  1. Pretty major swerve following their purchase of Twin Oaks a few years ago.
  2. Looks fantastic. +rep. Closing at 645 though? Not sure I’ve ever seen one which shuts its doors that early.
  3. +rep. That was one of the best threads on Shaggy. Mind starting a new one here again?
  4. Yep. Really good food.
  5. Yep, you’re right. It was his other bad restaurant.
  6. How do you people get drunk at La Mancha? They have among the weakest drinks of any TexMex place in town.
  7. Yea, Shawn is good people. Seems to be the type who gives back to the community too. +rep Gusto is not good. Like, at all. It’s also probably the reason they closed months ago. Moose out front should have told you. Agreed with Italic. It was generally above-average Italian food at a very decent price but I don’t even think about it anymore. Like a lot of their concepts unfortunately, I don’t think they’re long for this world. I’ve had some really good meals at Italian Italian on South Lamar. Definitely worth a try Never thought of it as true Italian but Red Ash is some of the best food in the city. Jack’s right on Traviata bolognese. My favorite in the city. Vespaio has always been top notch. Haven't tried Uncle Nicky’s yet but hoping too sometime in the next few weeks.
  8. Wow. I’m a huge sucker for all things Terminator related but that was... Not good.
  9. Some of these memes ya’ll are posting are really bad.
  10. The District opens Tuesday.
  11. We always hear that a wet spring helps keeps the summer temperatures down but how long do the effects really last? A few weeks at most, right?
  12. Does the City of Houston have any major infrastructure plans in the works to combat the constant wide-spread flooding or is Art single-handily going to save the city himself?
  13. Holy crap, that was terrifying. Wish it was coming out the week before or two before though. Going against opening weekend of CFB and NFL is an interesting choice.
  14. I hope Uncle Jim never retires but if he does, I hope David Yoemans sticks around to be his long-term successor.
  15. Hard to believe after all the Memorial Day floods we’ve had over the years the record wettest month is a June and it’s only 11.5”. Didn’t the flood of 2015/16 have something like 8” in 12 hours (twss)? Regardless, I’m fully expecting for it to rain every day this month including M.D. yet by the second week of June posters on here will be complaining about some phantom forcefield when a storm dissipates 40 miles west of Austin.
  16. Damn, I didn’t know Voodoo grew up to be such a solid actor. He’s got quite the IMDB list.
  17. Grop-a, grop-a! Sniff-a, sniff-a!
  18. Uncle Jim gets visibly upset anytime the young buck talks over him.
  19. The writers did a great job of making the undead truly frightening. The music during the final scene was A++ too. Sad to see NK go. A large part of me wanted to see him run roughshod over Westeros.
  20. This thread is Yep. This thread is quickly going the way of a flat-earther message board. No real evidence, but alleged conspiracies errrrywhere. It’s embarrassing for just about everyone involved. With the exception of a possible Muller testimony this one has completely run it’s course. Maybe Hugo can start a SDNY thread. At least that one actually appears to have some upcoming potential.
  21. The Love Field men’s room toilet situation is absurd. The main terminal past security has 22 toilets in the entire facility. Twenty two. I’ve counted. At any any given time there’s, what, 2500 male passengers at Love? That means if just 1% of us are needing to rock a deuce, there’s going to be a line. It’s ridiculous.
