  1. This thread is the biggest cocktease since Saban.
  2. I wonder if this will be Better Call Saul’s final season and the movie will pickup shortly after its conclusion and encompass a full flash-forward.
  3. Austin passes over $1b in bonds but fails to pass a $1 million bond for outside auditing. Wtf?
  4. The pros of an HQ2 in Austin far, far outweigh the cons.
  5. If Brewer plays more than one quarter, Baylor may have run away with it.
  6. Chiming in to say I’ve been drinking CoA tap water exclusively since the boil water requirements began. I refuse to give in the the hysterics. Still don’t have the deads...yet
  7. Hide domestic abuse (x2), get blasted by Kansas. You deserve it Gary.
  8. Once today is over, I'd be curious to see what the streak of rain has looked like in Austin over the past two months. I would guess we've received rain on at least 40 of the last 55 days or so.
  9. I’m ready for another CFB scandal. And it sounds like Lyin’ Gary may just give it to us.
  10. Adler’s television spot with him yelling at a concert at Zilker is the least Adler-thing ever. Very cringe worthy.
  11. Meanwhile, there still hasn't been a single test which has indicated the water is anything but safe to drink. Yet the entire City of Austin's pets heads are falling off.
  12. So Turpin’s arrest earlier this year was okay because the media outlets didn’t catch wind of it? Gotcha.
  13. Arrested earlier this year in New Mexico too? Something tells me Gary’s Monday is about to get much worse. Filthy hypocrite.
  14. I refuse to either boil my water or purchase my water from a bottle. All this ado about nothing. Been nice knowing y’all though.
  15. We’re going to have to start over on the hurricane names aren’t we?
  16. I can’t wait for the pics to start rolling in of the self-important shoppers loading up on entire pick-up truck-sized loads of water. After all, their water needs are more important than us simpletons.
  17. Such badass pics, thanks for sharing. I took the boat up as close to the dam as possible in July '13 when we were near the all-time low lake level of 620'. To see the dam tower above the water 100' is pretty damn (hehe) impressive and ominous. But these two pics are much, much more frightening.
  18. I always get a kick out of Smithville hitching their name to a 21-yr old movie which scored <25% on Rotten Tomatoes and very few people have admittedly ever seen.
  19. Far from it. I believe the record is almost 50’ in a 24hr period. Regarding the rainfall, it just takes the right amount of rain to fall in the right places. Twelve inches in 48-72 hours in the L.T. basin and City of Austin (not unlike two years ago,) and the lake barely moves. But you get that same rain only a few miles north and west and it’s historic increases. Holy moly: the latest from LCRA is projecting 705’-710’. That’s incredible.
  20. The difference of water on Lake Travis beteen 665’ and 685’ is VASTLY different from 685’ to 705’. A lot more water is going to go into Travis over the next few days but unless something drastic happens, the elevation increase should begin to slow considerably due to the amount of “horizontal” acreage. Not all feet are created equal when it comes to Lake Travis and Mansfield Dam.
  21. Chikage is named after a Japanese ballet dancer. And no Nicole Harford, no care.
  22. Yep. The Highlands can do some crazy things. In large part, that’s what they’re designed for. Lake Travis once went up 40’ in 24 hours. Spencer doing his thing. He’s the best.
