  1. The fact that you think it's very fair to essentially praise college football players for not quitting says all that needs to be said about their program. Also, we have a long line of mediocre white safeties who would love to have been treated as well by our fans as some of y'all are treating A&M's scrubs. Praise for effort, wow that's a stark situation over there.
  2. That's great, man. We're all really happy that you loved what A&M put on the field last night. Please regale us more with tales of how great they are compared with some irrelevant specific past team that Texas had. Great post.
  3. Best thing I saw here from today was those goobers decrying the cult of personality shit because the staff wore Elijah Robinson shirts. You know, as they're busy ramping up the Elko cult of personality. Cults are what those idiots do and it's one of the things they can't stop themselves from doing that always bites them in the ass. The administration had no concerns whatsoever signing those ridiculous Jimbo Fisher contracts because they knew as soon as it was done those morons would start with the "Don't Care. Got Jimbo." shit.
  4. This would be the most insightful and self-aware thing you've said in this thread if you had realized it was self-referential.
  5. I learned that my 2 year old niece is insisting on being called Birdie right now instead of her name. Pretty cute when you're 2.
  6. Hard working Elko getting around to reaching out to one of their commits 3-4 weeks after being hired.
  7. Self awareness isn't their strong suit. Imagine them having to hold on to all their recruits until February after the implosion the last month.
  8. 1366 pages in 5 years and 9 months. About 33 posts per day. They start that many new topics about Texas most days. Meant to quote the post comparing our thread length to them. Too lazy to correct.
  9. Bought some cheap seats on TickPick. We have a big group and a set of 10 tickets together opened up, otherwise we might not have gone but couldn't pass it up.
  10. Yeah I have no clue what Manning's plan is but always assumed 4 years here with or without redshirt just because it kind of splits the middle. Which is why Lacy's position depending on Ewers is confusing.
  11. Why does Ewers affect Lacy? Manning is here for one year with Lacy no matter what. I guess he's thinking Manning will start 2 years regardless? So if Ewers leaves Lacy is thinking he's only behind it competing with Manning for one year, but if Ewers comes back then 2?
  12. This is what we've all meant when we've said that if Texas ever finally won big on the field again that the floodgates would open. Although I guess after Burton's metaphor it's more like winning the conference and making the playoff was the loud noise that started the avalanche.
  13. Fantastic news. Also, we should create and staff an additional recruiting department just to help UTSA and UTEP identify second tier prospects that we think may develop into Texas level players but whom we don't have room for on the 85. Let's fully weaponize this program. Ha.
  14. Holy shit. Somebody with TCU must have sent that out. Awesome.
  15. Ah, okay. But that would prevent absurdly gerrymandered congressional maps going forward.
  16. Yeah that was the first thing I noticed. On3 has him about three tiers below everyone else as a prospect.
  17. So what effect does the Wisconsin SC decision striking their maps probably have? Calling all politics nerds.
  18. Oh man, Fisher still getting paid by A&M to torment them as a member of the Recruitocosm would be too much.
  19. Please God let Fisher go to Florida to replace Napier and take players with him. This would be perfect right after Elko's "big hire" from Florida. That's really the only big move I can think of as a possibility, someone tell me what school I'm missing that would be big. Obviously the main issue is there's no reason for Florida to take so long to fire Napier. But I can dream.
  20. In the Texas allotted section. I thought cheapest overall was 450 but obviously don't know for sure.
  21. That's not fair, facts and statistics have a notoriously anti-A&M bias.
  22. For those of us in this forum it is the two joys of schadenfreude and "I told you so" combined. We started stating immediately that the Fisher contract was absurd and would come back to bite them in the ass, then we told them that hiring mercenaries would backfire, then we told them that trying to finally ramp up the bag game as NIL was getting started was comically absurd. Throughout it all they insisted we were dumb and they were brilliant all led by their #1 idiotic grifter The Blooch. So now we are being vindicated while watching those morons implode. And they keep giving us ammo even while it's happening because they still refuse to admit that they were wrong and we were right. They know it but they are still desperately clinging to hope that they can somehow bend public perception to say the '22 class wasn't actually bought and paid for mercenaries but they really loved A&M. So they reject their first hire in an internet tantrum to hire the guy they foolishly believed could hold their roster and recruiting together. And he is pouring gasoline on the dumpster fire that is their program. All because they are too stupid and proud to ever publicly admit Texas fans were right. Which is exactly why it's okay for us to publicly and loudly share over and over again what mistakes they're making and how they should do it. Because the absolute best way for Texas fans to make sure A&M never does the right thing is for Texas to tell them what they should be doing instead. Every single time they have a decision to make they fuck it up because they don't want people to think they listened to Texas people or that they do things like Texas would do them.
  23. Texas and Alabama have some more important stuff to do in that time.
  24. Holy shit this just keeps getting better. And I have a feeling they didn't wait 3 weeks because they were looking for people, they waited until today because they knew they were hiring Bateman and wanted to hide it from potential signees. That didn't work to get everyone to sign so now they have to announce it to recruit with him moving forward.
