  1. Admittedly, I didn’t know much about him at the time but I found Pat McAfee’s appearances on CGD last season to be obnoxious. But I started listening to his radio show a few weeks back and he’s pretty damn good at what he does. Definitely a fan now.
  2. I often wonder what that move did to him irl. Like, does he carry it with him every waking moment as some sort of scarlet letter as he walks the streets of the real world hoping beyond hope some internet sleuths don’t dox him, or is it just a distant, all but forgotten memory from his internet posting days on a website he barely remembers?
  3. Gotdam, this thread has taken a turn towards suck the past page. More football, less bitching please.
  4. I mayyyyy be going out on a bit of a limb here, but I’d suspect that hard Avatar 5 release date could be subject to change between now and then.
  5. I have nothing to add other than I listened to Peter Schiff’s latest interview on Rogan this weekend and I feel more down than ever now.
  6. Hopefully more movies go the way of Greyhound and continue to get picked up. I haven’t seen any numbers but surely that’s been a huge hit for Apple+.
  7. It's pretty fascinating how quiet the NFL has been quiet during all of this. With the exception of the NBA playoffs, the NFL dominates the sports talk even during the summer months despite there not ever being anything of real substance. Aside from some Brady and Dak talk last month things have been strangely silent. Even the cancelling of the HOF game was done in a manner which seemed like the league was trying to keep it as hush-hush as possible. No comment or talk of player bubbles, fan attendance guidelines, delaying of a season, scheduling contingencies, etc. Nada. Nothing. The NBA offered more on their 'snitch hotline' than the NFL has put out on everything else combined. It's all been really weird.
  8. Assuming it makes it to trial, serving on that jury is going to be one stressful outing for twelve poor souls.
  9. What a nightmare. I hope there are some quality cameras permanently affixed nearby, because when that thing breaks it’s going to be an incredible event to witness.
  10. I wonder if that includes private daycare services at the K-12 schools (e.g. St. Theresa's, Andrews, Hyde Park, etc) as well?
  11. I know a lot (and perhaps most?) were likely discussing this going back several months, but I am truly shocked so many administrators and districts seemingly just started this planning-for-contingency process within the last few weeks instead of way back in March/April. At the very least, some of the better alternatives could have been floated out to the general public sooner so both administrators and parents could provide feedback and start planning accordingly. What a mess this has become.
  12. It was nice of The Lincoln Project to check in on Coach Jason Brown.
  13. Obligatory.
  14. That makes little to no sense. If true, every school in every metro in Texas will be on break by the last week of September.
  15. How does this even work? Does AF1 get up to 4,000’ altitude then begin its descent?
  16. I mean...I’m in love with this woman.
  17. The tweets of someone who now suddenly knows his Supreme Courts future.
  18. Just remember, when last asked to grade himself on his handling of everything COVID-related, Trump gave himself an ‘A’.
  19. When (err...if) CFB is cancelled, I wonder if the NFL looks at moving some of their games to Saturdays?
  20. This is the most Iowa State Post I’ve ever read in my life.
  21. One of the best miniseries ever IMO. Fantastic background television during the Fourth.
  22. Well, we're actually only the 30th largest metro in the country so your baseline may need to be reestablished a bit. FWIW, I got tested a week ago today at TM North and was in and out in less than 2.5hrs. Received the results back in 16 minutes (negative).
  23. Well, to their credit, if they’re asking this question it is clearly due to lack of oxygen to the brain.
  24. Holdout Brewery is open on West 5th. Swing by and support them if you can. They opted to have their grand opening during a pandemic to serve Austinites so return the favor. Local operators with great beer and a solid burger to boot. Just don’t all go at once because I’d like to still be able to get a table Thursday and Friday afternoons.
