1. Somewhat. We only want to take on contracts which will help the end goal. We can be facilitators too, getting into deals and taking bad contracts, who we buy out, for draft capital. Have to make use of the all the cap room.
2. I don't really care. Good for them. They're going to move a couple more pieces so I wouldn't worry what they look like now. But how they do isn't really of concern.
3. A top 3 pick should garner a very good player. Look at the Rockets, they were at 3 and may have gotten the best player in the draft. But yes, #1 in a strong year would be just the thing that keeps the Spurs in SA, NBA..... are you seeing?
4. You trade them.... maybe together, maybe not. Maybe before the season, maybe not. Poeltl could easily garner a late first by himself. And yea, a couple of vets who are transitioning into coaching would be fine. All these young guys can't play all the minutes. Richardson is probably the starting SG if he sticks around.
