  1. To be technical, you can’t compare the raw number across seasons, because it’s a strength of schedule adjusted number. The proper metric would be the difference between national efficiency average and a team’s number...and by that method Tech last year is better. That might be splitting hairs a little, but people all over the Phog are making the same mistake. As of this morning, the Big 12 is 1,2,3 in KenPom’s DE.
  2. The game in Waco is a virtual coin flip, is a huge game, and obviously skews the numbers a ton...but I do think KenPom having KU a little higher rated than Baylor and Baylor's remaining schedule being harder explains the projected tie even though Baylor currently has the one game lead. I would still call it Baylor's to lose. They get KU at home in a game they'll be small favorites in...win that one and the path to even a tie for KU is tough.
  3. KenPom actually mashes the win probabilities together to give a statistical projection (rounded to the nearest game for better or worse...I wish he'd do it to tenths of a game). Looking those over, current numbers project like this... Baylor 27-3, 16-2 (5.4% chance of unbeaten conference record) Kansas 27-4, 16-2 West Virginia 23-8, 11-7 Texas Tech 20-11, 11-7 Oklahoma 19-2, 9-9 (this record and a Phillips 66 win, and they're in IMO) Texas 17-14, 7-11 (happy trails, Shaka) TCU 15-16, 6-12 Iowa St 13-18, 6-12 (KenPom does NOT adjust for injuries...so this is probably high) Oklahoma St 15-16, 5-13 K-State 11-20, 4-14 That sums to 91 wins when there can be only 90, such is rounding math. I would say 5 teams in the tournament is most likely, but that probably relies on OU needing to win games they should and springing at least one mild upset. Texas is the only other team that could still earn a bid...they're done with KU, Baylor, and Morgantown, but they need to get going right now.
  4. Honey Badger has 2 more years left on his deal, which gets him to 30. He’s probably affordable as long as he’s useful. Chris Jones is another matter, but probably independent of Mahomes as rumor is he’s after Aaron Donald money. I’d assume he’ll be a franchise and trade candidate.
  5. Is the Patrick Mahomes OVER rushing yards prop the worst beat in football betting history? It was in the 30-32 range, he got to 44, then lost 15 yards extending the kneel downs at the end to land on 29.
  6. Their main motivation is to fill the shakers as infrequently as possible, and it shows.
  7. I’d wear that.
  8. I don’t have an opinion on the game, yet....but if you like the Chiefs it might make more sense to just bet Mahomes to win the MVP.
  9. As long as I can hear less of her.
  10. His overt racism.
  11. I’ve been married 17 years...if it’s a decent game and there’s at least 12 minutes left Duke/Clemson probably gets my attention.
  12. Yeah, my main Trudy’s memory is getting blown in the maintenance closet of the Burnet location back in the day. That was a fun night.
  13. He’s looking at you, Serrano’s.
  14. I have no doubt Mahomes has attracted some bandwagoners...but the Chiefs have always had a big following here, with lots of expats and some casual followers during the Jamaal Charles/Derrick Johnson teams. They (we) have been overrunning watchsites from Bikinis to Third Base for years...and that’s with lots of shitty teams.
  15. Run better, IMO.
  16. If this game was on regular television, KU would be in deep shit with the FCC.
  17. I’ve beat off in a lot of hotel rooms, but I’ve never came on the remote’s tits. Am I doing it wrong?

We’ve had various kids try them on the team I coach in Austin (USSSA, 2 3/4”, -10), never saw much difference and none have stayed with it. We ended the fall season over half Cat 8/Posey.
  19. This is a different Baylor team, they’re playing man and are stingy in defense. KenPom currently says 10. They’re good.
  20. Self doesn’t do it, either. He’s sharp enough to have an answer when he doesn’t that usually involves time left and rambles about it...but he never actually commits the foul. Has lost a handful of games because of it.
  21. I’ve found the basket both better for hot/fast cooking and for getting the amount of lump right for longer cooks. I did a pork butt on New Year’s (11 hours) and got the fuel almost perfect...added just a couple of pieces while I wrapped it to make sure it made it.
  22. While Cozymel's concept is weird and chain Tex Mex is hard to pull off in Austin, nothing was ever successful in that location. And fucking TGI Friday's had a booming run literally next door. Weird spot.
