  1. He lacks self-awareness...... he always has. The chip on his shoulder has grown to be a mountain so it's always someone else's fault or who has wronged him. He hasn't concluded what he is...... a terrible contract and probably a role player now.
  2. It's not about the cap. I would guess they're that high on Steele so if they can get a top 50 pick for him then maybe they'll bit. Considering how cheap he is (one of the few good signings), it's sort of perplexing especially when you consider we're not really deep at the position. I guess if they were going LT in the first couple of rounds but it's not like it would be a sure thing. The Cowboys offseason, or at least the expected moves, are bamboozling. Still, nothing has really been done yet so I guess we'll see..... BTW, this slipped under the radar. So on brand for the Cowboys. smh. But Fassel gets to bring back this guy?
  3. You're not understanding. There are half a dozen contracts (at least) or other transactions (cuts or trades) in which the Cowboys could have done to get below the cap. They simply chose not to do so. They think salary cap space used on Schultz and others to come plus future space is more important than our leader on defense and our best WR. They may be right....... history says they don't deserve the benefit of the doubt though.
  4. Uhm..... like half a dozen things you can do to adjust the cap..... here's the first thing. You've never liked Amari and you've been wrong most of the time. We don't really use him like a #1 with so many weapons and I wish Amari would consider restructuring and giving up a little money, but to say he's not in sync with Dak is incorrect. There's dozens upon dozens of stats that all point to the same thing..... Cooper, while not the most prolific WR in the league, was absolutely the most important to the Cowboys and without a doubt their best WR. He dictates coverage and gets separation in man except for a few rare examples. He's 20m+ dollars. I didn't like that price tag at the time but once again, the Jones' were bamboozled by those nosy kids and their dog. We're going to cut Amari because we're a poorly run organization with terrible executives and it's going to hurt. That said, CeeDee needs to live up to his draft status and Gallup better be as good as the faith they're going to instill...... But at the end of the day, the Cowboys just suck at organizational management. I've seen some mocks with us selecting another injured WR, Pickens, from Georgia.
  5. This is correct and Dak's contract isn't obscene. By next year, they'll be like 6-8 QBs paid more than him and others comparable. This is correct. Sign someone for like a 2/12 deal. I love Bell for blocking, we should have never let him go. This is correct. A top 5-10 pick should be on your team playing at a high level for 7-8 years. RBs aren't a position with long shelf lives.... it's folly to draft a RB in the top half of the first and really in the first round now. Anyone arguing otherwise, really doesn't understand the economics of football with a salary cap. Carolina spent a top pick on McCaffery, who at his best is way better than Zeke and now are looking to unload him. Almost every example the last decade has proven RBs in the 1st round are poor investments.... from Gurley to Zeke to McCaffery to Saquan.
  6. I 100% agree except without necessarily Ertz. But yea, it's crazy they want to keep Schultz, who is basically like old man Witten (not ancient Witten). Browns are probably cutting Hooper, there is Ertz, there's guys like Gerald Everett and Mo Alie-Cox and possibly guys like Evan Engram, OJ Howard or Gesicki. Go sign one for half the price it'll take Schultz. But they're going to sign Dalton for 5 digits, which is incredibly reckless. Schultz is a nice TE, I'm not saying anything against him, but he's not an elite mismatch and we're going to overspend. smh. I wouldn't mind restructuring DLaw, but when he plays, he's still very good to elite RE. If we're going cut Amare, then go get someone in the draft or UFA, let Schultz go and save our money for DLaw and Gregory.
  7. Nice false choice. Show me where I stated that other markets sell out and get great ratings when they're bad although I'm sure there's a case to be made for some of the big market teams for having credible ratings. Regardless, just accept that your plight today is much different than 2018. You're a shitty team with a bunch of no names, you're a small market team with no real franchise history and shaky management. Presti and your boatload of picks is on the asset sheet..... just don't blow them because if you do, again like most small market teams, you're going to struggle and have to deal with relocation rumors especially with no history of ultimate success.
  8. Everyone regressed after a hot start..... especially Steph who went from MVP favorite to nowhere near the top 5. Klay has rust. Some of the bench guys aren't playing as well. If there's one positive, while Wiggins has regressed towards his career averages in overall metrics, he's continued to shoot the 3 over 40% which is legit. May have found his role as a supporting 3 and D guy.
  9. Yikes..... Remember that good pass rush from last year? Yea, it may be going up in smoke. Generally, you don't offer a guy a pay cut unless the other option is to be cut outright. So..... Amare going to be cut and DLaw. I'm going to guess the play is sign Gallup (who they're already engaged with) and Gregory (who has had two good half seasons). If we're doing this so we can give a fucking TE 13m and a replaceable safety like 8m, someone should just burn Jerry world to the ground. Light it up.
  10. Thank you for supporting my argument. See, even an unabashed fan of the franchise understands. When a franchise is good, almost any market can support a winner. Its the rebuild or wandering the desert years where a market sees if they can sustain needed attention. OKC is bottom 5 in overall attendance. They're bottom 5-6 in overall estimated valuations..... falling 5-6 spots since 2019. With a small international fandom now that KD is gone, OKC needs a transcendent star..... like most small market teams. Milwaukee has a huge international following right now and it's not because folks are obsessed with cheeseheads. OKC keeps falling in attendance and value until they can start winning again and they'll never break into the big boys until they can get a global brand star like KD. Good news is those guys come around every couple of decades. If they keep fumbling about, they'll be prime for relocation rumors for awhile. I'll say one place the Thunder are good at..... social media rankings. They're top 10 or some shit. Analysts are split on if this means anything to the bottom line though.
  11. Probably because it's undeserving of a pro sports market. I don't mean that from a political or social aspect but from a business one. It simply doesn't have the economical foundations to support a sports franchise through a pro-longed era of terribleness, especially as a transplant. Probably be better as a G-league site.
  12. Your opinion is abysmal. Keep drinking. Stop posting. Good Luck.
  13. We should, but he may have just priced himself out of our draft position...... Impressive showing from a such a big man.
  14. If we had that line the whole season, then it would be very good. Problem is Tyron only played 11 games and left early in 2 others. He basically played half a season. Connor's penalties got him benched for a kid who wasn't as good. La'el missed 4 games and was a backup for 2. That's a pretty misleading ranking. Also, as we talked all season, our TE and WR blocking sucked. The OL isn't dog shit at all, but it's also not that dominant group we saw several years ago. Tyron has missed 20 games in the last 2 seasons and left early in 3-4 others. Zack is still a rock but we had issues everywhere else at times. I think Collins is better than average bet to bounce back a little next year but we need another LT and interior lineman of starting caliber. If they are on the roster through development, or in FA, or the draft, then cool, but it's a group who is in decline. Then add Zeke ripped his knee after 5 games, Pollard was playing with a really painful injury the last quarter of the season and playoffs and our run game was is disarray headed to the playoffs.
  15. Not many here don't recognize that Lebron is a top 5 player of all-time. In many ways, he's the first Social Media Era Basketball Icon. A new world type of personality who's focus on brand distracts from his on court accomplishments. Additionally, the self-aggrandizing and lack of accountability are oft-putting to a lot of folks. As a basketball player (whining and flopping aside), he's sublime and the best pure talent since MJ.
  16. I mean at his size and without many games played at the HS level, he probably isn't "NBA ready". He probably belongs in the G league unless he hits a growth spurt and/or his game improves. He may need both. Lebron's entitlement is so fucking pronounced. That's why I think in 3 years, if Lebron wants to play with Bronny, then maybe Minnesota or Sacramento or Orlando will have them. Just be a side show circus. Now if Bronny can contribute and earns his way onto a team and into a rotation, then good for him.... but how's he ever gonna know? This ain't the Griffey's. Here Lebron, want to play with Bronny...... bundle up, here's your team.
  17. I think they could play themselves into the play-in, but doubt they get much farther. Yo.... young dudes. Settle. Or we'll bring this guy back.
  18. Ha. Doesn't have to play 60 though and on a minimum, it's an easy add....... Phoenix should have looked to snap him up to help with the Chris Paul injury.
  19. Timmah looking like he's ready for that reggae band stint.... #Patty4life....... Take that Kerm. Patty will always be a Spur.
  20. Like top 75 NBA player of all-time?
  21. Woman was all excited to see this after reading the article on Anna. Making me watch this disaster. It's sort of one of those, everyone is horrible so you don't really care who she hurts or doesn't. It's all the worst part of America's class system and making a movie about an imposter who lies, cheats, and steals to galavant around with these vapid people is even more silly. Garner does a good job in inhabiting the role, but it's all about bad people behaving badly in the most boring of ways.... Even the woman admits it's not that great but she's pot committed.
  22. Probably a HAS. 4-6 weeks normally. For AD? Probably be back next Thanksgiving.
