  1. EOSE +.51 to $3.40. The DOE loan for $303.5 million was approved. Certainly helps....but if EOSE meets the benchmarks the hedge fund, Cerberus, put on them, they should eventually make money. Otherwise, the hedge fund would have never funded the plan.
  2. Please do not besmirch a good story with facts.
  3. Doesn’t vs can’t. An uninspiring half of football.
  4. Somewhere, Woody Hayes is having a tantrum throwing first down markers.
  5. Stayed at the Venetian last weekend. Down $400 the first night betting the dark side. The next day we (my baby brother and I) played at the Linq because they had $15 tables. At every casino, the pit boss would acknowledge us as he returned our players card…but not at the Linq. No greeting or small talk, no eye contact, nada. And the dealers were all unpleasant. The vibe at that place sucked and we stayed and played because it was the only place on the strip with $15 tables. But, instead of the dark side, I bet the light side along with everyone else at the table. Screw you. We’re gonna take your money. And we did. My brother and I walked away each +$500. I’d forgotten how much fun it was to have camaraderie with complete strangers while shooting craps and winning. So, for the rest of the trip, I bet the right way…all at the Venetian…and finished +$2500. I’d back up the point w/odds and place the six and eight. No more betting the dark side for this lad.
  6. Man, I’m sorry some of y’all are dealing with heavy shit, but I want to share some positive news. I’ve been sober for three months, I feel terrific, and have absolutely no desire to drink. Just finished a trip to Vegas with my baby brother and had nothing harder than Heineken Zero. My wife trusted me enough to take this trip without her and I did nada to undermine that faith. Our son and son-in-laws are in town for Thanksgiving, they’ll be drinking beer, and I’ll be drinking Heineken Zero. This will be my first sober Thanksgiving in decades. For me and for my family, this Thanksgiving, we have much for which to be thankful.
  7. Black Mass To Rescue EV Battery Supply Chain The EV battery supply chain has been quite a headache for automakers. The materials that go into EV batteries are mined from the Earth, dragging the heavy baggage of environmental and cultural destruction as well as human rights abuses and conflict issues. Recycling provides at least a partial solution, if only recyclers could figure out an economical way to extract cobalt, nickel, manganese, and lithium from spent batteries…oh, wait, here comes black mass. EV Battery Recycling & Black Mass CleanTechnica’s Jo Borras spotted the black mass angle last year, when he featured the Canadian EV battery recycling startup RecycLiCo in a pair of articles. The idea is to strip out the plastics, aluminum, and other non-essential materials from an EV battery and render the remainder into a shiny, metallic powder, which for lack of a better name is commonly referred to as black mass. Not to be confused with another product of EV battery recycling called black powder, black mass contains cobalt, nickel, manganese, and lithium. The next step is to extract the valuable materials and use them to make cathodes for new EV batteries. As described by Borras, the process enables RecycLiCo to recover almost all of the cobalt, nickel, and manganese for recycling into cathode active material for new EV batteries. Lithium is also recovered in the process. When the topic of recycling comes up, the big question is whether or not second-use applications perform as well as virgin materials. RecycLiCo has the answer: yes. Independent tests confirm that lithium-ion battery cells made with RecycLiCo’s high performance materials matched the performance of cells made with virgin materials on purity and other key parameters. Black Mass Is On The Move As of last year RecycLiCo had a demonstration facility to its credit. The company was also working towards a full-scale EV battery recycling facility in Taiwan with Zenith Chemical Corporation, and it has not let the grass grow under its feet. In July of this year, the company announced that its Stage 1 shredding facility at the Taiwan site was already up and running in June. In August, they also announced that the Taiwan venture reached a key milestone in the design phase, leading to the start of construction within the next several months. Meanwhile, in July the company was awarded a European patent for its EV battery recycling system, joining the US, South Korea, Japan, China, India, Australia, and Canada for a total of 16 global patents in all. ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— An article yesterday from Cleantechnica.com mentioning AMYZF.
  8. This team has not improved since the beginning of the year. Disappointing.
  9. Fuck it. I’m going to try the HG method.
  10. I’m a dark side bettor, but am considering a different strategy on this trip. At a $25 min. table, make a $25 don’t pass bet laying no odds w/a pt of 6 or8, laying $75 w/a pt of 5 or 9, and max odds w/a 4 or 10. Then, placing $30 each on the 6 and 8. If the point is 6 or 8, take down the place bet on that number. I want to have fun, maximize my time at the table/comps, and win if the dice are kind. Thoughts?
  11. Of course, I’m happy with the two game lead in our division, but I expected this team to be much better coached at this point in the season. We’re still muy undisciplined making too many mistakes. At times, we play like no one is driving the bus.
  12. They might want to double Hunter…..and everybody else on the D line.
  13. There’s no strict limit on how many times you can use the word “nefarious”.
  14. Governor Abbott, PUCT Release Texas Advanced Nuclear Reactor Working Group Report November 18, 2024 | Austin, Texas | Press Release Governor Greg Abbott and the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) today announced the release of the Texas Advanced Nuclear Reactor Working Group’s final report on Texas’ plan to build a world-leading advanced nuclear power industry to enhance electric reliability and energy security, promote economic development, and unleash new opportunities for the growing Texas workforce. “Texas is the energy capital of the world, and we are ready to be No. 1 in advanced nuclear power,” said Governor Abbott. “By utilizing advanced nuclear energy, Texas will enhance the reliability of the state grid and provide affordable, dispatchable power to Texans across the state. I thank Public Utility Commissioner Jimmy Glotfelty and the members of the Texas Advanced Nuclear Reactor Working Group for working tirelessly to put Texas on the path to be the global leader in advanced nuclear power. As we build an advanced nuclear industry in our great state, we will ensure Texas remains a leader in energy and strengthen the Texas grid to meet the demands of our growing state.” “Texas has long been the energy capital of the world, and today we have an incredible opportunity to build a world-leading advanced nuclear industry that will deliver safe, reliable power for generations to come,” PUCT Commissioner Jimmy Glotfelty said. “I want to thank the Governor for his direction on this important issue and the many people who dedicated their time and expertise to this work. The economic and policy recommendations we’ve outlined will inspire swift action and help Texas become the leader in advanced nuclear energy.” In August 2023, Governor Abbott directed the PUCT to form a working group to study and plan for the use of advanced nuclear reactors in Texas. Over the past year, the working group developed key recommendations and strategies to position Texas as No. 1 in the advanced nuclear industry. ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— UUUU +.65 to $7.29. 16. Paul Rodgers of Free & Bad Company plus Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin. “Alex, I’ll take uranium for $200.”
  17. At least, they got the town right. I saw Jethro Tull in Houston in the early 70’s and Ian Anderson comes on stage and says, “Hello to all you fuckers in Cleveland”.
  18. You hit us in the fucking face and we hit you right back in the fucking face.
  19. I think you’re on to something. Let’s do this.
