  1. For those of us in this forum it is the two joys of schadenfreude and "I told you so" combined. We started stating immediately that the Fisher contract was absurd and would come back to bite them in the ass, then we told them that hiring mercenaries would backfire, then we told them that trying to finally ramp up the bag game as NIL was getting started was comically absurd. Throughout it all they insisted we were dumb and they were brilliant all led by their #1 idiotic grifter The Blooch. So now we are being vindicated while watching those morons implode. And they keep giving us ammo even while it's happening because they still refuse to admit that they were wrong and we were right. They know it but they are still desperately clinging to hope that they can somehow bend public perception to say the '22 class wasn't actually bought and paid for mercenaries but they really loved A&M. So they reject their first hire in an internet tantrum to hire the guy they foolishly believed could hold their roster and recruiting together. And he is pouring gasoline on the dumpster fire that is their program. All because they are too stupid and proud to ever publicly admit Texas fans were right. Which is exactly why it's okay for us to publicly and loudly share over and over again what mistakes they're making and how they should do it. Because the absolute best way for Texas fans to make sure A&M never does the right thing is for Texas to tell them what they should be doing instead. Every single time they have a decision to make they fuck it up because they don't want people to think they listened to Texas people or that they do things like Texas would do them.
  2. Texas and Alabama have some more important stuff to do in that time.
  3. Holy shit this just keeps getting better. And I have a feeling they didn't wait 3 weeks because they were looking for people, they waited until today because they knew they were hiring Bateman and wanted to hide it from potential signees. That didn't work to get everyone to sign so now they have to announce it to recruit with him moving forward.
  4. Don't forget that they hired Elko instead of Stoops specifically to hold the roster and recruiting class together.
  5. Good job by our 9.95ers not letting it slip that he was definitely already in. Bobby and Gerry knew that his NLI was already submitted but they didn't even hint about it until Bobby said something on his OTF livestream after Smith had already announced. I assume Ketchum didn't know.
  6. 9 years ago, class of 2014 - Terrell Cuney. I think he was the only OL taken in that class IIRC.
  7. Football staff sat on his NLI. He must have been in already.
  8. To follow up on my other post, in 2017 about 75% of FBS NLIs were signed in the early period. Went to 80% in 2018 and 85% already in 2019. Couldn't find anything on where it is since but at least I didn't completely make up that trend. Comparing Fisher's transition early signing period to Elko's is some grade A copium.
  9. The even bigger problem with Brauny's wishcasting is that the Fisher transition class he's referencing was the very first early signing period. IIRC, it had not yet turned into the clearly main signing period at that time so there were lots more recruits available for the February signing period.
  10. Can't wait for screenshots of stupid A&M posters wondering why a current high school senior liked Texas when he was 4 years old.
  11. I'm starting to think that you're dumb enough to actually believe that he's the one who seems triggered in this situation. You know, as you tried to convince everyone in your 5th post about how triggered the other guy is.
  12. Yeah, their schedule has lots of winnable games, of course, because of their joke of a non-conference slate. But then again they lost to Appalachian State with the mercenary talent on the roster, they've lost a bunch of talented players whatever you think of their production, and their new offensive coordinator comes from a system that specializes in playing close games against tough teams but also close games against shitty teams. Not to mention the system using the QB like a battering ram with a QB who's had injury and concussion issues. Should be interesting.
  13. Oh, I do read it. Which is why it's repetitive when it's elsewhere. It's not that you're wrong, because you're not, it's that you need a managing partner to keep you focused and on topic.
  14. Jesus Christ there is a thread for your fantasy college sports subscription website managing partner spiels.
  15. Posted from the shower by @texifornia. That's dedication.
  16. Sweet. Now updating player threads is your job. You tagged yourself in.
  17. "SEC meat grinder" (eyeroll gif goes here) doesn't really apply when your major issue is that you can't consistently get your hands on anyone in pass protection. His run blocking (yar SEC trenches so strong yar) was better than his pass blocking. Not to mention their SEC schedule wasn't actually that hard. It was pretty much as tough as a .500 Big 12 team faced in conference this year. The point that Bisontis was thrown into a tough spot is accurate. But this SEC bullshit is already pervasive around here.
