  1. I'm at the point where I'd be highly surprised if anyone in the chat group is forced to resign with the odds-on favorite to resign being the Atlantic writer after their offices are threatened physically and they're threatened legally with the ABC treatment.
  2. Is there some rule in MAGAworld where they have to include about 3 words of Latin in every post? Not enough where they get into any serious noun declension or verb conjugation, lest they be considered a liberal bookfag. Instead it's just enough to excite the pseudo-intellectual incel portion of the base that likes to cosplay as Caesar Augustus.
  3. I also am a map nerd.
  4. Our cheapo is Campo Viejo Rioja Tempranillo at HEB, $8 right now.
  5. Fake, not enough prayer and eggplant emojis.
  6. I love Boulder but Ft Collins is missing that snooty atmosphere that many of the residents of Boulder have, not to mention the insane housing prices in Boulder.
  7. Buddy's wife went to CSU (teacher that moved up the education ranks quickly in CO) and she loved it.

  9. It can't be worse than Dr Pepper Zero Strawberries and Cream. We've had that 12 pack in the pantry for months. It reminds me of a really bad protein shake.
  10. Dirtbags of LBSU too! Fullerton was straight up nearing blueblood territory.
  11. Ignoring @safe sex's James recommendation a little longer. Reread Fahrenheit 451 in an afternoon because it had been about a decade. It really hits hard in the current political environment especaily if you replace TV with social media. Everyone knows that it wasn't really about book burning, but rather about the mindlessness of tv but I think the point of society choosing to be dystopian takes it to another level in 2025. The book itself was written so well in the first half, but you can Bradbury was better at short stories as it slowly loses steam as the plot thickens. I recommend going back to it if you haven't in decades. Last night I started and I got about halfway through it in a couple hours. I can already tell that I'm going to be reading a ton of his novels if they're as fun as his first book. Also continued my quest in rating all of the original 62 Goosebumps books. Last up was Say Cheese and Die! which always looked like a dumb premise to me, but it was decent. After 4 books we're at... 1.) Welcome to Dead House 2.) Say Cheese and Die! 3.) Stay Out of the Basement 4.) Monster Blood I have two more weeks of grad school left so hopefully this spring/summer will be a summer of reading for fun.
  12. To a lesser degree, I'd add Tulane to that list too.
  13. Owen Wolff was fantastic once again.
  14. 2nd in the West! Should've scored one or two more but also should've given up another. I'm ready for a fuller roster in St Louis.
  15. Odd game with the international break, but fun still. Win and you're in 2nd in the West after 5, but lose and you're in about 10th.
  16. I see about 50 people with suspicious VACP deposits for every 1 with SSI. I'm sure some of those VA ones are legit ones that aren't physically viewable, but there are plenty Trump lovers like my uncle that has been on 100% for years for "bad knees" that he somehow got in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War. He spends his time now golfing, fishing, and driving around complaining to local businesses about how their flags aren't being flown properly.
  17. Was the Trump hat/shirt/pant combo that gave it away? Or was it the fact that we had to move a 25-year-old girl to the back because they stare, drool, and generally creep people the fuck out.
  18. It's worse than assisted living. A good chunk of the people that still "need" to go to the bank everyday are older people getting SSA deposits. The vast majority of our in person transaction occur on the 1st, 3rd, 3rd Wednesday, and any other day where Social Security hits. A much larger % than you would imagine are living paycheck to paycheck on those deposits. We'd have the largest car lot in town, full of repos, if a cut or freeze lasted more than 2 months.
  19. I swear their mindset is exactly the same as pre-Grange, pre-populism farmers that would go around talking constantly about how they'd rather die than get a handout from the government. They have zero interest in thinking beyond their own fat white bodies.
  20. Fuck that, give me full integration back into the Empire and I'll support the red coats and then be forced into exile in London at the end of the war.
  21. Good job peeps.
