallas twice and also New England in the regular season and didn't even win their division in 2007.
  17. By definition the runner would have to fumble the ball before it breaks the plane of the goal line extended (or else it would be a touchdown). If the runner is no longer in possession of the ball then the goal line extended no longer exists. So the ball is simply fumbled out of bounds without having entered the end zone.
  18. Joel Klatt really wishes this were true.
  19. Correct, this eliminates the possibility of fumbling for a touchback.
  20. I'm hoping for UNLV to win also because I think Boise is way overranked. And then the B12 game Saturday is for both a berth and a bye so that one will be even more fun.
  21. Trust the coaches, got it. There is no need for you to contribute any further, we understand your position on every issue moving forward.
  22. Are you asking if Oregon (or whoever is the #1 seed) would get to choose who plays where in the semifinals even if they lose in their quarterfinal? I'm going to guess that no, they would not. So it's pretty clearly the highest remaining seed.
  23. 1. SEC, 528-288, 0.647 2. Big Ten, 432-450, 0.490 3. Big 12, 374-442, 0.459 4. ACC, 348-502, 0.409
