  1. Feels like Tolbert has hit a wall or plateau. Just hasn't been making many plays lately. I get it, it's Cooper, but even when he gets his chances. That was a first down. Has to be a catch.
  2. The rush was right in his face too, so he saw it..... he just panicked. It's probably time to sit Cooper and see how bad Trey is. Carolina's offense is so painful with these 4 yard rushes and then dinking and dunking down the field. Against a defense this bad, it can work, but it's a painful watch. Way to go, Marist! After doing nothing but making tackles 7 yards down the field for a dozen games, he's flashed the last couple of games. Looks like the game may be slowing down for him a little.... just needs to get stronger in the offseason.
  3. Every week I get up and watch and hope against hope this week will be the debacle which makes Jerrah choke on his tongue and die. Every week, I am profoundly disappointed...... but I hope. Because hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and we can't every lose it. Let's do this..... maybe it'll be the week Jerrah chokes on his tongue.
  4. Pretty much. Unless he takes a huge jump, he's really just a rotational run stuffer with little to no pass rushing skill. Block eater. Big guy so maybe some different coaching (Purdue was the worst team in the P4) and another year in the weight room and he can give us 30 good snaps a game, but he's not a game changer or anything. Like to have his teammate, the TE.
  5. A little context..... Finished the season strong..... and 2 years eligibility left. Addressing a huge hole. And was good against us..... Now, let's get some big boys to put in front of him and keep him clean.
  6. My Georgia friends (not tonight) always say..... If you have a QB who can run or at least extend plays well, it will give Georgia (and most defenses) fits..... But if they don't have to stay honest on the QB, then they typically can make you one-dimensional. While I don't necessarily agree with your summation, I do agree that it makes this version of Texas' offense with QE have very little margin for error..... Needed to play a clean game and played anything but. QB owns some of it..... but not the lion's share. I think the HC and OC has to wear a lot of this.
  7. Then maybe we shouldn't have committed so many drive killing penalties? I mean..... does the QB have to do everyfuckingthing? Why didn't the motherfucker stop the very detectable QB draw as well. Fucker!!!
  8. Wait.... the same Jennings who is 12-22 for 102 yards with a pick and lost fumble in the first half of a game they're getting assfucked?
  9. This is silly evaluation and assessment. Go home, goofy, you're drunk.
  10. I hope and do agree to a certain degree.... Arch's strengths and ceiling will help because of his legs and ability to throw deep..... But we will take a step back most likely on the OL, at TE, and perhaps at WR, at least early so the offense efficiency or effectiveness may be about the same although I think it will be much more fun to watch and we should be much more explosive.
  11. Auburn was 4-8 from beyond 40 yards this year. 0-1 beyond 50. He missed a 42 yarder and 51 yarder. Sort of on brand. Last year? 11 out of 16 from over 40 yards or about 69%. That's not great, so really he's an average college kicker. He's pretty accurate but with limited range. He just got to kick an inordinate amount of 20-39 yard FGs last year (19), which helped his conversion. Auburn hasn't changed much since he got the job. He's never been great because of his limited range. And this was definitely about coaching. Pre-snap penalties are about coaching. Now maybe it wasn't all about Sark's fault.... as it was the special teams coach or the OL coach (false starts), but Sark wears two hats -- HC and OC so double the flowers and double the criticisms.
  12. Quinn played well enough to win today. He is NOT the reason we lost. That typed, as I said last week, it's really hard to meet our obvious ceiling or potential with him under center. Now, the stew is already cooked for this year so have to hope he gets hot, but his inability to really move or run to the point he's no threat on ZR's and the fact he typically will compress the field to 25 yards from the LOS really limits the ceiling of the offense. Tonight, we got 2 plays or air yards more than 25 yards..... that a really good game for him. You can't lose that type of game. Let's hope he gets insanely hot especially on 3rd downs in the playoffs.... He wasn't perfect and he still takes bad sacks. But, he's not the reason we lost today and he was good enough to win. Too bad the coaching staff wasn't.
  13. We don't match up with them well? More like they've outcoached us twice. That simple. The first time, Ewers was a negative. This time, he played well enough to win and we still lost because of coaching. I still think we're capped with QE but he played well enough to win..... we lost because Kirby spanked Sark.
  14. 11 penalties for almost 100 yards. Lost the turnover battle.... again with 3 turnovers (1 didn't matter). We played uphill all first half because our great returner was either told or inexplicably brought it out of the EZ (only time) to open the game. Cost us field position and we struggled to get out of the hole for awhile. 31 rushing yards on 28 rushes Not ready for the fake punt. Incredibly poor play calling sequences once we got inside the 30 yard line particularly the last drive of regulation and 1 and 10 from the 12 in OT. The concept we ran were ludicrous and when we ran them make no sense. 2nd down play calling. The false start which cost us 3 points. The 6 yard sack Ewers took on 3rd down in his sight line on 3rd down which cost 3 more points Two things really kind of put a bow on the season. All of the pre-snap penalties. Again, 1 of them took 3 points off the board. And this..... Whether you think he was celebrating or pointing to the EZ (did Barron not know where it was), if you don't practice these situations and everyone on the defense practice and know exactly what to do. Get your head around, see who could catch him, get in front of them. He gets a block and this is a pick 6. We have a few plays like this every game, whereby situation and game awareness is really poor and when you play upper echelon teams, it tends to bit you in the ass. Please understand, we didn't lose because of this play, but you put enough of these together with all of things above..... it how you lose lose with superior talent. And make NO mistake, we have superior talent to Georgia. Kirby Smart and his staff just spanked Sark and our staff. I very much hope Sark really works on his blind spots during the offseason because I'm very pleased with where he has brought the program but there's a difference between the Kirby Smart's of the world and the Mack Brown's, and it's the details..... we don't do details well right now.
  15. Sort of. 2 picks vs Vandy. Sark blames it on tipped balls but those were batted balls in his face when there was little to no throwing lane and he needed to throw it in the dirt or adjust his arm angle. Kentucky with the fumble, although he shouldn't have been in there so that's on Sark. He's very inconsistent in hitting plays to sustain drives and because his deep ball is poor, he doesn't have the upside for long TD passes. Instead it's more dinking and dunking which necessitates very consistent playmaking. He throws a nice intermediate ball but for some reason we haven't schemed a ton of those except for the occasional crossing pattern to the TE. We had a few really nice digs or curls the last month including one to Golden today. Wish we could see more of those because it feels like that's why he's good at. Again, he's not a scrub at all, he's a good, solid QB, but we're talking about probably needing elite playmaking to get deep in the playoffs and doing it for 4 quarters generally. He hasn't played a complete game except for maybe Florida or some of the warm up games like UTSA or UL-M. A lot of very good first halves and very inconsistent or poor 2nd halves. We're all grateful to be 11-1 and going to the SEC Championship but it feels like the defense is championship level. The running game since Georgia is championship level. Our ST's...... eh, not really in the kicking game -- Bert is average and our punting sucks. Is the QB play? I don't know. Feels like we'll need a bit more consistency to get us where we want to be. I think he has it in him, but we need him to find it. Like tonight should have been 27 or 30-0.
  16. I don't doubt his heart or his guile. Dude plays hard and he's not a scrub, let's not hate on him. But, Texas is at the elite level of CFB and to win a playoff style tourney, you need your QB to play nails. He simply hasn't shown he can play 4 quarters in a game against an upper echelon opponent in forever. Even tonight..... the first half he was mostly good but it could have been very. tragic. He should have been picked in the RZ in the first quarter AND on the play to TE that went right through the safeties hands. Better teams take advantage of those and pick those..... now let's see what that final score would have been? He simply makes too many mistakes. Many good plays (although his deep ball is still ridiculously bad), but too many bad ones.
  17. Kid is all heart.....
  18. Texas has a Quinn Ewers problem. It's that simple. It sucks to have to write that, but he continues to make huge mistakes which turn points and momentum to the opponent. We know what the solution is..... but Sark will enable him and this team won't reach its potential.
  19. Hope for next year???? He had a great rush where he got a .5 sack that I saw. Rico's been balling for over a month. Do we still need help at the position? Yes. Do we still need to move on from Zeke? Absolutely. Do we need to draft a RB in round 1? I don't think so. With a couple of wins over some really shitty teams, could we find ourselves drafting in the teens? Yes and if Jeanty is the best talent on the board, then trade down and hope he's there in the 20's, but I think we should got a different way and get a guy in 3-5 rounds. I like what Luepke could give us and then sign a vet. Oh? I'll say, Micah was challenged by Zimmer to be a better leader and he's stepped up the last couple of weeks..... He was a monster tonight. I get it, it's against maybe the shittiest team in the league, but a win on Thanksgiving just feels right. Let's get another one on Saturday.
  20. Yea.... it's obvious it was too much for him in year 1 to be relied on so greatly. Moved position, he's young, and he has technique issues. He has talent, so they'll need to really develop him with the new coaching staff. My issue, is he makes a lot of pre-snap penalties... now so did Tyron, but he was elite everywhere else. I won't complain about beating Washington at anytime. The Commanders are better but still frauds. Cowboys under Jerrah can't even tank correctly.
  21. LOL. No thanks..... unless his masseuse is coming. The Cowboys are finally playing hard.... not well, but hard. JFC, Rush. That's easy pitch and catch and you throw a worm burner....
  22. BWHAHAHAHAHA....... Just fire Fassel now. His ST's suck.
  23. The defense is playing pretty well thus far (I'm sure I just cursed them), but they're doing a good job. The offense's and ST's inability to get points will be why the team loses, but at least Parsons and company are flying around thus far. Commanders not really playing all that well.
  24. It's frustrating to watch but the goal is not to win this year..... You want to see the young players progress but you shouldn't want the Cowboys to win. Maybe they can get in position to to draft Hunter. That's different. I feel your pain.
