  1. The most viscous dogs. And the most ominous weapons.
  2. The Epstein docuseries just dropped. I mean, we all knew what a POS he was, but one episode in and it’s already worse than I imagined. I foresee this reigniting the social media campaigns once again.
  3. May 27th ain’t historically a good day for Central Texas weather.
  4. I’m not one who has watched a lot of shows in my life, but in my somewhat limited sample, it wouldn’t surprise me if International Assassin eventually goes down as one of the best television episodes of all time. That was such a crazy sixty minutes of tv.
  5. I do most off my shopping there and I was honestly under the impression they wouldn't let you in without one, until I saw my first unmasked shopper yesterday. I much prefer shopping in person but if that starts rising I'll jump on the curbside train. I’m at this HEB at least 4-5x/week and I too saw my first unmasked shopper yesterday. The irony is he was probably 70-75 years old. For the most part, the mask wearing in Austin has been pretty solid during all of this. I’d easily give our city a B+/A-
  6. Lulz. Good to see you’re going all-in after your Sam Bowie whiff a couple pages ago.
  7. I’m sure it’s been mentioned here but Trump’s supposed taking of hydroxy is just a slightly different take on his ridiculous redrawing of the NWS hurricane tracker with a sharpie. That way, in a couple weeks when he (allegedly) still hasn’t contracted Covid he can proudly claim that despite his personal assistant, his driver, multiple secret service agents, etc., around him getting ill, he never got sick and it’s all thanks to the hydroxy. Once again he’ll be right and the medical professionals were all wrong. It’s a simple game he plays. When the incessant lying doesn’t work, create fake scenarios around him to trick his mind, and in in turn, the minds of his 42%.
  8. Lots of good info on this thread. I don't know why I'm finding this more confusing than it probably is but can someone help me out here? I'm a 1099/independent contractor and was eligible -and received- the PPP for the maximum capped amount of $21k. I set aside the money in a separate PPP-specific account in order to better track how it's spent but I don't have a clue what I can be doing to "maximize" the forgivable amount. As an IC I guess I'm technically payroll so do I simply write myself a check (e.g. move the money to my personal account) every two weeks of an equivalent amount I made over a similar two-week pay period last year? Since my work-office is closed and I now fully work from home can I be using the funds to pay my mortgage and all utilities? My profession is directly linked with businesses being open for business so my income the past two months has been almost zero. My goal is to try and keep as much of this money as I can since my income will likely be near zero for the next few months. I'm basically the golden retriever wearing the protective glasses and mixing liquids in the science beakers meme right now. I have no idea what I'm doing.
  9. What was your procedure here? Wearing a blindfold.
  10. Lulz.
  11. This documentary is incredible. I have laughed out loud multiple times. So many great characters. MJ watching Gary Payton‘s commentary on the ‘96 Finals was aces. Btw, we’re eight episodes in and we have not heard John Tesh’s music even once. Travesty.
  12. For you Kevin Nealon fans, check out Conan O'Brian’s podcast episode with him from about a month ago. It’s classic Kevin and Conan. Probably a Top 2-3 episode.
  13. Negative eleven? Damn people. That’s legally blind territory right? I’ve been in the -4.50 range for the better part of 15 years. With contacts I’m 20/25 or slightly better. I’ve been reluctant to do LASIK because anything worse than 20/15 or and I start squinting because it doesn’t feel perfect like I’ve been used to all the years. I have a pair of back up glasses which I’ll sometimes wear on vacation which are 20/20 and I’m constantly wondering “what’s the point?” Can they tell you before the surgery what your eyes will look like? I would hate to go through with it only to achieve 20/20.
  14. He’s not the best but I’ve been really impressed with Brock Huard the past two seasons of CFB. I think he’s moved up to one of ESPNs top guys.
  15. Dang. Looking at these rainfall totals and -as usual- Onion Creek is the leader in the clubhouse at three inches already. Has there been any spot in Central Texas over the past decade which has received more rainfall than them?
  16. KXAN always does such a great job during these storms. They’ve been on the ground tracking the tornado for the past 15-20 mins.
  17. As a fan of Hardy and an even bigger fan of Capone and mob movies, this...does not look good.
  18. Mr. Fink Thanks Mr. Fink for that uplifting morning message.
  19. Huh?? This past Halloween in Austin was the coldest in 30 years. And the one before that (or maybe 2017?) was among the coldest in decades too.
  20. Temps just dropped about 10 degrees in less than a minute in West Austin. Pretty impressive.
  21. Needed a break in between eps 5 and 6 of the MJ Docuseries so I started 'Into The Night'. It's a Belgium apocalypse show which just dropped this week. A governmental agent with high-level intel hijacks a plane and forces it west as a solar apocalypse occurs on the ground across the globe. It's my first ever fully dubbed viewing so it took about 5-10 to get used to it, now I hardly notice. Six episodes total, each about forty minutes long so it makes for easy watching. Somewhat silly premise but I'm two episodes in and I'll definitely see out the final four.
  22. If sales of alcohol exceed 49% of your business you’re a bar.
  23. I ordered the usual Carnivore with one additional topping of extra cheese at $4(!!!). Via is adding a 15% surcharge on all orders during Covid which brought the total to $37. Standard 20% tip and it was $45 and change. The meat combo at Little Deli is $22 with $2.50 extra cheese topping. Again, not a big deal because our household does one of Via, LD or Homeslice at least once a week, but Via is always considerably more expensive.
  24. Via is fantastic but my one large pizza (read: no beers, appetizers, desserts, etc) cost $46 the other night. It’s always been my Top 2 in Austin but thats pretty damn absurd for a pizza place, especially when I get two larges from both Homeslice and Little Deli for the same price.
