  1. I bet you're fun at parties. Spelling is your thing, b/c it sure isn't grammar. I mean come on man, if you're going to throw shade, get your own house in order. Fair enough?
  2. There is a good except in Patton's book about Stahlin and Christmas. The Russians as we know have had a long history on again off again Christmas celebrations. Fo many year is was banned. In the chapter the author talks about Stahlin's daughter visiting the Brittish embassy during Christmas. She comes back all giddy and happy about the Holiday. At that time the Russians were forced to celebrate the birth of Jesus in a clandestine manner. Stahlin was pissed about how happy his daughter was acting. Long and short of it, Stahlin essentially invents a Russian version of Christmas sans the story of Jesus. Later in the book we find out the daughter falls in love with a Russian soldier; Stahlin being the sadist he was, has the fella shipped to the front and certain death. Yep you guessed it, he as of Ukranian decent. Patton was 100% correct about the Russians.
  3. Probably more likely what wasn't said. Perhaps no act of contrition and more hiding behind "my GF is a loon"
  4. The first sentence of your post is in direct contrast to the body of your post. Maybe why sarcasm meter is off
  5. There was Dateline on last night. Perp broke in, kidnapping and sexual assualt. Eventually caught. Guilty on federal charges, 40 years. But State (CA) charges pending, as he was deemed not fit for trial due to Bipolar disorder. Hes in a State hospital until he is fit for trial on State charges. Might we see that type defense?
  6. Only thing i can think of would be Dylan didnt have her cell phone on her. Maybe being charged in another room or it was not on her person. Rare these days I know for the youngsters. My wife often does not have her cell phone on her at bedtime. So she freaked out, hides and waits. Maybe she didnt see him actually leave. Just spitballing.
  7. Yeah, i guess with DNA and murder weapon sheath, maybe they were trying to keep that information private. But he would know he was made, so that information, while not public, he would have known they had an ID.
  8. Why LE didnt put out a sketch is bizarre, based on Dylan's eyewitness of the perp.
  9. From affidavit: Knife sheath left at scene, the snap on the sheath contained his DNA. Cell phone pings many times from the area (explainable, but damning). This guy was no braniac.
  10. Yeah I agree, i posted up-thread that I have a lot of family in Sandpoint (retirees from Los Angeles). Sandpoint is fine in the downtown....the Lake and Ski resort area are what you would expect, but get over near Clark, MT and the surrounding areas and its very remote. We played Hidden Lakes back when it was a muni with a trailer for a clubhouse. My buddy owns Idaho Pour Authority (great name for bar) in downtown SP and my cousin is a local musician. I look forward to my annual trip up there. Suprisingly, Delta now flies non-stop ATL to GEG, so that's been a big change as far as traveling up there from the Southeast.
  11. Got it, i see now he has the public defender, she moved pretty quick.
  12. I dont know about that yet. I could be wrong, but i dont think he has an ID attorney yet. His parents said they dont have a lot of money. His PA attorney was solely to represent him in the extradition part of the case and did not discuss the case with him.
  13. Been a lot of shit flying around; one the surviving roommates I believe (Dylan) is trans. Id have to find the picture of all the roommates, and there is video too, but the person really looks like a dude, dressing as a chick. To each his, err her, own... perhaps that is the reason for the male/female roommate discrepancy.
  14. That Kraken video is some serious Band of Brothers shit. I do not mean to trivialize war or make it seem its for my viewing pleasure. With that said, God Bless those UKR soldiers; that is some intense stuff we are seeing. Couldn't imagine myself having to do that to save my Country, I mean i would in a second, but in the year 2022, to see close contact combat almost in real time is something else. My goodness. We are so blessed to live in the USA; no CR intended. I know that blessing should not be taken for granted and we are far from perfect here, but man what those guys are going through, sheesh.
  15. Yeah her salon is getting crushed on the BookFace reviews. BAHAHABAHAAA
  16. wonder if she can fit me in for a cut, shes kind of hot in a Highland Village-Lewisville kind of way.
  17. Underrated note from last night was the loss of Karic. Helm was his replacement and gave up a 1st half sack and then had a crucial false start. IIRC we settled for a FG on that drive, need to check that. Karic is not Leonard Davis, but was solid as extra blocking TE.
  18. Have to disagree here. High profile case; Law enforcement in Moscow has been criticized for lack of information, including from the victim's families. This press conference was standard operating procedure and was done by the book. I have no problem stating the facts and getting on down the road. More will come out per the court records. What did you expect them to say? Look at the OJ case, the defense 100% used the fact that the police were prejudiced vs OJ from the get go. You got to play it close to the vest and let the public know they have arrested someone if for no other reason to allay any ongoing fears. Plus this suspect appears to be well versed in how this shit works, give he has a PHD in CJ.
  19. Wont take long for the sleuths to track the tag and make her famous. What's up with the Dallas mall milfs? 2nd time in 6 mos we've been treated to some real bs.
  20. You should check that, off the top of my head, Texas Mack had wins over LSU, tOSU, Miss St, UW, Oregon St, Iowa, Wassu, ASU, Michigan, USC...the only losses being Oregon 2x, ARK (i believe in Cotton bowl but could be wrong) and Bama Edit, as i re-read your post, you may be referring to just Oregon, which would make a lot more sense. Overall Texas Mack was pretty good in bowls, mainly b/c we shit the bed late in the season and should have been in major bowls in lieu of what we got.
  21. I dont get the check bag deal. The only time we check a bag is for a week long ski trip. I have 3 teen girls plus wife. Teach them to pack correctly and if needed a standard roller and large duffle. Put the purse in the bag and take out before putting in overhead. I can go anywhere for a week with a roller bag and a backpack. NEVER EVER check a bag, that is the most amateur thing a traveler can do, completely blows my mind that people will check a bag for a long weekend. All carriers allow for 2 carry-ons. The standard carry plus a large duffle is to go-to. Most times for a long weekend pack back pack and jam it under the seat in front, then once airborne, put it under your calves and rotate as needed back underneath, save all the pain of a cancel or need to go standby.
  22. I remember rpongett being a solid contributor from Hornfans days, as was hpslugga. billinsinton too, havent seen his name in a long time.
  23. I think we can all agree this war has been an absolute catastrophe for UKR and Russia. The indiscriminate bombing, rape, torture etc.. A pyrrhic victory is defined as: A very costly victory, wherein the considerable losses outweigh the gain, so as to render the struggle not worth the cost. I don't know that I find much joy in writing this, but the amount of knowledge we have gained regarding the paradigm shift in tactics as it relates to drone warfare is incredible. RU is proving to be a much less formidable foe than any of us could have dreamed. I know the nuke deterrent is overwhelming and none of us want that, it should be avoided at all costs. I find it fascinating how much more advanced the west/NATO is compared to Putin's capabilities. There is no victory in that fact, but I have to believe this is a sea changing moment in history vis a vis how we deal with RU going forward. As long as he has the nukes, nothing will be settled, but it has to give him some pause as to just how vulnerable his grab on power is at this moment.
  24. With regards to the Engels-2 mission. RU was forced to move those bomber appx 4,000 miles (and 3 time zones east). This will make them a lot easier to pick up on radar and force RU to use a lot more fuel. I wonder if the talk of negotiations that has escalated the last week is a result of the RU now realizing the terror campaign of launching missiles from those bombers, formerly warehoused at Engels-2, just became next level more difficult? Good on the Ukes, no doubted aided by our intel/assets, for pulling that off. IIRC this is the 2x they have been able to get to that site.
