  1. Fa-ra-ra-ra-ra, ra-ra-ra-ra!
  2. Yes, usually white men. Though I'm sure someone would point to a not insignificant amount of African American gang violence. So I don't mind broadly speaking of all men and our gender's significant shortcoming when it comes to violence.
  3. What the hell are you worried about? This is 1874. You'll be able to sue her.
  4. Indeed they are the worst. I hadn't followed the story much yesterday, and only this morning listening to NPR on my drive to work did I learn the shooter was a girl, which struck me because it's so rare. You can accuse me of painting with a large brush, but the overwhelming majority of our country's school and other mass shootings, as well as other murders and serial killers, have been men. I'm not trying to unduly flog my own male gender, but the newsworthy aspect of this particular mass shooting that the shooter was a girl merits discussion. Goddammit men, when are we going to get our shit together?!?!
  5. It's only a matter of time. The stupidest guy in my fraternity became an architect, after he flunked out of dental school.
  6. She was on my laminated card for years. She definitely showed some aging in White Lotus, but I still would.
  7. I understand why @closetojumping created a new thread to talk about the actual game.
  8. don't care; still fapped
  9. We've been giving Ned an over-the-counter probiotic (image below) since we've adopted him. His foster mom is big on probiotics and dog gut health. I think the meds the vet prescribed might be along the lines of canine Imodium AD, just to treat the symptoms for a week or so while his gut adjusts and he gets more comfortable in his new home.
  10. My daughter’s on-campus dorm at Oregon closed for the break.
  11. But bacon and eggs are so expensive!!!!
  12. I feel like I should have heard of an Ohio State QB named Air Noland before today.
  13. Do many current shows still use a laugh track (or a live studio audience)? I don't recall Parks and Rec and The Office doing so. Others I've recently seen like Ted Lasso and Shrinking do not.
  14. And even more impressive when you look back on where this defense was last season. I for one did not expect that level of improvement.
  15. Nah, bruh. Sark be like this:
  16. You ask that question as if you're new to this message board.
  17. So will the week after we win the national championship.
  18. I've remarked to myself how much I've fallen in love with my Ned in such a short amount of time. Hoping for many joyous years ahead.
  19. They indeed were, but I'd still take Daddario and Sweeney over those two. However, if I recall correctly at least one of the hookers showed some nudity, whereas I recall Daddario and Sweeney did not.
  20. It could have been worse.
  21. If he can win 8 games without those two, and if Norvell can't get his shit together at Florida State, I can see FSU making a run at Deion.
  22. Thanks. We gave him a lot of rice the vet put him on a 5-day supply of bland canned food. We may mix some in.
  23. Sorry to hear the news. I can count on one hand the number of times I saw my dad cry as a child. One of them was when we put down our dog when I was in the 8th grade. My mom and I took him to the vet in the morning while my dad was at work. When he got home later that day, this hulking 6'4" Marine colonel dressed in his utilities came into my room, closed the door, grabbed me for a hug, and sobbed for about 30 seconds before composing himself and going to hang out with a fellow Marine who came home with him for after work beer. I have a lot of childhood moments that are the victim of an aging memory, but I still remember that one vividly. Thanks, man. I've read pumpkin is good. I'll pick some up.
  24. Our 11-month-old hound/husky mix (he might actually be a shepherd/husky mix) is getting over some rather explosive diarrhea, which started toward the end of his second week at our home. His stool samples came back negative, so it's not a parasite. We think it might just be some nerves adjusting to a new home, since he's had a rough go in his early life going from street capture to foster care to us, and the vet said that might be the case. He's finishing up some medication and a bland diet, which is helping a lot, but his crap is still on the softer side, though no longer a puddle of brown liquid. We had given him some rotisserie chicken and some of the skin from that as a treat, but cut that out in case the fat was upsetting his stomach. We're worried about what might be on the other side when he's done with the medication and he's back on kibble. Any thoughts from the Surly dog family?
