  1. Zekes can be shed this offseason. If they don’t it’s gross mismanagement and shows they’re not serious about winning a SB.
  2. That’s most likely ballgame. Terrible coaching decision. A few thoughts overall: This loss will linger with Dak and it should. He’s been poor most of it. He played poor football. Zeke is done. He had a productive first half of the season but like last year the wheels fell off. Last year was injury. This year, age. Losing Cooper with no real back up plan was terrible mismanagement. Schultz is nice but nowhere needed at 9m+ per year. again, again, again. Another Cb or two, another LB who can stop the run. A 1 tech. They’ve known it all season. Yet they did nothing to address with any real solution. jones’ suck. Franchise could really be better without the entire clan. Always next season….. Fuck that. Fuck them!
  3. No loss is completely on one unit or another. The D has played well enough to win. Are they dominant? No. But they played well enough to win thus far. Offense has not.
  4. Gallup has been below average most of the season. Odd folks wanted to rely on him today. I guess maybe there was hope…. Still is.
  5. What a win..... perfect game flow for Dallas. Get up early and let the pass rush do it's thing. We ran the ball way better than I thought. Pollard was excellent and Schultz had a really nice game. Dak was in total control after finding his rhythm and was the way better QB this night (obviously not career wise). Congrats to the team. Now..... gotta go find a kicker.
  6. You're not? It's literally a kick with almost no defense. It's as easy as it gets...... Maher deserves almost all of the blame. We can't even attempt a FG now. It's truly a horrendous disadvantage.
  7. Love, love, love that 4th down call. May be best all year. Boot. Naked bootish....
  8. I actually think this may take 27-30 to win...... Our secondary is dog shit, but Tampa hasn't really tested us deep.
  9. It's amazing what happens when your offense doesn't suck on first down..... some positive yards on first down through the run game and offense scores a TD. Let's see more of that..
  10. The issue with Tampa is they're getting healthy and they're not the same team who was listless in the middle of the season. Vea is back. Wirfs came back last week and extremely important, Ryan Jensen will be back for the playoffs. Their entire secondary may be healthy for the first time all season dependent on Carlton Davis. Julio Jones is on track to be healthy. Bucs may be the healthiest they've been all season for the playoffs and they have Brady.... Now, does that make them a great team? No, but it makes them a very dangerous one. I don't think you have a SB team, but you have one who can probably beat any team in the NFC on any given day. Now, look at Dallas...... Everson Walls ain't walking through that door. With Brown and Lewis out for the season, the Cowboys secondary is simply going to be shitty the rest of the year. S-H-I-T-T-Y. As in a bottom 5-10 group on the outside. The CBs suck and you gonna run who, Wright out there on Julio? Bland on Godwin? Steele is out the ROS, and although they're hopeful Biadasz can come back, HAS' typically take 4-6 weeks, he'll have 2.5 weeks, so he won't be close to 100%. Hankins may be back for the playoffs.... best run DT, but he may not and will probably be gimpy. Finally, Parsons hasn't been the same guy since mid-season. He's still good but with a bad leg and now bad hand, he hasn't been DPOY level lately. Two teams who's injury situation is going different ways. I'd much rather play the Giants or Seattle or fuck, even the fraudulent Vikings in the first round, but instead we'll probably be going to the GOAT's home office as his team is getting healthy.... Far from optimal..... And no, we won't be getting the #1 seed, so you can put away that pipe dream..... Best we can hope is the 2 seed and frankly, that is probably a dream scenario.
  11. Looking like a huge bust..... another 2nd round miss. Just awful. Need to go out and get another solid CB next year.
  12. ILB is another terrible weakness..... We have some youth there who could develop into good players but they're not there yet. LVE is bleh. Just okay. But it's amazing how the Cowboys won't go out and spend small dollars on some of these positions...
  13. Welp, we can safely say that Nahshon Wright ain't the answer at CB. We just suck out there.... Fully healthy, we're mediocre to below average but beat up like this..... bottom 5 unit.
  14. Or…. Gallup has largely sucked this year, generating little separation and often running wrong routes. But that couldn’t be it, could it? I sympathize somewhat, they gave him a big contract and probably rushed his recovery but there’s no doubt, he just doesn’t have the same consistent burst. Hopefully next year….
  15. Bleh. Saints and Giants aren’t scaring anyone. It sucks to play like shit vs inferior opponents but I think it shows the ceiling of this team. They have to be perfectly healthy and need to play real well to beat good teams. All of the seasonal issues continued to kill this team today. Shitty D which doesn’t control the trenches and can’t cover. Offense which is still having a problem finding a consistent second outside weapon and one who makes 2-3 really boneheaded plays per game. It’s a fun team to root for but ultimately extremely flawed.
  16. Zeke does block for Pollard. Pollard blocks for Pollard sometimes. But nobody runs out a 2-1 FB full-time anymore. Another blocking surface would be better served with more athletic TEs. Game's about speed, spreading defenders out and playing to numbers in the box along with all the cat and mouse games which entail. Playing 2-1 formations as a base offense isn't really today's football. Defenders are too fast. We scored 34 points today. That was enough to beat all but 3 teams today and the other 2 played each other. Offense wasn't our issue today...... It was defense. We couldn't stop them in the 2nd half. They scored 3 straight TDs in the 2nd half and if not for a luckyish fumble, they probably score on that possession too. Why is it when a team loses, it's always the offenses fault..... The offense has issues definitely, but the defense sucked shit today. We shouldn't be expected to score 35 points every game to win. If we had scored 10 points today, then let's reconsider what we're doing schematically, but this was more about game management, specific play matching, and allowing too many points.
