    It was a cheap shot and it was flagged (personal foul). Longhorn internet was rightfully pissed along with everyone else at Mike Davis for it and he issued a public apology after being publicly reprimanded by the Big 12. Because, again, the Big 12 always had to make a big show of not being easy on Texas. I look forward to the public reprimand for the Kansas player's cheap shot as well as Shedeur Sanders shoving a ref. Oh no, wait, they just said CU will handle Sanders internally and haven't said shit about the cheap shot.

    You keep saying things that have no basis in reality. ACC: 8 of 17 teams averaging under 45k Big 12: 6 of 16 teams averaging under 45k Every time you post something about the Big 12 it just confirms that it's a better conference with better fan interest than the ACC.

    Yep, lots of shit talking about the Big 12 on this board for obvious reasons but it's still a very good and underrated conference, same as it ever was.

    This is exactly it. It's not an actually great homefield advantage. Nothing in the numbers has ever said it is. Like most things with those yokels they just declare that it is and the media runs with it. They get really loud for big games. You know, like most power conference stadiums.

    Yeah, Northern Illinois was I think the third time Freeman has lost at home as a 20+ point favorite, right? NIU this year then Marshall and one other in previous years I thought.

    Well people are dumb so the articles make sense from that perspective. It's a bit annoying when official UT outlets say stuff like that when they know better and are well aware OU is our main rival. But anything for hype, clicks, and engagement these days I guess.

    Yes, and this year from about 20-50 there is just a glorious mess of mediocre teams. As an example I am willing to bet that as shitty as they are this year I would bet on Oklahoma straight up over at least 100 of the 134 FBS teams. Florida, too. The one team that ctj mentioned that I wouldn't is probably Missouri because I just don't trust them. But a lot of that is probably because I've watched them play multiple times and haven't watched some of the other teams in that mediocre club. If I'd watched some of them I'd probably think of them the same way I think of Missouri.

    It's a tremendous advantage, but you still have to play an extra game. Haven't looked at the numbers but I'm pretty sure you'd still much rather be one of the teams with a bye. But you're right that it seems close plus at #5 you get to host a playoff game.

    Yep, he called OPI that didn't happen when the receiver got near a defender on the other half of the field. That's exactly what I meant when I called it one of the worst calls I've ever seen. I think lots of officiating mistakes are just incompetence, but that's one of the ones that makes you wonder about corruption.
