  1. Finished S3 last night. The last episode really landed the plane for me. After the so-so episodes in the middle (the baby episode was awful), I liked the finale. Richie needed to bring his counterpart from the other restaurant to the wedding, but that may be too much for his daughter to handle. The Faks are ok, i think I read where most of their scenes were non-scripted. Sena was a non-starter for me, could have done without. I loved the music as others have said, but i'm an REM and Counting Crows fan, so I was stoked for all the airplay. Kind of surprised Carmy didn't learn how not to manage from his experience with the shitty boss...Carm strikes me as a guy who hasn't been a boss before and instead of being in a kitchen for 10 years (eg), he's been in charge for 1 year, 10X, never evolving or growing as a leader. I don't have anything personally that I'm necessarily passionate about (maybe other than TX FB), so maybe I cant relate. I viewed the conversation with that guy in the hallway as a "I treated you poorly so you could do better " type excuse, so "you're welcome". Kind of a right of passage thing. I can see him and Claire reuniting as he grows professionally. I see him ceding control to Syd next season, or perhaps as a way to wrap up S4. He is better as a #2 imo....no leadership skills. The boxes scene was him doing an I told you so. Looks like the review was bad, not sure how Cicero squares staying in the deal with the bad review. Someone needs to be an angel investor is most likely , perhaps they coop the deal and all put some skin in the game, get a loan etc.. but $800K from the kitchen staff is highly unlikely. Mortgage the building , get a loan and pay off the debt? Looking forward to S4.
  2. I stand corrected, i had no idea. Good on ya. Go Stars.
  3. that pick deep in OU territory was really close to a pick 6 and would have likely lost the game for us. Dont recall who made the tackle but it was one of those tackles where it didnt seem like it was that important, but the dude had the entire sideline open
  4. saw a post on X that saturday started a stretch of football every day for the next 56.
  5. This was beautiful, insightful..... I read it as if i was reading Kerouac.
  6. fucking A not all heroes wear capes, you run with a good friend group.
  7. Some cue up the mullett wearing Texas fan from Nebraska about a decade ago...he may want his jacket back...an all time gif from the tos.
  8. In post game Sark said he was kicking himself, as he had another play in the bag and that was instinct and changed it. iirc it was very short down and distance and ran to the right on a stretch play. Could have been to the short side too, thats not our game...we arent really a groud and pound O with all of our speed. Thought that was an interesting comment by Sark.
  9. Very Herman-Esque. Herman’s disdain for 3 cost him several times. Hopefully sark learns.
  10. When will the 10year start to drop? Seems like lower inflation and the drop in fed funds rate would have triggered more action to the downside. It actually rallied since last week.
  11. Thats one of the reasons why I think we see QE to start and ideally get a lead and sit him. We can run a ton of quick stuff to lessen chance of a hit. Not ideal I know, but if we can run those screens, short routes and use RB power to control the game, would like to see QB1 back in DKR
  12. good to know, didnt realize that. Would be nice to have him available vs MSU. Seen too many conference games go to shit vs what was supposed to be lesser teams.
  13. Hip drop is an epidemic on college football and needs to be the new targeting. I know there is no appetite for slowing the game down with reviews, but this is a must. As players get bigger and tackling less focused on in practice the lazy man's way of stopping the ball carrirer/pass catcher is to grab on and swing your weight around the thighs and its going to ruin careers.
  14. Blue, Gibson and Niblett is a hell of a backup plan. Get Trey healthy by OU and we should be fine.
  15. Yeah i thought for sure we lost him on that play and the one on Gibson too. So fortunate so plays did not result in major incidents
  16. kids and not wanting them to miss school is basically it. My guys ski trip we go more randon off weeks, but the kids are off and with 3 teens in 2 different schools (so different spring breaks) it gets tough. We stay ski in-out and try stay at the top its not too bad. one day we get a guide and can use ski school line, so its ok, plus Deer Valley thins the herd a bit with no snowboarders and price.....but i agree its not ideal.
  17. atta boy, looking dec day after Christmas to 30th for me. not booked yet, just the car so far.
  18. This guy uis playing himself into an NFL job. He will be a load for us in a month or so in Fayettnam.
  19. We owe these guys. I went to Starkville my sr year at Texas and watched us get our asses kicked. Then came back to ATX the following year for a game and watched us get our asses kicked again. IIRC we beat them in a bowl game but we owe them a smooth beat down for the last 2 regular season losses they handed us.
