  1. "SEC meat grinder" (eyeroll gif goes here) doesn't really apply when your major issue is that you can't consistently get your hands on anyone in pass protection. His run blocking (yar SEC trenches so strong yar) was better than his pass blocking. Not to mention their SEC schedule wasn't actually that hard. It was pretty much as tough as a .500 Big 12 team faced in conference this year. The point that Bisontis was thrown into a tough spot is accurate. But this SEC bullshit is already pervasive around here.
  2. I think you're overthinking an A&M grad named Dustin who learned a new word from his toilet paper roll the morning he registered for Texags.
  3. Well I guess you can say he's organized if he waited until his hype video was done before entering the portal.
  4. He was very good but also very overrated. The media was in love with Stoops at the time (for pretty good reason shortly after the 2000 title) and bought everything he said without hesitation. During the first half of his college debut at Air Force the announcers were telling the audience to watch Harris because he was one of the best defensive linemen in the country even though he was a true freshman. They had no way of knowing something like that other than hype from the Oklahoma staff. In Harris's defense he did back that up with good play unlike other more mediocre players that got the same premature hype like Teddy Lehman. But he was definitely overrated especially when you consider he played in the Big 12 right after Casey Hampton who was actually as good as Harris was hyped to be. Being overrated doesn't necessarily mean you suck.
  5. 1. I'm not your bro, buddy. 2. I didn't even say Brown was a better prospect than Harris, only that he is not similar in playing style and is clearly stronger in high school than Harris was. 3. *brakes p.s. Tommie Harris was overrated as a prospect and player, so you can argue that part now that I've said it
  6. Well he was #1 in that one service maybe. He was #2 in the 247 composite behind Ewers. But given that Ewers was one of the only 1.000 players ever I don't think Foreman was actually #1 anywhere, or at least in any major service's rankings.
  7. Listed as 6'4" 265 in high school, 6'4" 235 now and it tracks from pictures at least on his 247 profile pages. https://247sports.com/Player/korey-foreman-46056100/high-school-218228/ https://247sports.com/Player/korey-foreman-46056100/college-268970/ I didn't watch much USC defense this year (neither did their fans) but his stats say he basically didn't play. Definite Texas A&M target.
  8. I mean that's pretty fucking slick by him to just commit and get the offer next. I'm going to tell my son to fax in a letter of intent to Texas in a couple of years.
  9. So I totally missed the Adonai "The Panther" Mitchell and Keilan "The Motorcycle" Robinson nicknames until now. Awesome.
  10. I'm not really a film junkie, so the only comparison I can make is a hypothetical one. He looks like what I imagine the real life version of the story @closetojumping tells of his high school buddy going up against Casey Hampton must have looked like. Although he's not on that level of strength, of course.
  11. Just saying that Harris was a combination of good strength and elite quickness for an interior DL. He did not have nearly the strength that Brown shows in his film, although to be fair I watched Harris in a full game so maybe Brown's highlights are overstating his strength. I watched a mediocre Georgetown team completely neutralize Harris (although admittedly with double teams). Brown is throwing guys the same size Georgetown had around like rag dolls in that film. But as I said it was a full game for Harris and only one. If you only watched the game I watched you would have thought Harris was a much better TE prospect when you left.
  12. Gonna have to disagree with Gerry's take on Brown. I watched Harris in high school and that does not look like a similar player to Harris at all.
  13. Alabama, Georgia, Florida. Our next 2025 commit must be coming from The Bahamas.
  14. Dammit I know it's Arrested Development. I'll take the L there.
  15. We really need an "Oh no, the SEC" gif. That text on the Jessica Walter eye roll gif from Modern Family above.
  16. It would also explain why there are tweets claiming Klein was at recruit visits with Elko but you can never see Klein in the picture.
  17. So our first two 2025 commits are from Alabama and Georgia.
  18. It was wind-aided but I believe he has a faster high school 100 meter time than Jamaal Charles. So I'd say "very slow" is probably an inaccurate description. One of our track buffs can correct me on Charles's high school times if I'm wrong but that won't really affect the point.
  19. I actually do know, the issue is that you're attempting to police topical comments because of unrelated previous posters' attitudes and comments. The current comments aren't even about Sun, they're about Cook's apparent hypocrisy (even though I think his comments were misinterpreted by many here). Also, as usual you mistake post count and activity for knowledge and fandom. Being the most prolific bloviating blowhard doesn't mean you're the biggest fan. It just means you're more likely to post a bunch of bullshit from sheer number of opportunities, which you certainly take advantage of. On pretty much every board.
  20. Yeah, every time I see that video I think "Man I hope we're sure Bledsoe was the dunk attempt"
  21. Clicks on link...list has Tennessee, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Oklahoma in the top 4 spots.
  22. The Nebraska coach is commenting on how Texas built a roster with transfers instead of homegrown players. Sun was a high profile counterexample between the two schools in the opposite direction. That's not obsession, it's relevant to the topic. Go police some other thread.
  23. You'd think what's happening right now might make A&M think that overpaying for guys turns them into mercenaries who will either play without motivation and then ask for more money to stay or take the money and bust their ass to get out of there as soon as they have decent film to show. But that would require thought and foresight.
