  1. Everett: What'd the devil give you for your soul, Tommy? Tommy Johnson: Well, he taught me to play this here guitar real good. Delmar: Oh, son. For that, you traded your everlasting soul? Tommy Johnson: [shrugs] Well, I wasn't usin' it.
  2. sounds like Lunhow's getting the pieces all lined for the trade deadline. Expect us to get better.

  12. https://abovethelaw.com/2016/02/a-lateral-partner-mess-down-in-texas/ gonna guess there is at least one attorney not all that upset with the current issues facing Mr. McWilliams.
  13. Jake with a career .077 clip against JA Happ. I guess Kemp is too tired from giving out hugs this weekend?
  14. Middle Age Crazy - Bruce Dern, Ann Margaret, Houston construction company building out a suite in Texas Stadium, Cowboy cheerleaders, etc. Sugarland Express - Goldie Hawn The Rookie - Filmed in Thorndale, and Austin area But other than Giant, Fandango is indeed #1
  15. Disappointed, expected this to be a thread about Alexander Haig.
  16. saw then in Houston a few weeks ago. Joe Walsh was the star of the show. Made me feel good that a guy that old, who has tortured his body for years upon years, could still rock out.
  17. listening to the most recent astros podcast with Lunhow. He basically said that Ted will be brought up at some point this season. Also he didn't rule out him being one of the 25 on the playoff roster.
  18. fairly certain Gattis has snacks hidden in that beard...
  19. full disclosure - I picked up the show at the start of season 3 and watched the entirety from then on. Have not seen the first two seasons -not on Netflix . I can say from season 3 to the end that it's in my top five series ever.
  20. no problem with giving Altuve a day off, just had a problem with it last night. We were facing easily the best starter we will see in this series or the next against the Royals. Not to mention Jose is already getting Thursday off. Take a day off against a chump, not the best we will see over the next six games. Also would have liked to have seen Kemp bunt Reddick over, THEN use Altuve with RISP.
  21. about four times a year to Mexico City and or Monterey for business. Glad I got to go to Acuna before it was ruined - Ma Crosby's for fishbowl beers and froglegs. We walked down the street to the El Toro Bar (which was missing part of its roof). Buddy put a $100bill on the bar and told the bar keep to pay for everyone's drinks, gave another $100 to the mariachi band and told them to keep playing. The bartender next door closed his bar and came over and drank with us...he was also a town doctor. I vaguely remember ending up at the The Hunter club or some such place. My bullshit was working great that night - every chick in that place was mine for the taking.....
  22. Justified
  23. Sunday Supper at State of Grace - biscuits with jam and country ham, salad, collard greens, potato casserole (cheese and bacon with some potatoes), fried boudin balls, slow roasted short rib, caramel custard. still full.
