  1. Getting to be a real problem.... there's some dudes with real experience still looking for jobs, but like to see this solved by the 3rd preseason game. Hey, why break tradition. 2nd rounder with known injury misses crucial parts of mini and training camp. At least he's practicing but he's way behind.... Wonder if we'll carry 4 TEs on the active roster.
  2. Okay, even if you believe they're trying to roll over cap space for a player, who will have 2 years left on his rookie deal and who's extension will almost surely be majority new and future money, not in 2024, and as stated they'll almost surely extend Dak who's number will become much more cap friendly along with either out right cutting DLaw or extending him for less cap hit. Not only this, but competing teams don't generally rollover cap money more than 3m or so. But even if you don't believe all that and the Cowboys are saving money for some sort of strange one year hit for a 4th year player, Jerrah certainly doesn't need to open his mouth and possibly alienate his 2nd best (arguably) player, which is the main point of which I was objecting to..... So if you want to live in fantasy land, let's fantasize together of Jerrah shutting the fuck up.
  3. Of course he is..... and we're currently 20m under. Don't be a simpleton. If you're on the same side of the argument as futureman, then you'll always been on the wrong side of the argument. Be better. I'm sure it will all be taken care of but Jerrah doesn't need to open his fucking mouth, but he always does.
  4. The dumbest man in football opening up his mouth when he should have it nailed shut..... Nobody...... nobody should fucking ever believe the owners don't have enough money...... fuck that. They have more than enough money to pay both.
  5. Looks like a good deal. 5th most for a CB as an extension so he plays this year as a seriously underpaid CB. Obviously needs to play at same level or better.
  6. I did fuckface and even admitted it, so fuck off and go back to the Texans thread.
  7. Actually, fractions isn't mine..... so I got it now. If he plays 17 games, 10 would be fine if it comes with 30+ TDs. He just needs to cut down on the RZ Int's..... on both ends.
  8. Dak will be 30 this summer. In the next 2 years he needs to be on a team that gets to a Conference championship (where he plays well) or a SB. Fair or unfair, this is how QBs are judged these days. Brees, who was hearing a lot of the same criticisms at the same age, won the SB at 30. Dak is a a weird age for a QB, you either get to a SB or win one and then you can have your 30's to try and get back there or you'll just be that "pretty good" QB (that he probably is) but always come with the rep of can't get it done. A lot of QBs who can't get it done don't get to start after 32-33. I'm sure there are couple but think about the older guys now -- Rodgers, Wilson, Ryan (done), Cousins, Tranny, etc. Cousins and Tranny may be on their last years as starters in the league or be the gap starter for a rookie the rest of their careers. Dak only has a couple of years before that's him. Doesn't matter the stats he puts up. Again, maybe it's fair, maybe it's not, but it's how the perception of QBs has grown.
  9. They still need a crazy as fuck LB who can play 3 downs but especially stop the run. We still need a ballhawking safety to control the middle of the field. We still need one more CB so we don't have to rely on guys who have always gotten beaten by playoff level WR corp, but certainly we made strides and sometimes the offseason doesn't present an opportunity like FS (weak ass draft, poor FA market), but I do hope Mazi can give us 25-30 good to very good snaps this year. Health, as always, will typically dictate which one of the 5-6 real contenders go forward in the playoffs. My real concern is Fat McCarthy back as a play caller. He wasn't great in the last couple of seasons in GB and I'm not sure he's the answer now. This could be a disaster on that side of the ball. We'll still score points because we have talent but will he be better than Moore in crunch time? Moore wasn't very good in in-game adjustments and it's never been McCarthy's calling card. Or it could all come together and we could get to the Conference Finals. Who knows.... but I do have some concerns about OL injuries and we need another RB desperately (not Zeke)....
  10. Hopkins probably will cost 7-10m more than Cook so there's definitely a price difference. Additionally, while the team has already admitted they fucked up with Cooper with the Cooks trade, doubling down and getting another high priced vet would be even more of a public transaction which admits how much they fucked up last offseason. I'm not sure the marginal value Hopkins could bring would be worth it. It will have to do where Gallup is in his 2nd year after injury. If he sucks again..... man, what a mistake his contract was.
  11. I think it matters what the term "pay" means. We're talking about close to the minimum with Zeke, are we talking about that with Cook? 3m per? 4m? 6 or 7m? I wouldn't do the latter but the former??? Instead of Zeke.... probably so. I think he ends up in the AFC.
  12. Speaking of Dejounte, when and why did he turn into such a dick? That trade looks like a heist right now. We'll see what it bears in fruit.
  13. They wouldn't..... Ayton has shown he shrinks in the playoffs. Ayton's a very good pick and dive big, but he either needs to extend or get a legit post game. And now he's expensive. Think I'd rather take the chance of a home run with the 3rd pick. This is a stupid idea. Besides: No. Wait, yes. Why pay a declining player a ton of money who's also a major distraction especially when he plays a similar game to one of your foundation pieces. Besides 19-20' which was weird, this is Draymond's worst year since his rookie's. Maybe if he was insanely cheap but even then..... extremely doubtful. Go home OKC fan...... you're drunk. Vassell b/c of age and fit but White's a better player right now. He should, he's 28, and in his prime. Yuck. Vassell vs Kawhi is a crazy bad comparison.
  14. Guess who’s back? Back again. Los Spurs back. Tell a friend. Let’s fucking go!!!!!!
  15. I'd like to be "forced" to sign one of the 2 biggest contracts in NFL history. And no, it wasn't at all like the Ravens initial offer. He received 50 million more in guaranteed dollars at initial signing and will get 40m in guarantees a year sooner than the initial offer, which will give him about 35m more in 2025. In any terms, on any situation, unless something comes to light like it's not guaranteed for injury or a pot violation, Lamar did okay for himself and saved himself about 7.5m not hiring an agent. You may not like Lamar or his game, but he bet on himself and did very well at the negotiating table.
  16. Ringo may end up safety. He has problems with his agility and turning in space. Look at his RAS. His shuttle and 3-cone are awful for a CB. He's big and runs well straight ahead. I think he could probably be a nice safety though. of not, a boundary corner.
  17. A fave pickup of mine too in UDFA. I'll say Dallas seems to have done pretty good in UDFA. Like 5-6 were considered draft worthy by many. Of course, we won't know until TC and these guys can see if they can contribute. Some will go PS, some will go on the IR for a redshirt year, but I seem to remember we started like 3 UDFA's on offense for a game or two last year so they can contribute. See above. Pretty interested in Kuepke, Wheat, Land, Durden, and Johnson. I'm okay with Schooner, I just dislike his age. It'll be interesting to see how Washington does, but Schooner is actually a very good athlete so in a couple of years, he could really be a contributing player playing in a nice TE room with Ferg and Hendershot (UDFA). I get he's not sexy. This was a Dan Quinn draft so we'll see what happens. Wasn't impressed by the slow corner we traded up for, either but I guess we'll see. Definitely isn't going to win many Monday morning analyst grades and that's a little worrisome but they're wrong as much as they're right. Didn't have a full "special teams" draft of infamy, but maybe not as far off. He'll probably compete for 3rd down back and KR. My concern is whenever they see him, defenses will simply blitz forcing him to play pass pro. He'll have to show he can block. If not, then he's just a little guy. But dude has hands. I'd like to see us kick the tires on Kareem Hunt. Some rumors about he lost some speed but he was also playing on a bad ankle last year. I'm intrigued if he has anything left more than Ronald Jones. He's only 27-28.
  18. I stated the same thing..... He probably is going play around 270-275 lbs, but here is a telling stat to play as package player too..... We're finally addressing our terrible run defense..... The Niners have shown us the past two years, you better be able to stop the run in the playoffs.
  19. Sort of reminds me of Bradley Anae for Fehoko, in that he's a poor athlete but just absurdly productive. Now Fehoko is much more versatile. With his build and weight, he almost looks like a spin down option on passing downs but can probably play some RDE in certain packages, can play the run too. Can't say I've seen enough of him to really weigh a heavy opinion. Not sure how this helps you get to the QB, but certainly interesting trivia...
  20. He's a really good athlete, a little better than anyone we've had since Martellus. Here's a good look. Problem is he's old. We get this guy in the 3 or 4th round, we're probably excited as hell. He's a better athlete than Ferguson and I think we can all agree we were satisfied with his rookie year. Definitely an unsexy draft thus far though. Probably get a OG in the 4th. LOL.
  21. He needs to get stronger and he's a really good athlete but not an elite for the position. I tend to trust Quinn's evaluations so I'll be cautiously optimistic and he'll be easy to root for but dude needs another 10 lbs on him and he needs to come in with his hair on fire. I'll say this, McClay and company have a game plan for their drafts and they tend to stay very specific to them. They don't account for falling players much and tend to ignore them if they do. They did see the weaknesses as a lot of us did: 0-1 Tech, CB, TE, Hair on fire LB, RB, OG. I expect to see a CB, RB or guard next....
  22. It's a defensive player. Ringo? Wow..... Overshown? Eh.... okay.
  23. For those that don't understand the reference..... As I saw one tweet, hippies grew up to be conservative assholes. Everyone wants it exactly as they wanted it like they were 21.
