  1. Barkley was already well beyond LOS when Heath slowed up.
  2. Your missus is quite lovely; the bare-shoulder look looks quite good on her.
  3. As mentioned previously, we who are Horns baseball fans cannot get enough of it. I just hope we get a better product to watch this year.
  4. Louisiana Tech... conjures up NFL images of Terry Bradshaw & Bert Jones, destroying defenses. But not this bunch. i know it’s not the prediction thread, whatthaheck, 48-23.
  5. 10-6 sounds REALLY good to me right now. To do that, Lee has to stay healthy, Zeke must stay out of jail/trouble, & JJ needs to stay off the field (not happening). I will believe it when I see it.
  6. Aggies... never have so many cheered for so little.
  7. Oh, score here, we’ll all feel better, lol
  8. I’m wondering if anybody cares anymore... players or coaches? It appears many of the fans have found better things to do.
  9. From Lubbock, Texas, the land of the Texas Tceh raider red's (just visiting for the holidays), hook 'em.
  10. To have Firmino, Mane, & Mo Salah up front scoring, is amazing; with Milner, Hendo and Lallana creating. But to be able to put a guy like Shaqiri or Stur on the pitch late in games, is enough to drive PL teams bonkers. Just so many weapons. I don't know if Liverpool wins the PL; but they've got the ability. I can't wait to see how the rest of the season unfolds.
  11. Tech improved their run defense immensely (#42, at 140.4 ypg), but goons have #13 rush offense, and #12 pass offense. If Tech could address the penalties (#122, at 78.75 ypg), I would give them a better chance in big games. Over the past 10 or so years, they've been near the bottom in penalties, every year. That hurts. Still, this should be a fun one to watch.
  12. I agree on 8-4; I said it was an improvement before the season started, so I can't be all hurt and surprised if it happens now.
  13. Looking at the stats, some reasons to give hope, others to despair (yes, I know stats can prove/disprove anything the person who cites them desires to prove. Mine are merely for informational purposes, no betting, please);γ€€ Penalty Yards: Texas, #95 (65.38 ypg); WV, #112 (73.71);γ€€ Turnover Margin: Texas, #21 (+.63); WV, #49 (+.29). γ€€ I want to pause right here, because these two stats are very important. In fact, if you can lead your opponent in these two stats, it increases your chance to win. Just sayin'. You mean there is somebody worse at penalties than we are? Yes...WV and Tceh, our next two opponents. I think Tceh has about a 10-year hold on this stat, last in the Big-12 in penalties during that time frame; γ€€ Pass Offense: Texas, #42 (255.4); WV, #9 (331.3); γ€€ Rush Offense: Texas, #83 (154); WV, #89 (147.9); γ€€ Now for the bad news; there is not a single remaining major category in which we lead WV. Offensively, defensively, etc., we don't win. But, that's why they still play the games on the field; γ€€ Pass Yds. Allowed: Texas, #90 (245.3); WV, #57 (216.6); γ€€ Rush Defense: Texas, #36 (133.3); WV, #34 (132.9); γ€€ Sacks: Texas, #78 (15): WV, #47 (17). γ€€ Net Punting: Texas, #89 (36.24); WV, #40 (39.32); γ€€ Kick return defense: Texas, #96 (22.88); WV, #55 (20.17); γ€€ etc. γ€€ None of it looks very good. But, I'll go back to the first two stats- if we limit our penalties, and win the turnover war, we win the game. That is all. γ€€ Hook 'em. γ€€
  14. I now take my crow... I believed we had a great shot to start 1-5. Yet here we are, 4-1, & a decent chance in Dallas. Lots of players & coaches contributed to 4-1, but hats off to Herman & Sam. Shame on me for not believing. Hook β€˜em.
  15. There isn’t a person in that stadium that believes their team can beat ours; but everybody believes Snyder can. Lets see if our coaches believe it...
  16. No kidding, I can't wait to hear how TH spins losses in his post-game pressers. They get better every time. A sampling of past spins: he's already got all emotional, to show how he cares; he's thrown himself under the bus; he's thrown the players under the bus; (my personal favorite) he's told us "winning is hard", lol; he's quoted Steinbeck, to make us all have amazement over his astounding intellect; etc.
  17. The point is, they talked about everything...over 30 minutes. He knew CDC was a busy man, but the fact he had that much time to talk meant a lot to him.
  18. I have more respect for CDC now... An alum wrote a scathing email to CDC on Wednesday morning, everything from the crap we see on the field to removal of the statues on the mall; Wednesday evening, CDC was on the phone to him. They talked for 30 minutes. Del Conte didn't have to call him, but he did.
  19. I still support Orlando. Let's just hope he figures out a way to keep TCU from running the football, and OU from doing anything it wants.
  20. Mack's road record was excellent. Stormtroopers on the road, went 58-15 under Mack (no bowls, neutral sites, or Dallas included). 79.4%. The University of Texas may never again achieve this kind of road domination. There's no going back, but give the man his due. Also, the last guy to beat Okie State, at any venue.
  21. Even texas tceh hired a coach with an unbeaten season at a sec sec sec team under his belt; we hired our last two HC’s from piddly conferences
