  1. Butch jones too. Applewhite i think was an analyst as well.
  2. Guess "We aren't Texas" anymore and I for one am damn glad about it. Lets get in the game and let the W's speak for us. No more talking about being the best. Just go do it. We dont have to carry a 2x4 around and pretend we are elite. Wreck shop like Bama and the rest will take carry of itself. The baseball team doesnt dogpile until Omaha . The football team should take note. No more "We're Texas" and no more "Texas is back" .
  3. Some combo of HP Slugga, rpongett , billinsinton and/or longhorn Matt. Miss anyone ?
  4. One thing you have to take into account; as a general rule, away traveling fans are not the norm. Throw in the Bowl traveling fans and then add Pasadena and you are thoroughly narrowing down the pool. You’re not going to get the Grade A -assholes we got in Columbus in 04. Even the hokie fans on Bourbon were fine during Sugar Bow week back in the 90’s when we blew a nice halftime lead. ive traveled to a number of away games, and bowl games and the difference is night and day from what you get. Just my observation
  5. A few buddies and I from ol' JJ Pearce (one of the whitest school in DFW, lol) went to a Skyline playoff game his Sr. year, playing Sunset or Spruce, I think it was at Loos Fieldhouse. We knew we were at the right gym when during warmups he threw the ball off the back wall of the gym caught on the rebound at its highest point and tomahawked it. It was awesome.
  6. OFY I love it ! Holy sheeite muslim Texas Flood up front, its coming.
  7. That’s like saying your third baseman needs to an hr hitter. They all hit dingers now, even shortstops and 2nd baseman
  8. Sark has better buddies. Strong really didnt have many connections. Herman's were unproven and turned out to be very weak coaches, as compared to other power 5 programs of our caliber.
  9. That's impressive. Let's hire Nick Saban. Haha. We tried, we tried.
  10. Check up-thread a bit. There is an entire starting lineup of AL OL in the NFL . In fact , a few weeks ago, when Tua started, there was a starter, from Bama, at all 22 positions that Sunday.
  11. Good enough for the top 2 tackles in the country, this cycle, to commit.
  12. The AL OL has a starter in the NFL at every position. Need more?
  13. Ha! Charlie Strong is also on that staff (another of Saban's analysts). Sark could bring Stoops, Boom and Strong. LOL
  14. well it does rhyme with Dewers. I kid i kid. At a minimum, Milroe would instantly be in transfer watch.
  15. He wouldn’t get fired if we were 10-3 with W over LSU
  16. We’re a 9-4 team this year. W @kansas and the grimme game. L to LSU (given Herman’s penchant to get out coached). Is that enough to save him? Tcu ( the late fumble) and ISU (take the fg and later, don’t take the sack) were W’s that got away. We had a squad to make the playoffs. Urban has to see that.
  17. That’s bullshit: 1) they showed a replay where it’s pretty clear he hurt his shoulder (on the sack) 2) we were going to try and score on the last possession until the penalty on the kick return negated decent field pos 3) nothing in Sam’s history dictates he would do this
  18. no, I think he's saying if we get close to the date with no movement, then its likely we are staying status quo. He's saying that is a "date to watch".
  19. yeah, he gone. I stated yesterday as a part of the day crew, its happening (firing Herman), just not on the Surly timeline. This is why i think Urban Meyer is still in play and I wouldn't be surprised to see Sam return if that happens. Everyone got a free year, Card would still have 3-4 years eligibility with Meyer running things; may cost us Thompson, but that would open door for a recruiting flip late before NSD2
