I assume that's on Twitter? People who twitter should simply respond with:
"The Investigative Report also found that YOU WIPED YOUR PHONE to hide incriminating evidence, YOU LIED TO INVESTIGATORS, and YOU FALSELY ACCUSED Courtney Smith of recanting her allegation."

Don't worry, we all know you would have hurried over here to post the rumor you'd heard just as quickly if it was that the shooter was a big Trump supporter. Right everyone?Yes, because posting on this board is the same as speaking to millions of people on a nationally broadcast radio show. /facepalm
I get you're a nut who takes this shuper sheriously and all, but I saw some reports he was a Trump basher, I specifically avoided blaming the attack on that, and I made sure not to state with certitude what I'd seen online was fact. I didn't know I was being held to the journalistic standards of the NYT, but I don't really think I was out of line.
So, in short, clutch your pearls harder, Shirley.

I have never said she would be as bad as Trump. Find where I said that. I’ve never said one good thing about Trump; not on here, not on the shag, not anywhere. Find a non negative statement I’ve made about that asshole...you can’t.
Im not a Democrat and I’m not a republican; I think you all suck. I’ve voted Libertarian, as a protest vote, in the last 4 POTUS elections because I haven’t liked anyone either of the parties have nominated. It don’t make a shit b/c I live in Texas.
You want to go accuse people who didn’t vote Hillary for getting him elected, fly to the rust belt and knock yourself out.
If you don’t like that answer, you’re free to neg away and kindly fuck off.
You're a fucking idiot. I'm not a Democrat or Republican and I never said you like Trump or have ever said anything positive about him. Untwist your panties you pussy.
On and about this: "I have never said she would be as bad as Trump. Find where I said that. "
On 8/28/2018 at 1:37 PM, DigglerontheHoof said:And there were even more, like me, who couldn't bring ourselves to vote for Hillary or DOTUS. I, literally, would've voted for ANY FUCKING ONE the Dems put up, besides Hillary. And if the Dems roll that ancient cunt out again to run in 2020, I'll vote for another Libertarian.
Yes, Republicans absolutely own Trump as their own. But the Dems get a HUGE assist for putting up the worst candidate in the history of the U. S.
.Now answer the question you coward or go be a moron somewhere else.

I didn’t vote for either and I have no guilt about it.
Again, if either party wants me to vote for their candidate, get better candidates.
Done with you on this.
Explain why you think Hillary Clinton would have been as bad a POTUS as Donald Trump. The guy has a point in that I've never heard a detailed explanation of why she's worse that doesn't reference conspiracy nuttery.

Look, I don't go to the suburbs because they are the suburbs, so I just picked one out of a hat. Feel free to replace Missouri City with Cypress or some shit.
God dammit.
For the record in my little area of Cypress shit like that isn't normal at all. It's more "Republican because my parents were Republican" than anything.

lulz
That will last a real long time. You really think that coaches want to open that can of worms? How many coaches do you think are known by other coaches to have gone to a strip club before? Be serious.

37 minutes ago, Parliament said:OK. I spent a half hour on the phone with my liberal, Democrat, feminist, college professor sister. (No pics.) She has followed the Urban Meyer saga closely. And she knows Title IX, as she is subject to it as well.Shocking to me, she says Urban Meyer should not have been fired and she's happy with the outcome. No objective person sets the #metoo bar as high as my liberal, Democrat, feminist, college professor sister, if she's satisfied, maybe I can be as well.
A point she makes (and I won't argue it) is Title IX is built to protect victims, not punish offenders, and the UM/ZS saga is in a HUGE gray area. If CS were a university employee as well, this woulda gone much differently. You can bet that gray are will get fixed soon.
I am a guest on this board and I won't poop on it with any kind of an opinion of my own. Rather I will continue to do what I have tried to do; convey objective facts as best I can, and then keep my mouth shut.
Carry on. God Bless Surly Horns.
Title IX has almost nothing to do with why he should be fired. The investigation revealed that OSU knew that Meyer wiped his phone to hide any potentially incriminating evidence, falsely accused a victim of domestic violence of recanting her allegation, and lied directly to the investigators.
Any self-respecting institution would terminate an employee who did any of those things, let alone all three. That description, however, does not apply to OSU.
So tell your Buckeye sister she's an idiot.

FBS still has an "M"NC. If the system is set up so that a team can win every game they play and still not be the champion then it's not a real championship setup.
Obviously I wouldn't have bet two cents on UCF winning if they'd made the playoff but that's not the point. If you go undefeated then you deserve a shot at the title. That's why I favor only two options:
a. 16-team playoff with all conference champions getting in and at-larges by committee or old BCS formula. First round games at home of the higher seed, possibly quarterfinals too.
b. Split the big boys into a different division like they should be anyway. 8-team playoff with conference titles and at-larges as in the other option, but you don't need as many spots once the G5 teams aren't in the same classification.-

Wrong. Brothahorn is usually a good poster but in this thread he made a bunch of terrible posts that were basically trolling. He deserved to get negged. No I didn't neg him.Yeah I don't understand the negging of long time posters you disagree with. Trolls I never heard of til they showed up on surly to shit on everything and lie, yeah, those fucks I'll neg into oblivion all day long. I agree with Brotha sometimes and disagree with him others, but he doesn't troll any more than Hugo does. Neither of them are neg worthy.-

Do you not understand how bad at his job this guy is?
Well based on his belief that electing O'Rourke to the United States Senate would change how Texas is run it's pretty clear he has no idea what Ted Cruz's job actually is, so I'm pretty sure he doesn't understand.-

What's up, assholes? Welcome to the 2018 Football Season Game Prediction Contest. I did this a long time ago on HornFans, then for the first time on shaggy in 2014, and now we bring it to surly. There will be a prediction thread every week and I will enter the predictions into my highly technologically advanced prediction system software (i.e., Excel) for each user. I am seeing if we can automate it with this board software and will update y'all when possible. In the meantime, I'll post the results for each week but the winner of the season long contest will obviously receive a lot more shag cred.
2014 winner - laga4
2015 winner - EZ$
2016 winner - knoxtnhorn
2017 winner - ??? (8badmofo is a bumbling idiot who has no idea how to run a message board server so it's down right now and I can't check)Rules:
1. An exactly correct prediction gets 200 points. 2 points are deducted for every point you miss the margin by and 1 point is deducted for every point you miss the total by. 25 points are deducted for predicting the wrong winner. Minimum score is zero. So go ahead and make smartass predictions, no sweat off my back. You want to guess Texas ∞, Oklahoma -∞? Go for it. Probably a good guess, actually.Example: You guess Texas 31, Maryland 13. Final score is Texas 41, Maryland 7. Your score is 200-2*(34-18)-(48-44)=164.
2. Entries close at 5 minutes before listed gametime on the TexasSports.com team schedule page. Posts that have a timestamp after that time or an edit timestamp after that time are disqualified.
3. You can refer to the teams with what you consider cute nicknames if you want, but if I can't tell which team is which then tough shit.
4. All your scores are added up for the season long contest.
5. Tiebreaker for each game is order of entry. The prediction post that is first in the thread among the tied entries wins the tiebreaker.
6. Tiebreaker for season long contest is placement for the final game of the season prediction. Doesn't matter if it's a bowl game, a national semifinal, a national championship game, or the Kansas game if we don't make a bowl. Whatever the final game played is, that's the tiebreaker.
That's it. Any other necessary rules or rule changes will be made up on the fly. Good luck. Overall season winner gets jack shit.

Why does this club that I refuse to join give preferential treatment to its members?!? It's a conspiracy!

Perfect description because it really is. Eyes up on the ball, down at the target, back up at the ball to watch its flight. That is more like a golfer eyeing a pin seeker. Wow.-

I'm sure we've talked about this before, but there are three options and Texas has always chosen the dumbest and weakest. We've talked about it a bunch, but yeah, the schools that aren't aggie-level morons have it figured out. One of the guys covering Clemson for either Rivals or 247, I can't remember, is a fucking bagman for the school. Ol'Dabo also has an arrangement with a church for funneling money. Tosh Lupoi's single greatest trait is that he's completely devoid of integrity. He's a sociopath without a conscience. He's been funneling money and cheating since he started coaching. It's fucking stunning that he is Saban's DC this year. That won't go as well as either hope. Georgia has a payment program for handlers that is tiered from unofficial visits up to signed LOIs. The list goes on. There's all kinds of ways to do it.
Countering all of this is, of course, the argument that "is paying players or their handlers that big of a deal?". And on that one, I will admit, I struggle a little more these days than I used to, and I don't think I've had some sort of dip in my personal sense of integrity. If it isn't illegal, and the NCAA isn't going to do anything about any of it, then what is the problem? Holding your nose as you point your fingers and give yourself the assurances that you have more class than your trashy neighbors who keep playing for and winning national titles is cold comfort as a 5 year record of 31-32 follows you around.
You can play the game like everyone else. You can stay clean and turn in cheaters you have information on. Or you can stay clean, never turn anyone in, and cry about it privately to your own supporters so they feel sorry for you.
I came to the conclusion a decade ago that if we're not going to actively turn people in then we should join them. Fuck it.-

That play was karma from the college football gods. On the previous play Hamby had shoved one of our DBs into a cameraman well after the play. Not a hard hit but dangerous because of a potential awkward landing. No flag. That play won us the game. He catches that TD instead of them settling for a FG, we run out of time. Hamby bobbled the ball twice until he was separated from it definitively. I remember he was getting death threats from the Buckeye faithful that night after the game. That was an easy TD catch.
Next play that happens. He deserved it.-

Wait, you're telling me that a team with the best players spends the most on player salaries? GTFO here, no way!

lulz, BreitbartI'm not at my computer, so I'm not posting a quote/snippet, but the SPLC is still at it.
https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2018/08/23/david-horowitz-visa-mastercard-cut-off-payments-to-my-think-tank-based-on-splc-hate-group-label/
I don't care much for Horowitz, but this is wrong and another portend of things to come with the cashless society.
You might not want to throw around that "derangement syndrome" label at Hugo. Interesting that Visa has already completely denied the story.-

Who cares which had more of an influence? If #1 had any influence then that's a bad thing. The end.

If the fumble is against Oklahoma then he better not have to be asked.Clearly popular with his teammates, and it meant the world to him. He'd probably jump in lava to recover a fumble if asked.-

Yeah, I'm starting to see why our end zones are the color they are if Bellmont thinks those are burnt orange.
