  1. Great job frogs. Letting the B12 down both on and off the field. Par for the course I ‘spose.
  2. I assumed I had been following this all very closely (been wearing a mask since March, holla!) but honest to goodness, I had no idea until right now HS football in AISD wouldn't be playing actual games until we hit Stage 2.
  3. Good rain right now in '31.
  4. Just finished E2 and I thought the exact same thing. I stopped it about halfway through to make sure the series was indeed every Sunday and not a nightly episodic series. I honestly thought I had just skipped over several episodes. That was a complete mess.
  5. College Gameday announced they're still planning to set-up every Saturday but without fans. That will be...odd. I presume Herbie, Rece, Nessler, Danielson, Gus, etc are all going to be announcing inside their respective stadiums and not doing any remote broadcasting nonsense. What's the status on most of these universities/towns and attendance? Will most the games be 25%+/-? I think I've seen 1-2 in the SECSECSEC at 30% but that's it. Anything higher? Are bands struck across the board? Gotdam, so glad to have CFB back but this is going to be so eerie without crowds.
  6. New Yorkers everywhere preparing for Superstorm Laura landfall by late Saturday/early Sunday.
  7. Relocating from Beaumont to Waco? That’s like moving from Fallujah to Allepo.
  8. Any of you have an electrician or two you would recommend? I’ve used a guy in the past who does moderate work but his pricing is generally 2x what it should be. Nothing major, but I’m needing to run some electrical where there is none on the back patio for a TV setup come CFB in the fall (hopefully) as well under cabinet lighting in the kitchens and bathrooms. Thanks and I love you all.
  9. Donovan Mitchell has entered the best-player-of-playoffs chat.
  10. I would be okay never hearing or seeing Clay Travis‘s name ever again.
  11. No we’re talking. Nothing like getting this thread back on track quite like posting an article from five days ago.
  12. Not on the television but rereading The Stand. Best King book ever on paper.
  13. I say this as someone who can't stand UM but c'mon now. The winningest CFB team of all-time is not a "bubble" blue blood. That' just silly. You had a bad take. Put the shovel down and move on.
  14. If those UNC videos are any indication, Chapel-Hill will have herd immunity by about lunch-time Thursday.
  15. This too is a good point. There are a million reasons CoA should have have tabled this for a later date but this is among the most notable. Truth is, we have little idea what the typical work day is going to look like once Covid has passed. Especially in such a city which is both as tech-based and adaptable as Austin. In fact, the only thing we can say for near certainty is is a lot more of our workforce are going to be working from home, or at the very least, working drastically different schedules moving forward. That much is unarguable. Whether that number is 10% or 50% we don’t yet know but it’s going to be significant. The difference between 180,000 vpd on MoPac versus 125,000 vpd is the difference between bumper-to-bumper August 2019 MoPac and cruising down MoPac during the Year 2000 (/insertConanObrien‘InTheYear2000’gif).
  16. This is where I am 100%. Money for more busses, rerouting of existing bus lines and, perhaps, even a couple more rail cars? Sure thing. Sinking billions upon billions into subways which will both be exponentially over budget and quite possibly antiquated by the time it’s completed? Abso-freaking-lutely not.
  17. If BYU and Nebraska want in the Big12 for one year (the latter ain’t happening because Grant of Rights and such,) the conference should agree provided both play every game on the road.
  18. Whatever happens in the next 24-48 hours, expect Ketchum’s ‘inside info’ to be the polar opposite.
  19. And had you likely got your wish a few years ago to jettison out of this shitty conference we’d all be on the sidelines with the rest of the Pac12.
