  1. I actually do too...... But can Jerrah still die? Last guy I was down on around this spot was..... well, Taco. But before that it was Frederick and he turned out to be excellent, let's hope for the same type of production, just without the career ending disease.
  2. Ewww.... LaVine is the CJ McCollum's of Andrew Wiggins'..... For the max or near, no thanks.
  3. Apparently..... even the Cowboys had a 2nd round grade on him. They said he was the highest guy on the board..... Need to find a new board. And yea..... as some of us theorized, looks like they'll start him out at guard. He'll fit right in....
  4. There's something spectacularly fitting that Jerrah will die having been an unmitigated disaster after forcing Jimmy out and being a huge loser. What sucks is the fandom has to sit shotgun in this dumpster on fire..... for almost 30 years now. Stephen may be worse, so I guess we have to hope for a family disaster?
  5. Never feels good when the New York Jets are clowning you in the first round. At least we have the 2nd round! You know, where we really make the magic happen.
  6. This guy is going to make us cry for the days of La'el Collins and Connor Williams. I'm wondering if they'll move him inside. Could have traded back into the 2nd round and got this guy. Not great, Bob!
  7. He's a project at RT..... Sheesh. Big upside but really raw and has terrible technique. Remember, we have a terrible OL coach, who's Fat Mike's best buddy. This has a bust stench. Let's hope not.
  8. Philly got a lot better tonight. Oh, and they just paid AJ Brown 4/100m with 57m guaranteed. But yea......
  9. Saints trading up to get a QB? Willis?
  10. We gonna throw away our shot? Well, well, well..... we finally did it last offseason, we jettisoned our old dudes, we opened up cap space, and we acquired draft picks. Now, some of this worked out, some probably didn't and some is TBD, but it happens when you realize your fate 3 years too late. We're headed in the right direction, even if progress ain't straight line. Let's hope the ping pong Gods are good to us and let's start the rebuild!!! Or continue it.... Some info: Draft picks! 3 of them. Probably makes sense to turn two of these into a higher pick or trade one of them for a pick later in hopes it turns out higher. Cap space! We gots them as well! Now, all we need is to draft or trade for the players..... Can we somehow acquire someone who turns into one of these guys? Questions remain: What do you do with Lonnie? How do we draft? How can maximize our 3 draft picks? Can we continue incremental improvement or do we need to get that top 5 pick? Fun time, but a lot of different avenues exist.... how should we proceed?
  11. There's also a ton of actual evidence and data which shows that Dak and the offense are all way better with Amari on the field with them. I don't think Amari is an elite, first ballot HOF type of player, but I do think he's an excellent route runner and easily the best outside WR we had and commanded attention and brackets. To give up on someone like that for a 5th rounder because we wanted to save our money for...... Randy Gregory? Dalton Schultz? Because we have to pay Zeke 14 million? Please tell me what we're saving our money for? Why did we show our hand and try and build a media narrative of how overpaid Amari was while the WR market goes crazy and sold him for pennies on the dollar? Are you trying to argue the Cowboys' front office is sound or even savvy when managing the cap? Since when/ Most insiders are literally laughing their asses off at how we handled the Cooper situation, regardless if you wanted him on the roster next year.
  12. Vegas traded him because they were rebuilding with Gruden..... how did that go? They're considered one of the 5 core positions -- QB, LT, Pass Rusher, CB, and WR. From a talent and cap allocation, these positions are generally (not always) prioritized.
  13. My bad.... Can a Mod merge these? Thanks!
  14. I think he can still play a little, but no doubt, age, conditioning, and rule changes have really done a number on him..... didn't see him tonight though, I'll admit.
  15. Because the God of Thunder deserves his own thread. Seems Thor is having a mid-immortal life crisis and going on a walkabout. Squint and you can see Tess Thompson, Waititi in Korg CGI, Russell Gladiator as Zeus, and of course, Natalie Portman, who is back as Dr. Jane Foster and replacement Thor. No Christian Bale yet..... but he's coming. And Hemsworth is looking pretty..... Thunderlips, or Hulkish with the died blonde hair.
  16. Kobe is an all-time great basketball player, he's simply not a top 10 player, and there's nothing wrong with that. And I did respond to your points on 09' and 10'. I let you know you could consider them but they weren't really his strongest years at least statistically, especially 10', where one could make the case, Pau was their team MVP especially in the regular season. It wouldn't help Kobe's case, really. And yes metrics or statistics tend to be the best place to give evidence or credence to an opinion, because memory or anecdotal evidence isn't really helpful. You seem..... sensitive.
  17. 01' wasn't statistically one of Kobe's best year's though. It was kind of on that 2nd tier but Kobe had a lot of years about that good. I'll give you it was his best playoff run, but what I'm telling you is, brotha.... you can pick any five years you want for the playoffs for Kobe and Kawhi is still going to outpace him.....by a lot. 01', 09'. I don't care what you choose. Hell, you could pick any 3 playoff campaigns you want for Kobe and sort of cheating because they wouldn't be successive campaigns and they wouldn't match Kawhi. Kawhi is just that good in the playoffs. And same with a reg season. Longer time periods help Kobe in comparison because Kawhi is always hurt.
  18. I think this is the best case for Kobe is ability to play through a bunch of nagging injuries and situation including a trial for raping a girl. Kawhi is brittle, no doubt. He'll have to live with that rep his entire career and life. It's part of his legacy, but when on the court.... at the heights of their skills, Kawhi was better and frankly, it's close, but not that close. Kobe also quit on his team twice in the playoffs. Close. Really his apex window was a decade, a lot longer than Kawhi's with a clunker thrown in the middle. So, yea..... if you're considering drafting to start a team and those are your two choices or you need someone for the season and don't want to risk injury or can't have rest games from your star, then I agree Kobe is your guy. Kobe definitely had more charisma as Kawhi has the personality of a used condom and Kobe got to play for the shiny and sexy organization of the league, the Lakers. Would we think of him different if he was in Charlotte? Probably. These were simply the best continuous 5 years of his career. You could pick his Shaq years if you wanted or only the 3rd year if you wanted and statistically all what would happen is he'd look less comparable to Kawhi. His playoff numbers would be a bit higher but not as good as his regular season numbers and nowhere in any stratosphere with Kawhi's. Kobe's best argument lies in his amazing longevity, certain performances which are more specific. He was a great player for a long time, but like almost every great player, needed very good supporting casts around him. Although I think it was a down year in the league, Kawhi carrying Toronto to a championship is by far the more impressive achievement for each. Kobe will go down as the greater player, for his longevity. But again, we're talking about peaks.
  19. Yes sir. I'm doubtful they subject him to basketball unless Denver is like 2-2 or something like that, which I doubt. They're a one man gang and usually those teams get exposed in the playoffs. Plus, Murray has been considered healthy enough to come back by the team, but has yet to want to lace them up. This could low key be an issue this summer.
