  1. It will be really interesting to see if they can turn Austin into a productive player. LA couldn't figure out how to get him the ball.
  2. So it looks like they want route runners.
  3. S, WR and TE are most likely in the 3rd.
  4. Worth noting how many safeties are still left. Tarvius Moore and Elliott might slide to the 4th.
  5. Guard or Right tackle.. Connor Williams definitely makes this a hell of a line.
  6. Connor Williams here would make me very happy.
  7. Or he lied to the press because he intended on retiring on 15th year anniversary of him being drafted.
  8. Yeah because Witten secretly hates Jerry...
  9. Tap the brakes everyone. The idea that this peace will hold is premature. Over the weekend a federal judge in Hawaii will rule that the Korean War must continue. Take that Drump!
  10. Could create an opening for a H back type of player like Jaylon Samuels from NC State.
  11. Completely coincidental i'm sure. Witten knew he was done. Glad he is walking away on good terms.
  12. Jordan Akins - UCF.. I've seen him go in the 4th all the way to the late 6th.
  13. If you are going after a lineman that you expect to play year one, I think you pretty much have to take one at 50. You can probably get Jordan Jenkins in the 6th round which takes care of TE. 4th-5th we need to grab either Hines, Wadley or Smith at RB I like throwing a 5th or 6th at Callaway and that covers WR. That leaves a 3rd and one 4th to cover Safety and DL.
  14. So you'd think they are less likely to take WR or DT now? Kind of proving my point.
  15. Given how close Witten was with Garrett and Jerry, I seriously doubt this news is taking them off guard. They knew. On the bright side, they timed this so that now teams are less certain about the guys Dallas will target. Witten retiring exactly 15 years from his original draft date was not a coincidence.
  16. I don't think this impacts the draft at all and I seriously doubt this decision was spontaneous.
  17. 15 years to the day he was drafted.
  18. There are 3 OL currently available that would upgrade our current front. Daniels, Hernandez, Connor Williams. Outside of that, I don't think you have guys available that can step in and help today on the OL.
  19. Considering where we are picking, Arden Key could be a real possibility. I'm not sure they draft another end this year though and might just give one more shot to the guys they currently have. The one guy that could be a big impact guy that gets next to no love is Harrison Phillips out of Stanford. Guy is strong as fuck (42 reps at 225) and made 98 tackles this year flexing between Nose and the 1/3 that Stanford plays. He also has 14.5 sacks over the past two years (7 and 7.5) along with 27 tackles for loss. He also plays with technique so he'd be ready to play day 1.

  21. Apparently there is a pretty big talent gap at LB in this draft. If they don't get the guy they like in the second, they will probably go with Fountain (small school) or Callaway (major character concerns) in Round 5+. I'd argue RB is probably a bigger need than WR as things stand today.
  22. By "some teams" you are most likely referring to the smoke being pumped by dallascowboys.com. He's not a passive LB and a very capable blitzer. He'll play either Mike or Sam. PFF is comparing him to Kuechly based on how he moves to the ball and finds ways around blockers.
  23. Oh man.. Dallas has some options here.. Landry?
