  1. Yes the block in the back waveoff was terrible because the only possible logic for waving it off is that it was after the play, in which case it's a personal foul. It can't be nothing, but that's what they decided.
  2. That flare to the back shouldn't have even been an option and certainly not after a toss fake that wastes 2 seconds for no reason. Ewers has his share of the blame for sure but that call was dumb.
  3. No it was terrible because you know that play with the toss fake is going to take too long. You can actually run 4 plays with three quick shots. You can get three quick throws in 14 seconds.
  4. Absurd we had a chance. Last series was terrible by Sarkisian. We got beat all game then had a chance for a miracle and I'm not sure what happened. First down on the last series is the most inexplicable play call since Greg Davis called for play action on 3rd and 30.
  5. Not sure if it's a popular opinion but I would go for it on 4th down there so you don't have to drive all the way down if you get the ball back by some miracle. Then you can try a long field the second time.
  6. Not bad, some good roll there but he also doesn't get nearly maximum pullback before extension so there's still room for improvement in his foot velocity at impact. Wait, is that too nerdy on a high school punt clip?
  7. Yes, aggy became a funny word to use for a while but it's obviously gone on way too long but whatever. It's also not like any of us are physically incapable of calling them Texas A&M or the Aggies. Also, it seems to be forgotten now but step one of the process to aggy becoming a thing was the observation that if the plural is Aggies then the singular should be Aggy. And then it became an adjective for a short while when we discussed that basically every word that ends in -aggy is an adjective (baggy, saggy, etc.). At which point aggy was the adjective to describe Texas A&M Aggies before it took on the hive mind singularity meaning. The adjective form is still valid, imo. Texas A&M Aggies and their fanbase are aggy.
  8. Cardinals kicked Philly's ass all day and only some mistakes gave the Eagles that lead. I've never seen a team win a half and be down 21-6 like that before, at least that I can remember. Final yardage was probably 150+ in Arizona's favor.
  9. Your argument appears to be that I'm not a coach so obvious basic logic doesn't apply because of the super complex knowledge that Dan Campbell has. That's absurd. It's also telling that you abandoned logic in this post and has to switch to the you're not a coach argument. The Lions' misdirection was pointless and counterproductive. I have logic, facts, and what actually happened on my side. You have the assumed magical knowledge of Dan Campbell and his intricate knowledge of the unknowable secrets of NFL players because he's a coach and I'm not on your side.
  10. I'm not the one being obtuse. The entire theory you're describing depends on the defensive players paying a lot of attention to one guy but not the other two guys going up to the ref and then also ignoring what the ref says to them. No matter what the Lions do theatrically it all depends on the Cowboys not paying attention to what the ref says. No matter how you try to describe it, the misdirection by the Lions was completely pointless. It's probably even likely that not all the Cowboys paid attention to what the ref told them. But that has nothing to do with the Lions having 3 guys go to the ref and creating confusion over there. They wouldn't have listened to the ref either way. The only thing their theatrics could have possibly caused was for them or the ref to screw up the eligibility reporting. And that's what happened. The Cowboys would have paid attention or not paid attention to the ref either way. Furthermore your claim that the Cowboys would be paying more attention to personnel packages defeats your own argument. The Lions still had 6 offensive linemen in the game. The only way to run a legal play with that personnel package is for one of them to be eligible. 70 lined up in an ineligible position so it can't be him. The Lions can't hide that.
  11. This explanation makes even less sense. So the theory is that the defenders aren't paying enough attention to hear what is being said to their face but they can be tricked because they're paying enough attention to player movement by the other team. No, that's still incredibly stupid and pointless.
  12. You're strangely upset about this. For the record I think the ref screwed up but that his mistake was more than partially caused by the Lions attempting some confusing misdirection that was totally pointless. The Lions screwed themselves by being idiots and creating a confusing situation that has zero potential benefit (the referee tells the defense who is reporting eligible) and a pretty severe risk that came to fruition. Furthermore the referee's mistake could also very well be why the first two point attempt was successful. Because the ref only told the Dallas defense that 70 was reporting eligible that meant to them that 68 was ineligible. There's no reason to cover an ineligible receiver.
  13. There are plenty of videos of Allen looking right at Skipper as Skipper is running on the field directly at Allen. Then he points at Skipper, then he nods, then he tells the Cowboys that 70 reported as eligible. And yes the Lions screwed up because they caused there to be confusion in the first place. They were trying to confuse the Cowboys about who was reporting eligible by having Skipper yell at the ref as he ran on the field while Decker tried to quietly tell the ref he was reporting. The screwup is that there is no fucking point to doing that because the referee tells the defense the number that has reported eligible. Campbell completely Aggied up the situation. All they had to do was have 68 and only 68 walk up to the ref but they tried to get cute for no reason whatsoever.
  14. That ref is going to deservedly get held over the coals. Not only for tonight's mistake but also for being part of the crew for those two other games. Why is he even bothering to explain his side when the replay clearly shows it couldn't have happened that way? Huh? The video clearly shows Allen looking at and pointing at Skipper. Why are y'all posting screenshots instead of video?
  15. Dude it's been clarified that 70 was recognized as reporting eligible, the refs told the Lions that was what happened. And the referee clearly points at Skipper and nods at him and recognized him before your screenshots.
  16. The receiver was off the line.
  17. No, if Decker had reported and been recognized the formation was legal.
  18. Yep and again that's stupid. The referee tells the defense the number that is reporting eligible. Any attempt to be sneaky about it is stupid Aggie shit from Campbell.
  19. After watching it more times you're right, it's weird. Skipper wasn't in an eligible position. Only 68 needed to report, but it is 100% clear from the replays that the referee pointed at and recognized Skipper as eligible.
  20. Something else I just noticed. The Lions had 4 eligible players by number on the field for the play. They can't therefore announce both 70 and 68 as eligible because you can't legally have 6 eligible players on any play. I'd have to see the formation though, but don't eligible numbers have to report as ineligible in the NFL? In college formation determines eligibility.
  21. Correct because it's pointless. The referee announces to the defense any eligibility changes before the play. You can clearly see the ref tell the Cowboys about Skipper after he recognizes him.
  22. He was never acknowledged, that's certain. The referee never looked at him, pointed directly at Skinner then went to the ball to announce the reporting.
  23. No shit they liked the old model better, but only because there were fewer competitors. Now that everything is above the table their willingness to cheat is no longer an advantage.
  24. If y'all don't like it then just leave, nobody is making you Romaine here.
