  1. If Florida is resting its OL and Pitts for playing against Bama next week, I don't know what to say. GOing by tonight's effort, I think Bama would roll these guys without breaking a sweat. And two losses back to back could potentially also push them to a lower tier bowl although that seems unlikely.
  2. What's the story with the OL and Pitts? I was wondering about why I've not heard Kyle Pitts' name. Is he injured? Or in Mullen's doghouse?
  3. wow! nice to see fan board bets being honored! "Good bull!" But I'd have half-expected you guys to bet on Beyond Meat beef crumbles; Bevo would approve! (full disclosure: I'm a vegetarian, and so far I've only tried a Beyond Meat burger, that too just once. I was decent, not worth $10 at the eatery I had it. But they seem to be quite popular and have a lot of different products now)
  4. LSU is playing like they care. And treating this as the cross-division rivalry game that it is. I'll allow it. But Gata better wake up in second half.
  5. I wonder if Mullen is mulling it over with regard to some head corching job somewhere... haha
  6. Anybody not named Saban and a handful of others are just basically raking in millions of dollars simply based on the market for football corches. You can suck at an SEC school for a few years but still be a millionaire and then your college will give you a few more millions to walk away... so you go and chill, only for a smaller school to come calling and asking for your services... shit, you can live like a king in Jonesboro or any of these college towns with the money you make and bank. Then if you get lucky with a few recruits at important positions and win more than expected, suddenly you're the hot name and get called up at the higher level schools, and now at much higher salary. All the while, you've really not changed your system much nor made any other changes...because you're a corch and you're stubborn like a goat but you think you're the GOAT now and people at prospective schools treat you like one. We all should give it a shot at corching! lol Sure, the hours can suck and you can really become persona non grata in a town if you stink it up. but you become a 1%-er in all of America just like that.
  7. I think Smith really should win it too. WRs don't get it very often but he deserves it. Beleitnikoff for sure.
  8. I tuned in at the starting and it was like 7-3 for a moment. Then about 5 minutes of game time later, it was 24-3, just like that. I turned it off and did house chores.
  9. oh wow. i guess i avoided watching Tua... haha. in fact, i've not watched much Bammer this season either. They're just too good, and that's boring to watch.
  10. How many left-handed QBs are there? Feels weird watching Max Johnson throw. And why does it always look like Florida's WRs and RBs are running away from all LSU defenders, and their WRs get lot of YAC almost every time; may be a function of the short slant passing game? Either way, I know LSU has two INTs but that D looks overmatched.
  11. What is better than to be a third rate Div 1 football corch? Get hired for at least a million and up per year...and if you get lucky and get contracts from schools like A&M and Arizona, then you even can really suck at your job, get fired, and still get owed multi-million dollars just to walk away. A&M gave him $10 million and Arizona will now give him $7.5 million to not work for them. Fuckin amazing! How many bottles of top shelf booze can Stumblin buy with that much money? He doesn't have to work another day, unless of course he can sucker yet another school into giving him a big money contract in which he can flunk! Just pisses me off that A&M kept him so many years. Oh well. Water under the bridge and all...
  12. This reminds me of all the stories of Colt McCoy growing up in Tuscola and then him and Jordan Shipley playing catch. Brent Mushmouth was particularly good at those. Has it really been 12 years since?! dang! Tempus fugit...
  13. Don't think so. A&M has wins against both of them. And OSU is still having the question mark of not having enough games played, and now their Meat-chicken game is officially scratched too. I don't know that I want A&M barely making in at 4 and then facing Bammer again and getting their shit pushed in. Nonetheless, I'm pushing for a close Gata win. Don't need LSU showboating. And they don't need any help landing more big name commits, least of all from Texas.
  14. He's named after Kyle of the Kyle Field. He wanted to come play for A&M.
  15. he is listed as a Center; if he can make all the pre-snap adjustments and set the protections, that's great. Not everybody can do that. Foster is listed as a OG. In this class unlike in the past, so far only 3 OLs and all are non-cube, tackles. So there is still room for 6'5", 330# mauler guard like Foster. I think you guys would rather he end up at A&M than go to OU, if it's between those two schools as is the rumored.
  16. Well, he's in the portal now. Officially official. Maybe he can be convinced that he will catch more passes in UT's scheme than he ever in Aggieland. I gotta wonder about that WR corch; Wright and Demas are top flight talents (as is Kam Brown, going by ratings) that don't see playing time, but a guy like Chase Lane and Hez Jones get the start. WRs aren't getting many passes anyways while Mond is at QB. But does this really mean that Chase Lane is the better talent than Wright and Demas?! I guess we'll know if Wright does end up elsewhere and if it pans out in his new team. https://247sports.com/college/texas-am/Article/Dylan-Wright-transfer-portal-Texas-AM-football-NCAA-156562867/
  17. well put, VaginaLonghorn! ermm sorry... VirginiaLonghorn.
  18. We all want the Hand! Hand is tough to get!
  19. seems like LJ is UT's to lose. That friendship with Bijan Robinson must be quite strong.
  20. Outland Trophy Watchlist: Dan Moore (low 3-star) and Kenyon Green (5-star) Rimington Award Watchlist: Ryan McCollum (low 3-star) Mackey Award Semifinalist: TE Jalen Wydermeyer (high 3-star); one of 10 semifinalists, but the award likely goes to Kyle Pitts of Florida based on hype Butkus Award Semifinalist: LB Buddy Johnson (3-star); one of 16 semifinalists and probably won't win but great to see a linebacker from A&M get recognized among the top players; last one to win it was Von Miller. Doak Walker Award Semifinalist: RB Isiah Spiller (low 4-star); one of 10 semifinalists, but Najee Harris or Travis ETN probably wins it, but again, nice to see recognition. Paul Hornung Award Watchlist: Ainias Smith (3-star). 7 players recognized and only 3 of them are seniors; not bad. I bet it gets used in recruiting pitches. No DLs on the list though, while UT got Joseph Ossai recognized for one of the awards watchlists (Nagurski, I think), and Ehlinger is on multiple awards watch lists/semifinals from his sheer skill set and will.
  21. soo.... Herban? or Urbman? interesting scenario, actually.
  22. yep. that's the problem with most of the modern journalism; it is based on selling a narrative. the narrative is already set in their heads, they file articles and make online and on-air comments that fit the narrative in order to push that narrative. it sucks because it is formulaic, but it makes their life easier and it sells. so they keep selling it. truth, trust be damned.
  23. Nope, hadn't read it, sorry; just went by what was posted earlier by someone else and my own reading of DMN's sports pages... perhaps I'm reading them with my maroon glasses on and assumed they were pro-UT, but if you guys say they're more pro-OU, I'm not about to put up any fight. In either case, I stopped reading DMN because I felt they didn't cover A&M fairly... (but most of the world doesn't care for A&M, so it's a learned custom by now for BAS sufferers like me haha). cheers!
  24. DMN is pretty homer for UT sports, so if they threw in the towel for CUM, then I'm guessing more likely than not, CUM isn't happening.
