  1. I continue to be amazed by the wealth of expertise and knowledge Surly has for random position coaches nationwide.
  2. I’ll bite. The only actual measure where Sam is better than Brewer is the eyeball test (and some “Big Game” successes), and your football brain. Also, Brewer’s football brain. Brewer is a good QB (who is A Texas Legacy, I’m told). Sam has more to work with athletically and from his teammates. I imagine Sam as a senior with the experienced returning talent and the influx of new talent, will be one of the better QBs in the country next year. Brewer, while a solid player, is a targeting foul away from retirement, and Baylor lost a shit-ton of talent and experience on a team that proved in their losses this year that they have terrible depth. Baylor will regress dramatically. As far as the conference, please name one team outside of Baylor with better returning talent+experience at the QB position. Sure, there are possible good QBs at other programs, but there is zero doubt that Sam will be considered the top QB in the Big 12 this year by every football writer in America. While it is pathetic and comical to look at the history of the Texas QB since Colt McCoy, lets at least acknowledge that for the first time in a decade, we have a returning senior QB that is actually a fucking asset.
  3. If J Lo was wearing a maroon colored outfit with an SEC badge on her mons pubis, Bag Hag would be telling the world what an flawless performance it was by one of Jimbo's angels.
  4. I think it’s like a wedding planner.
  5. Giri/Haji is pretty good. It is very well done and very fresh for the genre. Starts a little slowly but really ramps up.
  6. Custer was the bomb until he got tomahawked.
  7. Jimbo is to Hitler as Liucci is to Goebbels. The corps is the SA/Brownshirts. See, this is totally relevant to the football board.
  8. His dinner conversation would be very awkward unless he was also fluent in German and Italian.
  9. This is as close as we will ever get to Liucci admitting he didn’t know shit about this. And Milkwort? Is that what you call the worst running back room in the SEC?
  10. Would you rather see the Texans rolling out Will Fuller again for another 3 game season, or do something wacky like draft Devin Duvernay?
  11. We will see how Baylor's strategy of bringing in seasoned SEC "strategists" pays off for them. Baylor is a Big 12 version of Ole Miss. A school that is not in the "too big to fail" category and who got away with sanctioned rape. If any school has a target on their back when they start getting out of line, it's Baylor.
  12. At least he isn't desperate for clicks.
  13. Nobody welcomes dirty recruiting quite like an aggy. It is really fun to watch Liucci getting all frothed up thinking hiring guys from one of the dirtiest programs in country will be the final 2 pieces of the "national championship puzzle".
  14. To this day I still haven’t laughed in a theater as hard as I did during those fake trailers. Fucking brilliant. sure, they could make the movie today. But they would have to cut the Simple Jack stuff, or change it significantly. Part of the point of that movie was making fun of what “could still be made fun of,” and pushing the limits. There were poking fun at all the moral outrage types. And 12-years later, you can’t say hello without offending someone.
  15. Don’t forget helping them with their resumes and LinkedIn profiles.
  16. Well, he’s better than Evans, so....
  17. This blueshirt thing is just a weird and sketchy rule. So just so I am clear, the NCAA allows a "non-recruited" player to sign after fall camp starts, who is immediately eligible to practice and participate, and that player can play in the fall, receiving financial aid like a normal scholarship player, but they will count towards the following class? According to this article, a Blueshirt can't play in the fall, but that appears to be incorrect:
