This documentary is incredible. I have laughed out loud multiple times. So many great characters. MJ watching Gary Payton‘s commentary on the ‘96 Finals was aces.
Btw, we’re eight episodes in and we have not heard John Tesh’s music even once.
Travesty.
For you Kevin Nealon fans, check out Conan O'Brian’s podcast episode with him from about a month ago.
It’s classic Kevin and Conan. Probably a Top 2-3 episode.
Negative eleven? Damn people. That’s legally blind territory right?
I’ve been in the -4.50 range for the better part of 15 years. With contacts I’m 20/25 or slightly better. I’ve been reluctant to do LASIK because anything worse than 20/15 or and I start squinting because it doesn’t feel perfect like I’ve been used to all the years. I have a pair of back up glasses which I’ll sometimes wear on vacation which are 20/20 and I’m constantly wondering “what’s the point?”
Can they tell you before the surgery what your eyes will look like? I would hate to go through with it only to achieve 20/20.
Dang. Looking at these rainfall totals and -as usual- Onion Creek is the leader in the clubhouse at three inches already.
Has there been any spot in Central Texas over the past decade which has received more rainfall than them?
Needed a break in between eps 5 and 6 of the MJ Docuseries so I started 'Into The Night'. It's a Belgium apocalypse show which just dropped this week. A governmental agent with high-level intel hijacks a plane and forces it west as a solar apocalypse occurs on the ground across the globe. It's my first ever fully dubbed viewing so it took about 5-10 to get used to it, now I hardly notice.
Six episodes total, each about forty minutes long so it makes for easy watching. Somewhat silly premise but I'm two episodes in and I'll definitely see out the final four.
I ordered the usual Carnivore with one additional topping of extra cheese at $4(!!!). Via is adding a 15% surcharge on all orders during Covid which brought the total to $37. Standard 20% tip and it was $45 and change.
The meat combo at Little Deli is $22 with $2.50 extra cheese topping.
Again, not a big deal because our household does one of Via, LD or Homeslice at least once a week, but Via is always considerably more expensive.
Via is fantastic but my one large pizza (read: no beers, appetizers, desserts, etc) cost $46 the other night.
It’s always been my Top 2 in Austin but thats pretty damn absurd for a pizza place, especially when I get two larges from both Homeslice and Little Deli for the same price.
I can’t even phantom how spring CFB would work.
-What happens with the NFL Draft, pro days, OTAs, etc? Is the NFL drafting college players while they’re still playing?
-When does NSD occur? Are coaches recruiting during the season?
-What in the world do you do with the spring sports? Attendance at the Erwin Center on Saturdays would go from hundreds to dozens.
-Does Spring practice get pushed back to summer practice? If so, that’s essentially back-to-back seasons with almost zero rest in between
-Any player with a moderate or major injury likely misses the next season in its entirety since there would only be 2-3 months before the end of the season and the Fall ‘21.
I can think of countless more questions but that’s just the start. And don’t get me wrong, I’ll take college football in any shape or form, but there are A LOT of major issues to work through.
