  1. Fantastic answer. All of it's true. Her time will come. If she improves she may even be a late addition; Chelsea Gray has a foot injury and hasn't played in 9 months. Folks need to take a breath. It's all gonna be okay. She'll get her chances..... maybe some time soon.
  2. Doubtful. Maybe in the teens, but it was only a partial tear and no other ligaments were reported. It's a minimal as you can get. I haven't seen where they decided on surgery. May just be rest, although I doubt it. Most likely a redshirt year.
  3. CeeDee wasn't going to do a deal in April without seeing what the market looked like unless the Cowboys wanted to set the market, which they're really bad at. If you wanted to re-sign him, you could have said last summer before he blew up, but it would have been early. No excuse not to re-sign Dak last summer coming off a statistically okay year, but checking under the hood, he had some bad luck. Now he's coming off a 2nd place MVP season and his market probably went up 10m per. Again, the front office is really bad at contracts, especially big ones....
  4. I think we're getting to the top of the WR market, where more teams just won't play in that space and therefore the top of the market starts to stall, sort of like you saw with RB's. Now, will it be as pronounced as RB's? No. Will you still see some big contracts for guys? Probably. But could you see top % of cap contracts stall out or even recede? I would guess...... yes, slowly. But who knows with the salary cap appreciation. I do not think you'll see the entire position just undercut like RB's were. BUT, remember when the league had moved on from paying RBs, especially those who didn't have elite hands, and it was thought the Rams had set the market, foolishly, with Todd Gurley??? And then a really dumb front office who made a dumb draft pick by picking a RB in the top 10, when 90% of the league wouldn't do that anymore, decided before his contract was up to re-set said market with a really dumb contract? Remember that..... Yea, that Zeke extension was so fucking fun. We're going to pay CeeDee, like we should and have to, and it going to be for a lot of fucking money. Remember, Jerrah's that option quarterback, just wanting to see more cards played..... Ha, ha, ha!!! Fucking moron.
  5. So....... she's Lebron? Or Luka? Or any current NBA player.......
  6. This is good information. I go with Cody personally who could never get in a rhythm because of some freaky injuries, but his stock may be fading a little. I'm not a huge fan of this draft. I use one of these picks for a good young starter or take it and trade into another draft lottery, probably with 8. Sucks because in a good draft, you probably walk away with your core. This draft is trickier and it's easy to see not moving the needle much. Hopefully the Spurs can get it right because the rest of this roster is pretty bad.... really bad. We had 0 guys who on a per minute basis really played winning basketball (TS > .550; PER > 15; WS/48 > .100; VORP > 1.0) besides Wemby. Tre Jones and Vassell were really close so they probably stay unless you get an insane offer on them. Anyone else? Should be eligible to move immediately if it's better for the team L-T. Jeremy Sochan is a losing basketball player as a package. I like some things he does outside the boxscore and in isolation but as a package on the court -- he's not good right now and I would argue it's because the staff has done a really bad job of defining his role. Team still needs playmaking, shooting, and some energy. Hope we can take a major step forward next year. The goal should be the playoffs.
  7. Congratulations to the Mavs and all the Mav fans in this community. Luka's a plain ass stud, but why you no let dat man have a beer..... Boy deserves to drink his beer. Finley, go fucking away.
  8. But remember back in that 16' draft..... we could have gotten Jalen Ramsey instead and followed up with a guy named Derrick Henry in the 2nd..... He's still getting it done okay. This wasa major fuck up. Cowboys were still operating like they were in the 90's, drafting a RB in the first 20 picks. Still fucking up after all these years. So Jerrah and Stephen die in a yachting accident in 2026? Almost there!!!!
  9. Jerry legit thinks he shut everyone up with this draft. He's senile and irrational.... Someone needs to call him on his bullshit but the Dallas media is bought and paid for.
  10. I absolutely understand this concern, but I think they've put themselves in a corner. I guess you could put Lang at C, Beebe at guard and throw Smith out at tackle, but they seem very reluctant to do so since they have an All-Pro with Smith at OG. If Guyton is just terrible in pre-season, then this is probably what you get though. I think Guyton will be given every opportunity to win the LT job, even if he may not be ready.
  11. Why are you skeptical when the theory has been tested and proved by several organizations year after year. Now, if you don't think Dallas is smart enough or cunning enough to pull it off, then that's something else, but it can and has been done. Again, it's not optimal but good front offices with veteran QBs can do it. And I do agree with you, the sweet spot for RBs this year were in the rounds they didn't have a pick because they gave them up for Gilmore and Cooks. When no one dropped, they followed their board.... Sucks, but that's what happens when you mismanage the front end of the offseason. A good front office would wait until round 2 and then snatch up someone who may not be part of the future plans of another team for real cheap.... like Pierce or Raheem Mostert or Jeff Wilson in Miami. Supposedly a monster blocker. I would say the TE room is taken care of. Someone is probably out of a job. I'm gonna guess Hendershot.
  12. He'll probably be part of the committee, but he breaks down a lot..... He needs to show he can handle 175 touches in a season, because he's never even had 150 touches in a season (maybe in HS)..... probably his upside right now.
  13. Justin Rogers. Didn’t we used to have a Jacob Rogers? This version is a horrible athlete, even for the position. This seems like a camp body play because we have no DTs on the roster currently.
  14. Uhm..... unless injury, Guyton is 80% most likely your starting LT for game 1. Beebe is probably your starting Center. From there, they just didn't have many picks. The 2nd rounder plays hard.... he'll be in the rotation most likley. The rest of the guys or prove or lose it as most day 3 picks are. The LB I'm sort of meh on but I think the Corner and WR are nice value, buy again, you're not expecting starter level contribution from day 3 picks unless it's s speciality player (punter, kicker, etc), it's amazing if they just contribute. The issue for the Cowboys is they've had such an extraordinarily bad draft, that they needed almost a miracle in the draft to build confidence again. Feels like a pretty solid draft.... it's just on the heels of one of the worst offseasons in recent memory.
  15. Anyone want to draft Jerry Rice’s kid, just to make Jerry dress in Cowboy gear? We need another playmaker…
  16. Carson was probably a better prospect than any of the RBs remaining on the board. As pointed out Pacheco was a 7th rounder, Fournette for Tampa was an in season FA, Damien Williams was a nobody, Blount for two teams was undrafted. Literally, your running back room can be pieced together. Is it optimal? No, but it's better than trying to piece together a secondary or offensive line. Now, will Dallas be smart enough to bring together one they need? Probably not.... But literally, for a lot of teams, RBs don't matter.
  17. The issue is this front office has a lousy track record in drafting LB's (last decade) -- Damien Wilson (he was okay for backup), Nzeocha (who), LVE (okay), Covington (nada), Smith (poor), Cox (nothing), Clark (maybe), Harper (gone), Overshown (TBD). For whatever reason, they're pretty good at OL picks but terrible at LB in any round, so when you "reach" for a LB with this group, its natural, and frankly smart to have reservations..... that's all. Parson was an edge, so let's not try and reimagine. This front office group is above-average at WR and DE's/Edge but struggles with interior line. Not sure who the evaluators are there. Regardless, He has good height, and looks like he can move some. It's weird, he didn't give up a TD in coverage in college but isn't considered great in coverage (good in zone, mediocre in man). He's supposedly a good blitzer. He has some natural skills with his hands where they played him at Edge some on 3rd downs, but not considered stout against the run. To me, it looks like this is a 3rd down LB who may develop into more, but reservations are fine. He's part oft he squad so we'll all hope he's the best LB since Sean Lee..... probably not. Reads like he knows he can make an instant impact on ST: May be nice to trade back into the 5th to get a RB. Nobody wants to go in the season with Rico, Zeke and 3rd day guy.... They may have to sign a guy like Dalvin Cook.
  18. Draftniks consider this a reach..... 4/5 round grade by most. I haven't seen enough of him to wage an opinion.... Seems to lack explosion. Isn't really a hammer.... meh.
  19. Thought they'd take the NC State kid.....
  20. He did, but that's more a function of depth and competition. He'll be an interior lineman in the NFL. Dallas will see if he can handle center. If not, then Lang, and you can let Beebe develop to take over from Zack. But they'll try him as a replacement for Biadasz....
  21. If his arms were an inch longer he'd be a top 40 pick.... He's fucking good.
  22. There's still some good ones left. It wasn't a great year and JB being the first one off the board when injured sort of tells you what folks think..... I'd be fine with Wright or Lloyd maybe the Wisky kid although he has some toughness question. The ND kid seems decent. There's several that late 3rd or even 4th would fit the bill. Looks like it's going to be a big committee this year. As long as they think Beebe can be a really good center (not just guard), may as well take him here. Hope Wilson falls to you or the Michigan kid.
  23. Seems like a LDE and hopefully a successor to DLaw..... Had a 99% score against the run.
  24. May not last..... We'll see. If they could get Benson and Beebe or the NC State LB, then okay.
