  1. You don’t fire a coach coming off 10-win Sugar bowl victory.
  2. We'd love to have those FG's. Herman's disrespect for 3 points has cost us in his 1 year (4x) here.
  3. That's actually a good point. We don't want two buyouts, one from Fox and one for Sperman
  4. Heard a stat today from an U of AL colleague, Bama has/had a starter at every position (Tua was starting last week) at every position in the NFL, every position.
  5. I could see Ash staying; our D has improved and the majority comes back. Giles is on his 3rd straight DL of the year; Hutzler is a stud. Also , Meyer is on record stating Ash was a great hire. Our D has played well enough that it could be justified to keep Ash. The problems have been on the offensive side of the ball. We should have had a swing pass dialed up on the last drive to get Bijan in space , especially with a timeout.
  6. Yep. That’s right. I remember. That made them bowl eligible and saved KK for a year
  7. 5 games sum up the Herman erA: 1. Sam fumble going in for the win at usc 2. Sam int at home vs osu. Fg would have sent to ot 3. 3rd and 17 vs lsu 4. fumble vs tcu after hurry up offense when discretion called for clock management before the fumble 5 jumping offsides vs ISU last year on 4 th down setting up their gw fg.
  8. Yeah but it’s a free commercial for them. With that big #5 by their name, beating the defending champ (I know I know ) on a night where they’re the only game on..its major coup for them. Not their fault they are playing swoopes 2.0.
  9. You must be a young’un. That was/is common knowledge round these parts. That was the beginning of the end for Mack. Cleve was his fix-it man (benson tv deal, kindle crashing into Orange Tree were two of higher profile rows I’m sure he was involved in). We played like ass ( the kirkendoll drop changed the feel of that game) vs. Neb in Dallas, the first game sans OFN (believe he got held off the travel party) and things went down hill from the there, mack never recovered. Not sure they are related but the timing of our downfall coincided with Mack’s right hand man getting exposed, suspended , subsequently fired. Big law suit ensued and it became a shit show.

    LSU/aggy

As much as I hate to admit it , Jumbo putting on a coaching clinic so far. Early in game, 4th and less than a yard, punt and play field pos. Later in game, takes 3 points after a stall. Current drive 4 and 3 ,punt and Pins lsu at 1” line. Lsu goes 3 and out and Tamu immediately capitalizes on field pos and scores in a couple plays.
  11. This is the "We're Texas" bs we need to distance from. Optics, high ground, doing the right thing are all in the "We're Texas" toolbox. I say bs, athletics is business, and when you are paid $5M, decorum goes out the window. Blow him out, we whiffed, we failed, bad hire , we need to start over and do it asap.
  12. I pointed out to my game watching crew yesterday after the game....Herman did not coach at Texas for 4 years, he coached Texas 1 year, 4x. Never had any growth, we were the same type of team in year one as we were/are year today. Penalties at crucial moments, turnovers when the game was either in hand or at the cusp of victory, special teams gaffes, missed opportunity after missed opportunity, bizarre personnel groupings and poor clock management. Not to mention an overall lack of maturity across all aspects of the program, including head coach. He never developed as a coach. He’s the same guy, and that’s what gets you passed by. You are never staying the same, you are either getting worse or getting better. In this case by staying the same, he got worse as the years have gone by. Can’t have that at a place like TX.
  13. Nice career but he was shitty for the vast majority of this whole year, awful today. Missed receivers, too high, too low, didn’t stretch the ball, held the sack, terrible.
  14. He dropped a crucial one late.
  15. Riley did not recruit or develop Murray, the punk that transferred from Tech or the bama kid. all of them were finished products when he got them
  16. According to epic pass folks, there won’t be nearly as many lift tickets issued, so from a crowd standpoint, it may actually be a decent time to ski. Now, they may limit employee count and amenities too, so That could even it out and suck. But if they have the full compliment of staff, may actually be like skiing with half the people
  17. First tie break is head to head. In this case you would throw that out since there are (theoretically) 4 teams at 2 losses, assuming we win out. We would have a 2-1 record against the other 3. (W vs ISU and OSU L OU). I think that puts us in with OU (w TX and Osu and L vs ISU)
  18. Yes, they are as good for warmth as they are safety. Too many boarders and rookies whizzing by, not to mention the occasional diversion through the trees. Wearing a helmet is a no brainer (no pun intended).
  19. Keontay’s injury did not occur on the 1 yard TD, as noted in the injury update above. The tv feed did a good job showing the replay of the play prior to the td, he got rolled up on pretty good and he was noticeably limping/hurt. As we are prone to do, we hurried up and ran another play (to the same back, ala TCU game), handing the ball off to an injured player, thankfully he had enough adrenaline to punch it in. He then limped off the field. Not sure how they missed that in the injury update.
  20. I guess we should start asking who the backup K is? Dicker and our susceptibility to blocked punts, special team’s gaffes, who is Dicker’s backup? Because we better have a plan BCD given the IQ of Herman’s outfits. Dicker goes down and we lose the K and P.
  21. Card can punt. Plus we get a little extra with the fakey option.
  22. Zoom peloton all the covid stocks taking a beating
