  1. Not to derail the thread over sleep quality, but I've started doing almost all of this about 10 years ago, right around the time I turned 40, except I don't wear a sleep mask and I cut caffeine by 10am. I found that even 1-2 drinks started affecting the quality of my sleep, and as I got older, low sleep quality had a greater effect on my overall well-being during my work day. I'll even be at a professional event on a weeknight where almost everyone around me is having a drink, and I just stick to water. I'm not perfect and I cheat here and there, but I think the combination of exercise, a good diet, and sleep quality has helped me age as gracefully as I can. I preach this often to people of all ages.
  2. It's all relative. 129/255 (50.6%) for 1,239 yard, 6 TDs and 13 pics was pretty damn good for 2001 Baylor standards.
  3. I hope that our home crowd will remain relatively sober and well-behaved, provide helpful directions to our Georgia visitors, and even inspire some of them to have their kids consider attending the University of Texas.
  4. I've narrowed Graham Harmon down to @Bill Lumbergh and @closetojumping.
  5. I'm sorry for posting about my daughter going to Oregon, and I'll try to post less about my daughter going to Oregon. Did I tell you my daughter's at Oregon? And no pics, so I'll GTFO.
  6. I can leave any hatred for Gabriel behind, because he's doing pretty well after leaving OU in the lurch now that Arnold has showed his suck, and he's now at Oregon where my daughter just started college. Lebby, on the other hand, always has my blessing to die in a grease fire.
  7. I have as well, similar to yours. But the side effects for my third and last shot (which was in early 2022), were significantly better.
  8. I don't like reading this shit one bit. I'm not conceding Michigan, but it sure would be nice for Harris to win NC to offset any Muslim voter stupidity in Michigan.
  9. Getting the Moderna booster + flu shot on Friday morning. Other than a relatively brief 24-hour-ish illness that was food poisoning or some stomach virus, I haven't really been sick for the past couple of years. But I feel like I'm tempting fate, especially with the numbers of the past few months. If I get any side effects, they should be cleared out by the OU game.
  10. Mack Brown and Garrett Gilbert are on line 2.
  11. Looks like I may be skipping this one. The Surly collective usually shares my movie opinions, and I should have listened to the reviews of the Joker sequel. I'm too busy to waste 2 hours in front of a screen these days (except if that's reading Surly).
  12. I have a deep amount of sympathy for the Palestinians in Gaza, but holy shit I've been reading similar viewpoints from Muslims in Michigan over the past few months, and I can't believe how short-sighted/stupid a lot of them are in believing that Trump will be better for their people, in the Israel/Palestinian war and overall, than Harris.
  13. I agree. I think it would take the Longhorns running the table and Ewers playing balls out for him to get an invite to NYC. I'm sure someone will find an example, but I can't think if a QB who won the Heisman in the last 20 years or so who didn't play in two games. Sucks for Quinn, but them's the breaks.

How soon they forget the shitpile that Fisher left that program.
  15. If Arnold takes a redshirt -- i.e., doesn't play for the rest of the season -- seems like the natural result is a transfer.
  16. Graham Harmon will remember if we win by only 3.
  17. That was my fault, guys. I was rushing from my son's cross country meet so was not able to watch the first quarter when OU got a pick that should have been an easy TD to Sanders. I won't let that happen on Saturday.
  18. Where the fuck have you been? The season officially started on August 31.
