They all liked Barry as a guy to get a drink with and go to the strip clubs with..... They all recognized he wasn't much of a coach at the pro level. He was there for the party, not to build and lead a team. Aikman was singularly focused and unfairly the job of keeping the team focused and in line was put on his shoulders. I makes me more a fan of Troy as a leader of the last golden ear of Cowboys football.
The Switzer hire shoud have clued everyone in on what a shitshow this was going to be with Jerrah driving the boat. It was the first of many back breaking emotional fueled conculsions, personnel decisions made by ego, and terrible draft, worse free agent decisions and 3 decades of ineptitude. Here a little about the latest:
As thought, the league thinks Jerrah is a fool and laughing at him. The Micah decision was just another of fumbled good luck. Whenever Jerrah gets something good (a top 10 QB via UFA or 4th round), top 5 defensive player in the league, top 5 picks, he finds a way of taking this advantage and burning it up like a tire fire. He has to be the dumbest football "mind" which has been allowed to hang around making football decisions. Good at monetizing the franchise.... terrible at running it.
