  1. Yeah, that's another discussion. We didn't know this at the time when we were pumped about his HCIW designation, but he's turned out to be more of a Charlie Strong/maybe a coordinator kind of coach. I'm not sure if he stuck it out at Texas a couple more years and then took over for Mack we and Will would be in any different places.
  2. Would they have to adjust the top whatever % for auto admits? A lot of assumptions and no metrics, but I wonder if the top % admissions rule has accepted a significant amount of kids from smaller, more rural, and poorer communities.
  3. Need Moore healthy for aggy.
  4. I have dreams that Baylor will reoccupy that spot it once had for so long. But unfortunately, the alumni base woke up one day and said, "Hey, we got money! Let's spend it on football!!!" Their rapey coach who pulled them out of the cellar is gone, but the money still flows enough to keep them from those dark Big XII days, I think.
  5. I have it on good information that Graham Harmon is her son.
  6. Should we pay Mack Brown a "consulting fee" to lobby for Texas to make the playoffs at halftime of the SEC championship game, just to be safe?
  7. Mack was reportedly going to step down after the 2009 title game and turn it over to Muschamp, but he decided to stay after the loss to Alabama, and then after a shitty 5-7 season, he didn't want to leave on a losing note, Will had no idea when he might ever take his place, and Florida offered him the head coaching job. Not sure how else Muschamp should've played it.
  8. I love that so much.
  9. I laughed. I cried.
  10. Um, have you seen how Mack handles the Will Muschamp plan?
  11. Funny, because my wife (51) and me (almost 50) had dinner at Chez Zee earlier this week for the first time in several years, and we felt like babies compared to the other customers. I had a salmon entree that was very good.
  12. SOCIALISM!!!
  13. Here's a decent one.
  14. I'm in for 10,000 in Dogecoin.
  15. Thanks, guys. I know it's her birthday and special weekend, but really I'm just trying to optimize my chances of getting laid, so appreciate the recommendations.
  16. Maybe I have a recency bias because of our frustrations with Quinn as of late, but I'm making a distinction between a better overall passer (Sam) and a better arm (Quinn). Yeah, when Quinn is "on," he makes some throws we never saw from Sam. But I think when comparing their college careers at this point, Sam proved to be a more reliable passer than Quinn has. And whether you disagree with my better overall passer assessment, the sum of my opinion was that Sam is our best QB since Colt, responding to TreatyOak's specific statement, which includes passing, pocket presence, leadership, durability, running ability, etc.
  17. I like Quinn, and don't doubt your impressions of him as a person. And having met you in person, you're in damn good shape for 65, and am actually surprised at that age. But, I think Sam Ehlinger has been our best QB since Colt. Yes, Quinn has him on a conference title. But Quinn has better talent and coaching around him than Sam ever had, by a mile. And I think Sam is a better overall passer, more of a dual threat with a much better pocket presence, and showed a bit more fire and mental toughness than Quinn. I'm not bashing Quinn at all. I'm rooting my ass for him these next two games (and hopefully beyond this season). Just responding to your first assertion.
  18. I figured, but thought I'd ask, since I didn't want to assume anything about The Pearl on the chance it was Domain-ish. Will book at Hotel Emma. What's good to eat around there?
  19. It's 1,589 pages, Smart Guy!
  20. Would be nice if for one Saturday this season Auburn was not a complete piece of shit.
  21. Yeah, COVID is still around, but it hasn't been a big deal for quite a while, so why do you think something changes in January that will cause more cops on the roads to write tickets? I still hear how APD is understaffed, so I don't think an increase in cops is what will change the level of traffic patrol.
  22. Side note: I lived in Raleigh for two years, and grew up half of my childhood on the NC coast. Was in Wake Forest for the first time ever in 2015 for a client trip, and really loved the town. Seems like it could be in consideration for the retirement destination list, but by that time it's probably going to be too crowded.
  23. I'm in San Antonio a lot for work, but not R&R. I'm thinking about taking my wife to San Antonio for a weekend in January to celebrate her birthday. Where's the best place to camp out for a couple days, with restaurants and bars in walking distance? The Pearl? Downtown? La Cantera? Sorry if this topic is covered earlier in the thread, but too lazy to scroll through the last 50 pages.
  24. Sorry to miss the last home tailgate, but . . . .
