  1. Section S row 49, my nuts were splitting the 50. The stadium amenities were a joke, very few consessions. Missed 2nd half KO waiting for beer, of which you could only get 2 at a time , so we had to pair up for every round (4 in our party). Had to go back in Q3 for the pisser, not the end of world. Entrance into stadium was a breeze. Got a pre game picture with The Rocket at the Marriott next to stadium. Exited behind the Texas Visitors side and the route took us through the outfield of the baseball field which was cool. Walked all the way back to barstools for bar food and to meet up with our ladies. Nashville is a great city and I’ll go to every football game we play there. if I was in my 20’s and out of college , I’d live there in a minute. Feels like a cleaner, newer Austin. Broadway was a major tourist trap but all the bars were packed, 3-4 stories each and seemed fine for what they are. There is very little “country music “ played on Broadway, nor any “2 -steppin” establishments. It’s all rock and roll, dj, club feel. Closest thing we could find to a traditional county bar was tootsies and it was tiny (in the front room), maybe we missed them , but we hit up 5-8 bars over the weekend hoping to do a little dancin’ 34th floor of JW was great. Went to a cool hotel rooftop bar, LA Jackson, in the Gulch before dinner at Barcelona. Hampton Social for brunch pre-game. Walked from there to stadium , where we saw Rodger and one of his boys drinking beers. overall great trip.
  2. 30 miles south of Nashville, had business in muscle Shoals yesterday. Looking forward to my first trip to Nashville. if anybody’s at the JW Marriott, holla. . We have about 10 or 12 Exes in our group.
  3. My brother is DFD Chief. I had not heard about this one. 3 alarm is no joke.
  4. He is also being held on felony gun charge, according to the article linked above: Brad Simpson remains in the Bexar County jail on two misdemeanor charges – a domestic violence charge and an unlawful restraint charge. Court records also show he faces a federal felony charge for illegally owning a firearm.
  5. Understood, but her tireless work and dogged determination on the case is widely recognized as having helped identify the killer. Her team finalized it as I recall.
  6. Without a doubt. I read a book recently called Ill Be Gone In The Dark written by Patton Oswalt's wife (name escapes me) about the original GSK; went decades before she solved the case(s). Random killings collar rate is very low.
  7. Got my flu shot last Thursday, felt sluggish Friday, but all good. I get a flu shot every year and i may have doubled up during the Covid years dont really remember.
  8. I watched the YouTube video up thread about not talking to the police. If my wife disappeared and I didnt do it, then Im at least giving them a timeline of what and where Ive been (with supporting facts, receipts, who i was with etc..). Despite the usual line of questions like " how was your marriage" (well duh its great but we've been married for 25 years and its not perfect), I feel pretty certain my alibi and the facts wont hurt me. I could be naive , but if you are innocent, the facts are the easiest thing to remember. Where were you , who were you with, that's cake to answer. I always have the right to remain silent if they start leading down a path of trying to put words in my mouth. The initial act of cooperation and the obvious signs of concern I believe will be seen as being in my favor. JMO. Now, if you didnt kill her AND you have a suspect character, background, were doing nefarious shit, then yeah lawyer up...but guys like Scott Peterson, the cop from IL years back that killed 2 wives, and any of a dozen Dateline husbands should have heeded the dont talk advice.
  9. As far as i know , yeah he seems to have come out the other end aok. Owns a gym and takes people on hikes all over the country, kind of became a Zen master or some such. Coincidentally to the OP, believe he is in San Antonio. With a felony on his record, im sure his financial capabilities and other limitations that come with that will be somewhat limited, but at least he is a contributing member of society. He would be appx 50 by now and not sure how long he did time for.
  10. ZBT had one too, circa '92...guy robbed a bank on the Drag. Big article in The Texas Monthly about it not long after the conviction. He's out now and doing OK.
  11. That’s a good question, I don’t think so. I need to find out , but it’s her deal so I pick my spots on the advice side. When she switched to ABNB from Furnished Finders, she got a nurse/tenant almost immediately who emailed asking how long could she have it and what discount she could get for 90 days. Interestingly she forgot to add the cleaning fee, as she was new to that site. Anyway , I don’t think she really had time to tinker with the settings b/c she’s got people booked for the next 5 mos. And yes the collaboration has been so good for them.
  12. agreed. we thought the same thing, tough watch.
  13. I was in the car for this play and Craig Way's call is outstanding. If you can find it, worth a listen. The range of emotion goes from standard to excitemement to fear and ultimately elation.
  14. Had to look her up b/c...you know...surly... i present you one Tiffany Dee (TD) Hall...nee Doering
  15. This is the way. You and I may have traded posts on this. Wife bought a 3-1 with the idea of fixing it up and flipping. $160K cash in it after new roof, paint, bathroom remodel. Then she found it was sitting in a medical overlay district. She did a 180 and decided to rent it to nurses. Furnished Finder (sp) was recommender to her from a colleague who was doing the same thing, with great success...but Furnished Finders was a dog for her and it sat for 60 days. Pivoted to AirBNB and she's booked until next May 1st at $2,450 per mo. Had to turn one nurse away who wanted it for the year at $2k. Might should have taken that, but she didnt want to cancel the bookings. Rough math 5-5.5 years until the initial investment is made whole give or take. The non-monetary value was her mom got to help her with a lot of the staging, furniture acquisition etc..and her dad is the super on the deal, so its keeping them engaged at their advanced age, which is nice.
  16. Watching Monsters, the Menendez short series. The acting by the 2 guys playing the brothers is very good. In one episode where one of the brothers is meeting with his lawyer, I dont recall an edit or camera angle change and he speaks for 30 minutes telling his side of the abuse (or at least a fabrication of). I may have missed it, and I know they can do some cool stuff with camera editing, but man its damn near an isolated shot and does a hell of a job acting.
  17. I can see that. Going back to folding boxes again (iirc it's been a part of 3 scenes) may be analogous to how the staff "didnt get it" wrt to the standards.
  18. yeah all of that AND...Dale is a Husker and Barry a Sooner, that had to be a part of it. I watched Dale back in those days....he always came across smug and passive aggressive. Barry thought the local media should lay down and kiss the ring and Jerry still lives with a part of that sentiment.

    A Jew

So a Goy and a Jew enter a bar....well actually it was one guy enters a bar...
  20. My experience also is to not wait until you are at the gate as the internet connection (data or wifi) can interfere with downloading. Ran into that at an Auburn a few years ago.

    QUINTREVION

I see what you did there, clever!
  22. Preface all of this with I dont know shit. My gut tells me we wont see any 12 this week. It packs the box allows their speed LB's to cover the flat plus it brings the DT's tighter. I think we roll out the Michigan game plan and spread them out all over the field. IMO QE plays best when the short passing game is used early and often. Rythm, flow, down and distance etc.. is where he excels. Duh, could say that about anyone I suppose. Sark will try and get UGA in to Dime all game long and take a LB off the field.

    QUINTREVION

Not his best game for sure and Im here for all of it. Strangely I wish he was a horn. Wasn't he a late OU flip?
