  1. Binary thinkers aren't generally good assessors of value. Probably tell your wife to shut the fuck up.
  2. Yes. Some of us have been complaining about this for 4-5 years and this is what was advocated. This isn't the fucking 90's. You never draft a RB in the top 10 anymore. Frankly, RBs don't matter (don't take it literally, but in terms of draft capital). Not one leading rusher from the Final Four was taken in the first round. Only truly stupid teams draft a RB in the top half of the first round and really in the top 40 picks. Dak isn't the most accurate QB in the league but he's far from what you imply. Dak actually was top 10 for least amount in bad throw %s in the league last year and as many have stated, he struggled a little bit after the calf injury. We could do better than Dak (anyone trading Mahomes after he had one of the worst halves in playoff football in the last decade (still would) or Josh Allen?), but we could do much, much worse -- see every team in our division. Better fit? For what? A year? Ramsey has been an elite corner since he stepped in the league. It was a horrendous pick. I think what defenders should say is that Zeke used to be an elite RB, but that's the point, only a few say elite more than 5 years and you can get those generally in later rounds. Drafting Zeke was evidence the Cowboys still were a decade behind the league and hadn't figured out modern pro football. The issue is Jerrah actually becomes a coward about things. We had overdrafted Mo Claiborne a few years earlier in the top 5 and he was scared to draft a CB again in the same basic spot. Agreed about Marinelli. He was horrible in draft analysis. Not only Taco by Trysten Hill too....
  3. So...... they finally figured out the whole Darlene thing, which was the stupidest arc of the show and made no sense why she wasn't just killed back in season 2. Glad Wyatt gotten taken down too, what a pathetic schmuck. But now, I love that the leader of a Mexican Drug Cartel is roaming around the Ozarks killing people of his own hand. No henchmen? No sicarios? Talk about unrealistic. Exchange one ridiculous lark for another.
  4. Mobley has to continue to develop into a superstar, otherwise they'll need an A piece. But yea, they've done an excellent job with Mobley, Garland, and Allen. Kevin Love is actually their 2nd best player per minute so no...... he's not a waste of money this year, just an overpaid one. They'll need another piece which will probably be dictated by how high Mobley can push his ceiling. Exciting 2 way player. Sexton may end up kicking around the league now..... he's sort of regressed/been exposed. Yup. He's quietly put together a really good season in limited minutes. 22.5 PER, .220 WS/48, 2.0 VORP and TS of 61.9%. Those are fucking stud numbers off the bench. I'd imagine Houston would just love to dump his contract. His 44% from 3 is probably pyrite and he's pretty limited otherwise although has that veteran guile. His contract may be valuable next year though as 23-24' isn't guaranteed so it could be used to get a better player with picks next year. His contract may be worth more than the player, but not a ton.
  5. Or how about a conference title at least. They haven’t even gotten to the game in over 25 years. That’s an astounding period of an ineptitude traced all back to one family and one man….
  6. 1. Because if conversations in any type of story telling, but especially in fiction didn't give the reader/listener/watcher some type of insight, whether into plot, character, or timing, then it would be a worthless conversation. So, you want to watch a bunch of worthless conversations because of your interpretation of realism? I guess and I'm not saying you're necessarily wrong in regard to this specific show, but that would be some boring shit. 2. Spoiler -- if you haven't watched by now, then don't read. Because Claire Shaw (isn't that a terrible name) only has a temporary fix from Marty and still needs the Mexican product to continue offsetting expenditures to help her books. It does her no good to piss off an obviously very volatile personality in Javi so she gives him some information but not all of it. She can't risk permanent shutdown. She gives him enough to stay trustworthy enough but still gives the Byrds an opportunity to create or tweak a narrative they'll need to keep Javi supplying. And lastly, she's a little intimated by Javi and that was hinted at in the scene where she tells Wendy about meeting him in the garage.
  7. Welp, Daboll decided to take the Giants job instead so maybe Moore is a serious candidate there. I'd still guess he gets passed on. I'm not as high on Daboll as some others but he has helped Allen really harness his talents and become a more technically sound QB. Can he do the same with Jones? I have some doubts.
  8. Think that's Brian DaBoll's job to lose. I think both coordinator's are back, but we should can Philbin's ass...... he sucks.
  9. Wiggins on an All-Star team is silly....
  10. Ding, ding, ding. The last young innovative coach Jerrah became infatuated with was The Clapper. Moore is here because of Linehan and Scott’s advocacy for him as a backup QB and then QB coach after Wade Wilson retired, probably to seek revenge for torture.
  11. Both coached HOF QBs, had good front office help, and have pretty interesting playoff records. Payton has 1 non-home win in the playoffs and lost quite a bit at home after a 5-0 start to his career. I think Payton is an improvement over Fat boy, but that's because McCarthy is that bad, not that Payton is that good..... He's not bad, but feels like it would pretty much be paint by numbers and typically do what he does, win a playoff game 2 out of 3 years with an away loss in the conference or divisional rounds. That's better than a first round exit.
  12. He still has a lot of learning to do IMO, especially in how to manufacture more offense without deep drops. I would like them to upgrade on Philbin, who I think was shitty and proven to be mediocre at best throughout his career.
  13. Yes. Pivoting to another dirty player...... COVID is nice because it exposes the uneducated, the ignorant, and the truly insane....
  14. Sean Payton would most likely require personnel or final roster control if he goes somewhere else, he won't get that as long as Jerrah is alive.
  15. Holy shit..... 2028. LOL! Whatever. Ha. Forbes is gone where he'll probably hit 100 more 3 pointers playing off of Joker and Primo can get some minutes and develop.
  16. Rumor is we're getting a 2nd rounder back as well, but it's just a rumor thus far. We take some money off the Celtics books this year but Juancho's salary next year is reportedly non-guaranteed. If we get the 2nd rounder, then okay. Never know, may hit on a rosterable or rotation play in time. If we just get the cost savings next year... meh.
  17. Fuck. He truly did have a magic voice for sports broadcasting. A legend. RIP.
  18. It's more like 900k. I'm going to guess you're looking at the overthecap.com and they for some reason have it wrong. He signed a 4 year deal, 3.6m dollar rookie deal. Those are pretty boiler plate contracts.
  19. He's a moron but he still has talent. And we don't have to rebuild the DL, but we definitely have to get more stout up the middle (we have for nearly a decade) and a mean sob, 1 tech would be extremely helpful as would another good LB who is nasty in the run game. LVE isn't consistent enough. OL needs a LT badly. I liked Slater last year and he's been great, but nobody is going to complain about he Parsons pick. I'd still look to taking a LT if the value is there in the first two rounds. Can get a cheap blocking TE in free agency probably.
