I agree that the 3 hour plus runtime will depress ticket sales as far as multiple viewings go. Obviously still going to crush it.

This sounds like you're arguing that everyone wins with the plan while wondering why people like the plan.I'm not sure I'm understanding this. Rich folks currently own most of the wealth in the stock market. You propose to invest more money into the market on behalf of regular folks. Which will cause prices and valuations of the market to go up, which raises the value of the stocks currently owned by the rich folks. Regular folks might get a bit of benefit, but the rich would make out like bandits. Literal bandits with eyemasks and the whole works, taking chests full of gold bullion from the train.

How is Texas favored by 1 point?
TCU should be favored by 5 or more?
ESPN Preview: http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/game?gameId=401123694
Pretty much every single computer system has Texas favored over TCU. Even Massey, where TCU has a higher overall ranking, give the power rating (prediction) edge to Texas. We're obviously missing Hayes but it's not a shock that we're favored or anything.

It's pretty remarkable that a guy with a couple of state titles at a semi-dynastic school would be such a team player. His high school resume, if not his college performance, was a recipe for cuntiness (I'm looking at you Kyler Murray). That he avoided that is a testament to his character, and probably his parents.
Perhaps his team leadership had to do with that semi-dynastic run. Guyer's records:
14-2 (with Heard)
15-1 (with Heard)
10-2
10-4
9-3
7-4

I liked the comment that this result has immediately removed all cloud of doubt regarding previous elections. Ha. Double ha.

Yeah, Byrnes is definitely the one to focus on. What a clown post.

Because Few has done everything he's done without a steady stream of 5* players and the people that (I guess) want him hired here think that with better talent his extremely good record against extremely mediocre competition would be an extremely good record against extremely good competition with a better chance of turning into a national championship. The thinking is that those Gonzaga teams that bounce off Few's mid-major-talent-level glass ceiling would have some difference-making one-and-dones and break through.
That's what we thought about Barnes, too.
Turns out some coaches just communicate with and motivate a scrappy roster better than a star-laden roster. Barnes didn't need a roster full of 5-stars, he needed a roster full of PJ Tuckers and Royal Iveys. Guys with fringe NBA talent who might make a career based on busting their ass and intelligence on the court. Give him a two-deep of those guys and you'll have the ultimate Barnes team. -

Yeah, no thanks. I try to avoid morons. The dictionary would take care of that for me, but of course I realize that doofus doesn't pay attention to facts and definitions when they contradict the reality he wants to believe.

Correct, no injury information. But it still has Virginia with a 64.7% chance of beating Auburn.

Here are the 4 outcomes where I don't win it alone:
HornOnTheBayou wins if:
Kentucky beats Auburn
Michigan St. beats Duke
...
Kentucky beats Virginia
Michigan St. beats Texas TechHe then wins regardless of whether Kentucky or Michigan State wins the national championship game (so this is two possible outcomes).
Capn81 wins if:
Kentucky beats Auburn
Duke beats Michigan St.
...
Kentucky beats Virginia
Texas Tech beats Duke
...
Texas Tech beats Kentucky for the national championship.Tie between me and Capn81 if:
Kentucky beats Auburn
Michigan St. beats Duke
...
Kentucky beats Virginia
Texas Tech beats Michigan St.
...
Texas Tech beats Kentucky for the national championship. -
Through Virginia win:
Poster - Win Probability (# Paths) Huckleberry - 90.93% (28) HornOnTheBayou - 4.95% (2) Capn81 - 2.20% (1) Tie - 1.92% (1) Jack Straw - 0.00% (0) Goo Punch - 0.00% (0) IPoopOnWhoop - 0.00% (0) Bartles - 0.00% (0) BigOrange1 - 0.00% (0) Poster, Current Score, EV Huckleberry, 87, 107.56 Capn81, 54, 68.45 HornOnTheBayou, 47, 61.62 Jack Straw, 49, 49.00 IPoopOnWhoop, 42, 42.00 Goo Punch, 36, 36.00 BigOrange1, 24, 24.00 Bartles, 21, 21.00 -

Through Texas Tech win:
Poster - Win Probability (# Paths) Huckleberry - 81.40% (48) HornOnTheBayou - 7.79% (6) Capn81 - 5.37% (5) Jack Straw - 4.24% (4) Tie - 1.19% (1) Goo Punch - 0.00% (0) IPoopOnWhoop - 0.00% (0) Bartles - 0.00% (0) BigOrange1 - 0.00% (0) Poster, Current Score, EV Huckleberry, 83, 104.87 Capn81, 54, 68.71 HornOnTheBayou, 47, 62.06 Jack Straw, 49, 57.88 IPoopOnWhoop, 42, 42.00 Goo Punch, 36, 36.00 BigOrange1, 24, 24.00 Bartles, 21, 21.00 -
Wouldn't be hard at all. Just give me a list of team/entry names and who each team drafted. Setting up the spreadsheets in the first place was the hard part. Plugging in for a different contest should take 10 minutes tops.

Through the Sweet 16:
Poster - Win Probability (# Paths) Huckleberry - 87.39% (102) HornOnTheBayou - 6.51% (12) Jack Straw - 3.80% (8) Capn81 - 1.88% (5) Tie - 0.42% (1) Goo Punch - 0.00% (0) IPoopOnWhoop - 0.00% (0) Bartles - 0.00% (0) BigOrange1 - 0.00% (0) Poster, Current Score, EV Huckleberry, 83, 104.52 HornOnTheBayou, 47, 61.23 Jack Straw, 49, 57.73 Capn81, 42, 54.43 IPoopOnWhoop, 42, 47.73 Goo Punch, 36, 36.00 BigOrange1, 24, 24.00 Bartles, 21, 21.00 The one possible remaining tie is between Capn81 and me at 87 points. It happens if the Final Four is Texas Tech beating Michigan St., Kentucky beating Virginia, then Tech beating Kentucky for the title.

Kind of a weird position to be in. Texas will be the big name program everyone is cheering against in the championship game of a postseason basketball tournament.
