  1. Patrick Soon-Shiong, a partial owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, said Anktiva represents the first validation of what he called the “triangle offense” of an immune response. (Pier Marco Tacca/Getty Images) After a merger and an FDA rejection, celebrity businessman and biotech entrepreneur Patrick Soon-Shiong’s ImmunityBio has landed the company’s first U.S. approval in the cancer immunotherapy Anktiva. Anktiva, which is an interleukin-15 superagonist, is now cleared by the FDA alongside the Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccine to treat patients with BCG-unresponsive non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) with carcinoma in situ (CIS), ImmunityBio said Monday. The drug will now compete with Merck & Co.’s PD-1 inhibitor Keytruda and Ferring Pharmaceuticals’ gene therapy Adstiladrin in the same NMIBC CIS setting regardless of the presence of papillary tumors. Both Anktiva and Adstiladrin are administered directly into the bladder, while Keytruda comes as an intravenous therapy.
  2. IBRX is heavily shorted, so if it pops enough, we might get a nice squeeze. There is also the possibility when the PR is released manana that a partnership with Big Pharma is announced. There’s also the possibility that the company sells some stock to raise money on a rally. Short term, who the hell knows? Long term, ImmunityBio has a serious pipeline and is just getting started.. @Hefeweizen This should be a nice long ride (that’s what she said).
  3. God bless you, sir! IBRX is +.94 AH.
  4. I would add that UUUU has no debt, $1.57/sh in cash, actually, has positive earnings, and is investing to grow. I like all that.
  5. These ying yangs (UUUU) are doing the opposite of unlocking shareholder value in the short term and I’m as unhappy as anyone else with that. Having said that, UUUU is working to develop a supply chain of monazite to make rare earths and today’s announced purchase of Base Resources is to establish more rare earth supply. UUUU is targeting 1000 tons of neodymium and praesodyium production at their plant. This is a big deal because our country does not want to have to rely on China for these rare earths. Indeed, UUUU is working to see if the US government will help them pay for some of this under our government’s critical materials programs. In regards to uranium, UUUU has restarted their uranium mines and it takes a bit for those costs to turn into earnings. I don’t blame you if you want to jettison the stock, but I’m continuing to hold it with hopes of a large payoff down the line.
  6. Thus far, the Astros look rather disinterested….an old team spiraling down.
  7. Back in the late 60’s through the 70’s, we had quarterbacks who were extremely good at running the wishbone/option. They were never going to be NFL quarterbacks, but they helped get us two national championships in 1969 and 1970. In 1977, if McBath and Aune hadn’t gone down with season-ending injuries in the ou game, you can make the case we would’ve won another national championship. The fact that we were undefeated and in position to win a NC going into the Cotton Bowl with a third string QB (McEachern) was freaking amazing. The point is we had depth at the quarterback position to be able to run the offense we ran at that time. Darrell Royal and Fred Akers >did not< recruit passing quarterbacks. One of the many Darrell Royal quotes was, “When you put the ball in the air, three things can happen to you and two of them are bad.” Yes, I’m well aware that two of our current quarterbacks are likely first round draft picks. Hopefully, that translates into as many national championships as we won with quarterbacks who were not as adept at throwing the football. Hook ‘em.
  8. I am? I ‘ll drink to that as well.
  9. I’ll drink to that.
  10. My judgement may be impaired because I’m old. Really old. And I’ve been drinking since 9 AM because my wife’s out of town.
  11. No, not never regarding our QB depth. 1969 - James Street, Eddie Phillips, Donnie Wigginton. 1977 - Mark McBath, John Aune, Randy McEachern.
  12. Fine. Let’s revisit these posts after January 20th.
  13. Ryan Wingo is going to be a stud. We are so deep at WR.
  14. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, we’re off.
  15. Low points offer a team of core winners time for inflection. However, if the odor of dissension is building, you can throw the preceding sentence out the window.
  16. Hey, hey, ho, ho Jose Abreu has to go
  17. Be careful what you wish for.

  20. GERN +.27 to $3.71. PDUFA date is getting closer and , the last time I looked, almost 8% of Geron’s outstanding shares are sold short.
  21. Don Ohlmeyer supposedly fired Norm because he refused to let up on the OJ jokes. Ohlmeyer and OJ were friends. R.I.P. To be clear, that’s R.I.P. Norm.
