  1. The dumbest muthafucker in sports in any professional sport is and has been killing the Dallas Cowboys for over 3 decades.
  2. This is such a weird comment. The stats are there for you to find. Dallas is literally one of, if not the best defense in the league when Micah plays. When he doesn't, the Cowboys are the 2nd worst. If folk don't think Micah is an elite defensive player, basically top 5, then they either don't follow football, don't understand football, or simply suffering from an intense case of cognitive dissonance.....
  3. And...... it appears Micah is preparing to get the, "My back is jacked, pay me" card. Here's a little more..... About those grievances..... yea, he already filed one. This could get nasty and probably will tank the season. Maybe Dallas just needs Charles Haley to put his helmet through the locker room wall and scare the piss out of Jerrah again. Fun times when you have to deal with the Jones reindeer games....
  4. Again, I don't think this is about Sam being a starting QB in the league, that window is probably gone by now, it's etching out a career as a backup. Denver has 2 guys under 30 signed until 27' on the roster. Stidham was the first QB Payton signed when he got to Denver and they just paid up the ass for him to come back and be the backup - 2/12 with 7 guaranteed. Denver like most teams has decided to only carry 2 QBs, so there's no real place for Sam to ascend unless his plan is to be 3rd QB and make less money shuttling between the active roster and PS for the next 2 years. While the other 2 teams probably didn't offer much more than the vet minimum for this year (still way more than what he's making now), but we can surmise they probably have ab unsettled backup position and Sam would have had the opportunity to work towards capturing the #2 position, which is the catbird seat for guys like Colt and Chase Daniel to make tons of money although they never really had to play all that much. I think that's Sam's ceiling at this point.... a good next 7-8 years as a #2 making 2-5m a season as a vet backup who's steady when called upon but ultimately, good in the QB room and always prepared. There's no immediate opportunity in Denver for this and if rumors are correct and Stidham has comfortably accepted his own role as #2 in the league and likes it, then he probably sticks with Denver as long as they're fair with him. Where does that leave Sam?
  5. Not a great business decision..... Two 20 something's in front of him and Sitdham had a great offseason to be their backup. I don't think there is an expectation to become more than a backup but it appears he may have had a market to be just that and get some 2-3 job security. Now, he has to wait for an injury. Denver's a cool city to hang and I'm going to guess Denver paid him way more than a reg PS player.
  6. I love the.... I don't really vibe with the city or its culture and I don't venture out of my tiny little bubble.... but let me tell you what real San Antonians think and what the city really needs..... and while I'm at it, let me tell you about the local tourism and what it's really about. The bloviating of this blowhard is at an 11..... It was funny for a few posts, but dude can't read a room or a thread. Time to go fuck up another thread with your 67 IQ, helobious? What do you think? Last call?
  7. Eh..... Friends don't let friends drink the Bayless. That's a Skip rumor and it's never really been verified by anyone else. And it wasn't another HC, it was Al Davis, who in this scenario was possibly trading FOR Irvin. I'm not sure you can trust the source and regardless, it sounds like this was stream of consciousness type conversation, not a real, serious conversation to trade Irvin anywhere. Jimmy wasn't always leaving or at least it's not commonly sourced this way. Can you cite you're narrative? Jimmy is a mercurial personality who always judges his situation around if he was having fun or if he was getting bored or complacent or unhappy. Obviously, the relationship with Jerrah was unsustainable and he many times lashed out or responded poorly to Jerrah always stepping on his toes or trying to bully him around his contract. But Jimmy has spoken many times about his personality and how he doesn't look too far in the future but asks himself about his quality of life in the now (below). The Jacksonville thing was a Mike Fisher story, IIRC. It was about how Jacksonville was interested in hiring Norv Turner for their first HC and the owner approached Jimmy to get his thoughts. Jimmy, in one of his frenzies about Jerrah not respecting him, tells the Jacksonville owner, he should hire Jimmy and Jimmy would try and take most of his staff. The Jax owner, speaking with Jimmy with Jerrah's understanding, didn't like the conversation and never really pursues it. Here's the thing... Jimmy was under his infamous 10 year contract at the time. He hadn't negotiated down it was a bone of contention for the two. Jimmy screaming he'd take his talents elsewhere when Jerrah got in his way and Jerrah always reminding he was under contract and he wasn't coaching anywhere else. In other words, it's a fun and juicy story, but there's no teeth. Jimmy was under contract and Jerry wasn't going to let him out unless...... And remember, it's heavily rumored that Jimmy offered Jerrah 1 more year to go for the 3 peat and Jerrah, getting off cheap in the deal decided it time to go on a 3 decade journey of ineptitude to show real football people that he definitely wasn't one of them.
  8. Eh, that's not at all what that means.... It's exceedingly difficult to prove someone is faking a bad back. The MRI just says it's nothing structural they can see but inflammation and soreness can be extremely standard and not seen on a MRI. See Jalen Ramsey 2019, so it's extremely doubtful, they'll make him play if he really wants to feign injury. Now, he'll have to wear that brand or crown for his career, but most other organizations won't give a shit with someone as good as Micah. The quit squad is walking off or refusing to go into a game for no reason, so that's not really a viable option either. Jerrah can franchise him in 26 and maybe 27, but that would be incredibly stupid and economic catastrophe. Holdouts are always about how much of a disruption does the player want to be and how personal has it gotten between the sides. Again, what kind of organization wants this type of distraction. Has there ever been a good team in the modern salary cap era (so can't say Emmitt) have an in-season hold out on the team and then won a championship that year? I can't think of any. It's just another mismanaged situation which doesn't have to be this hard. Jerrah thinks he's smarter than everyone else and this is about his ego, his feelings, and his fear. This could have been and should have been solved a long time ago.
  9. Not sure inflationary costs could explain that level of increase, even as the country is descending into a recession. Rates are going to come down so the cost of capital would come down as well. I'm just wondering if there is some time period cost like a RE option roll, which is priced in, is the driver. Seems like a weird, but very specific amount.
  10. Saw this last night with the wife and we both enjoyed it. She loved it. Like Sinners, I think the hype probably over estimates the quality of the film, but both are good watches and entertaining. The performances are all extremely good, especially an old Amy Madigan, Alden E and Julia Garner, who is the youngest, most delicate person you can see as an old person ever. Fun time at the movies though.
  11. A picture is worth a thousand words..... Jaydon rolled his ankle again. This is some worst case speculation...... Blue says he feels fine. We'll see. This would be big news if he makes the active roster. It would mean they think he can probably come back in the first month.
  12. Why would delaying 6 months cost 80-100m more? Where did she get this metric from? What part of the project would jump in cost for so little a time period?
  13. I'm pro-Micah, but I find this stuff silly.... Pretty much..... I've always sort of seen this comparison.
  14. Pathetic..... Enormously stupid. Shows how badly Jerry has been left behind. He's caught in the 90's. So I reached out to someone who is in the Jones' circle. From some of the stories, the entire Jones clan lives in some sort of weird bubble where reality doesn't exist. All of them! Jerrah, the kids, the grandkids, etc. They all think Jerrah is way more important than he is and that they somehow control the NFL with their wants and desires. It was described as patently weird, but they are convinced of this alternative reality where they are respected and loved..... Basically, the Jones' are their own cult.
  15. The great majority of them..... Instead of quoting Air yard stats and trying to dill down, here's an excerpt of ESPN looking at the subject. They don't define it exactly like you but you get the gist....
  16. If Ehlinger gets cut, Dallas needs to scoop him up that day. No joke, he'd be the 2nd best QB on our roster.
  17. This may save Tolbert's spot on the team, but it probably shouldn't..... That pick we gave up for Mingo is looking like a total waste. Another fine decision by the Jones boys.
  18. Look guys.... Jerrah realizes he needs to do better. He knows! Does he fucking care? Nah, as long as folks keep showing up at the stadium and enriching him or buying Cowboys gear and enriching him or not challenging him in the media or in public and keep enriching him. He doesn't give a shit, because this is a soap opera to him, this is performative and the Cowboys fans are the saps which he does magic tricks for and makes his coin.... Around and around we go. The defense equaled the offensive points output that the offense did. Not sure that's good since the defense gave up 400 yards of offense and 31 points. Look at this asshole....
  19. The current secondary on this team may be the worst in the league. Hard to say, because I haven't scrutinized all of them, but I guess a better comment is, its hard to imagine there's a worse secondary in the game. It's fucking terrible right now. It's hoping for a miracle comeback by Diggs. That's...... unbelievable.
  20. I would cut Jalen Tolbert. For reals. I'd roll with Flourney and the kid who has flashed Traeshon Holden along with Jalen Brooks, who is a ST guy. This feels like Miles Sanders is being used heavily to see if he can earn a roster spot. It's been okay thus far (mostly not his fault), but nothing which has heads turning.
  21. Welp, the defense still can't stop the run or cover anyone so at least we're consistent. Without Micah, they're struggling with a consistent pass rush although James Houston looks pretty damn good. He should win a roster spot. Offensively? Still can't do shit without the starters except lose yardage. Milton looks good..... every 5th play. The other 4 he's terrible. Schotty's early grade is bad. Team doesn't look prepared to compete and his in game coaching is bleh.
  22. This TD was pretty and sort of the best of QE. Patient, understands the routes and leverage, waits for the DB to overrun the route and boom!
  23. But they may get closer.... Stephen is a pussy and will probably quit when the mob comes for him. Also, it's professional malpractice. Jerry is obviously in cognitive decline. He's out there just saying shit like your Grandad used to when he yelled at the TV, except Jerry has a franchise to fuck up. He's dumb when it comes to football management and now he's suffering dementia.
