  1. Micturated. A very unused word in the English language.
  2. No, it was SWTSU 85-90, and actually graduated. But I got to watch Earl Campbell run the ball live, sold sodas in the late 70's and early 80's, and have always been a fan. csb/ warning, was tackled by Ricky Churchman at a pickup football game (not at the stadium) and young Al immediately learned that tackle football was not in his future. Somewhere along the way young Al forgot the pain of the Churchman tackle and spent a few Sundays getting steamed rolled by Scott Bednarski playing pickup games on the old turf back when Memorial Stadium was open on Sundays. csb/ Ex-spouse and oldest child both have their Bachelors and Masters from UT, all degrees paid in full.
  3. At least there is a knife in the photo.
  4. Someone needs to introduce Wealth Builder to Buzz Killington. 5% down in Austin? Good luck with that.
  5. As if 95% of this hasn’t already.
  6. One of these exists in my family, same caliber too. My Dad and his brother argued over it for years and it eventually found its way to California to be given to the next grandson with the same last name. Unfortunately the only same name grandson passed way at an early age and still the rifle sits out West. I'm planning on offering some $$ to my cousin to bring it back to Texas as there are 2 same name grandsons that belong to my Dad. Rifle is still in shooting condition and has the original cleaning rods and tips in the stock.
  7. Something something used tampon joke would fit in here nicely.
  8. The guys that run this operation are first class.
  9. Maybe with Teis stepping down things can get to getting better. Guy sucked at his job.
  10. Good stuff here. Mr. Gattis at Congress and Oltorf, with the beckoning glimmer from the lights of Cinema West at Live Oak and Congress just to the North, was the go to for post game celebrations. Good times. Still friends with most of our classmates from back in the day.
  11. St. Ignatius Martyr School checking in from Oltorf and College Street. St. Louis was part of our sports league back in those days, you guys were green/white and we were green/gold. Never liked playing you guys, to this day when I drive by St. Louis on Burnet Road I still look over and think....'jerks'. Bet your kids and I played against each other, I feel like some 'The Best of Times' rematches are in order.
  12. Got home very late last night (11:30) and had forgotten about a few pieces of prime Tenderloin that needed to be cooked for dinner and so there would be leftovers for lunch today. I’m sure there will be hate for the off brand steak sauce (Michelada fixings) but I’m hoping the accompanied paper towel plate and tortilla straight from the package can summon a possible vindication from those whose pallet is much more opulent.
  13. Came here because I can't find the FIRE CHRIS BEARD thread.
  14. Al has the Yildiz on the left in 20 gauge, the shell extractors push out the spent shells almost as far as my SKS, will put a sting on your if your not careful. Is this normal? I got mine 10 years ago and was able to pick from the 5-6 they had at the time, I was looking a the grain/finish, got the pick of the litter and on sale.
  15. Sophomore year at Southwest Texas State University (1986) Larry McMurtry came to Al's English class to read a few chapters of Lonesome Dove. He and the lady Professor were friends and was there to share his novel with her classes. This was a Thursday class so it ran an hour and a half, I stuck around for the next class because the few chapters he read wasn't enough. He did allow for questions afterwards and was engaging with the students, this was all in a classroom that fit no more than 30 students in Flowers Hall. One of the better 3 hour learning blocks in young Al's undergraduate education.
  16. Is your ‘wife’ a man? Because it doesn’t count if it is. Not judging, nor is anything wrong with it.
  17. Still have most of my hair on my head (high 90’s percentile) after 54 years and regularly get compliments on it. I’m the product of great hair on both sides of the family. My stylist loves the fact that I need to have this quaff maintained way more than most and I tip well for the frequent attention needed, Al is no Mr. Pink, even still today having to never received any stimulus. Al also cooks the world best Duck flambé.
  18. And a knife, gun or spent ammo. Al liked it when the subject matter in this thread was backed by some gratuitous weapon. Nonetheless, excellent photo.
  19. You're not wrong. That Pink Salt needs to be replaced with a weapon, something that will kill you from the outside, not inside.
  20. A left handed AK? Would so compliment my Left handed AR.
  21. I checked this link and had 2 ‘friends’ show up in the like bar. Good to know I’ll know someone in hell when I get there.
  22. The surl misses the Wild Man.
