  1. The visual displays on the upper deck covers are really well done. In fact, I’m sure it’s within the technical wheelhouse to expand the static visuals to something more dynamic. It doesn’t feel like we’re covering up seats.
  2. No, I was catty corner behind the Texas bench, about 30 rows up. Regular Joe seating. The self check out lines make a world of difference.
  3. Don’t care to spend the brain power deciphering if this is sarcasm or not. I will say, I never stood in one line for beer last night. I was back to my seat in under 3 minutes every time I left for concessions - no hyperbole. I’ve seen some great games at the Erwin center, I’ve seen even more stinkers at that dump. The Moody Center is the best basketball venue I’ve ever been to. Stinker is not in that places vocabulary. It certainly helps that our team is a legit final four contender. Maybe I’m huffing the Kool-aid, but this season feels like it’s going to be special.
  4. Spent waaaaay too much money on tickets. First time in the new Moody. Excited to see how we match up against a high caliber team. Hook em!
  5. Morris is almost certainly one and done. Hunter is a coin flip.
  6. I think we’ll see more of Bishop once we start playing teams that can legitimately bang down low e.g. Gonzaga. Disu needs the early season minutes to get his confidence and feet back under him, and clearly Disu has a better offensive game. But Bishop has shown he can be a physical presence on the defensive block. That alone should earn him minutes when we encounter the Gonzagas and Baylors of the world.
  7. Gradey Dick is unanimous first team all douche bag. He is the KU JJ Reddick. I’m very happy we have a defense this year because his tears will be sweet and plentiful.
  8. Golding is clearly a good coach. I’m sure his familiarity with Beard is playing a factor here.
  9. This is what Texas basketball is supposed to look like. Buckle up gentlemen.
  10. So many scoring threats. This year is going to be fun
  11. Huh? Stojakovich committed to Stanford. AJ Johnson is still uncommitted.
  12. Par for the course with the frogs, I know. I laughed in his face fwiw.
  13. Apparently there are rumors in TCU circles that Gary Patterson came to an agreement with Sark that Gary won’t help gameplan against TCU. “Gary has too much love for the TCU program” was the reasoning. This sounds like complete and utter horse shit. In what world would Sark allow GP to take the week off in the single most impactful game on our schedule? I was told this by one particularly delusional TCU alum.
  14. I really like the way the roster is structured in terms of minute distribution. I don’t see any log jams that may create individual playing time frustrations like we saw last year with Mitchell and Tyson. We have 4 legit guards with a clear pecking order in terms of seniority/experience among the top 3. Bishop and Disu will probably see an even split in time at the 5, with either guy being capable of starting or finishing the game. Allen & Mitchell can play alongside each other or spell one another. Then you have Brock and the other white kid ready to go when needed. We may drop a game or two due to lack of post depth, but the versatility on this roster is a major strength. Beard has a lot of room to experiment.
  15. RoJo is a known commodity to scouts at this point. A year as lead back would only marginally improve his draft stock. Dameon Pierce on the Texans is a good comp for him. Tough runner who never had the opportunity to be featured back in college. He’ll be a mid-round pick and thrive given the right opportunity.
  16. It’s the same fucking room with a new lamp and clean sheets
  17. There is a love shape with points greater than three, I’m certain of that. Otto would be a sick participant, but this is GoT after all.
  18. The surrounding pieces should improve the running game, certainly. The formula is still going to be heavy servings of Bijan, with a side scoop of Roschon. Keilan Robinson will have his moments. Expecting the freshman who currently sits 5th on the depth chart to contribute in a meaningful way is far fetched, given the talent in front of him.
  19. Rhaenyra and Alicents’ blossoming lesbian relationship is going to be tested when Rhaenyra finds out her bff with benefits is fucking her dad.
  20. Ewers is the starter by 10/1. Card is starting for SMU in 2023. Card will lead the snap split 75/25 in our first three games, in which a chimp could predict the outcome. Ewers’ naturally ability will shine in garbage time and will force Sark’s hand come Tech when the offense has put up 6 points at half. We’ve seen this story before, and I don’t blame Sark for not wanting to start Ewers. Once we have real, big boy football data points to look at, the choice should be evident.
  21. Dillion Mitchell is a likely lottery pick next year. Kids with his athleticism don’t stick in college long.
