  1. DY will be fine. In some ways I wish Carter was still here to provide depth, but DY is more than capable of helping the run game
  2. This drives me crazy. When the main character (who is often an hourly jack) comes in to work in the morning, and the whole effing office is a buzz of activity. Like the whole office has been there since 4 am working away and shit is getting done, but we're lead to believe the character is just getting to work, coffee in hand etc...they walk in to the office and there is a couple people milling around having a side meeting, copiers copying, phones ringing... the character strolls in like they own the place, but really they're basically just another guy.
  3. liked it, solid. would recommend.
  4. What with his cheery disposition and all. A lot different life without willie lyles feeding him players.
  5. Jeff Bridges in Crazy Heart and in Hell or High Water, the character he plays, talks with the exact same twang, voice inflection and tone.
  6. I hope he’s referring to KJ, but it kind of sounds like he meant that for Overshon. The two texts make it seem like both are not serious. I hope that’s the case. I remember when Bo Scaife was the perpetually injured spring casualty. Turned out to be a great one despite.
  7. You're telling a guy who said he hated the dialogue, to go read a book.
  8. He talks that exact way in Hell or High Water.
  9. I was in my 20’s living in Dallas so I remember it pretty well. The story is well documented , Jerry and Jimmy meeting at a Mexican restaurant, not trying to hide the interview at all. I agree, the Cowboys were reeling, though Jimmys first team went 1-15 and in a pre-free agency, era, supplemental draft eligible stars (top players actually went to that other league??) , and a once in a lifetime trade with the Vikings all helped create an environment to success. Would Landry have been able to navigate the swashbuckling style, probably not. But the way he was dumped was in poor form, and could have /should have been handled much better. As some have mentioned, he was a Texas legend , so perhaps that played a part.....so yes , eff Jerry.
  10. I agree 100%. As others have said, he’s a slightly lesser version of Quan. Some forget Quan had a year or two of pro baseball before he was a 1st year rec for us. He also played on some of the best Texas teams. I think Duv has many of the same qualities as Quan, toughness, reliability, IQ, great hands. The build/stature of course are very similar too.
  11. Link? Or is this just what Boudreaux told you on the Buddy D show?
  12. Ha! I see. Mack and co. sent all of us to that ledge, it was a crowded stoop. Lets hope we all get to back away for some time.
  13. until he finally J's, then its the player. As for CTJ the player, Oregon going to make them look bad right here in big D in a couple weeks. He'll have a front row seat.
  14. Say what? Listed at 340lbs. Must be a light 340lb
  15. Gray and Brown were as high coming out of HS. . They just had shit line and qb play coupled with a pour D and weak coaching. Charles was a great back on great teams.
  16. If this was the ‘21 thread, I’d say national hot dog day, I’ll have a little mustard on my Oscar-brocker-Meyer
  17. Sounds great! ill check it out. '21 has a chance to be special.
  18. Haven't seen film yet. Is he comparable to Nathan Vashar level fast? NV was a demon on punt returns and in coverage.
  19. Well i guess that answers that. Duh! One too many at The Old Absinthe House.
  20. Well it did get some dude in Florida out of jail. Some crazy defense that a knucklehead judge/jury fell for.
  21. West campus had a great bar, Don Juans , in the summer of ‘88. Bunch of ZBT dudes ran the door and bar tended. My Flea market bought GA Id worked great. Hell of a good time for this at the time provisional freshman, still managed to get in to UT despite many a late night. Don Juans Davis will be my favorite player to root for.
