  1. Fair draw for Texas. Vandy might be able to pull off the upset against Ohio State The R32 match ups of Baylor vs. Duke and Pepperdine vs. Stanford will be interesting Iowa got hosed unfortunately
  2. Draw will be revealed tomorrow. Texas will be the second seed. Predict that Arkansas will be the second seed of the regional. Guess is based on Arkansas being around the right rank (top 30) and that the NCAA will have to split the SEC conference (11 or 12 bids) between the regionals evenly. Wonder if the NCAA will go ahead and send A&M over to Baylor. Would be unfair since that wound a nationally top 10 match up in the second round. Either way whoever gets A&M in their regional is going to be pretty unhappy. Rice and A&M Corpus Christi likely to be sent between Baylor and Texas. SMU likely to be one of the first teams out.
  3. UNC's roster is packed, extremely. They have basically three super seniors and haven't lost a dual match since 2019. Saw a tweet that summed up what they've done this past few years The good news is that Texas lost a nail bitter to them earlier this year indoors. UNC also has not made an NCAA final yet with this illustrious class. I'd rate Texas as having a 20-30% chance of beating UNC. Things that have to happen are Peyton needs to get hot during NCAAs and Joffe has to decide between Labrana and Rapolu at 6.
  4. Big 12 Champs! Dominant performance today
  5. Won lines 3-6. Playing against Baylor tomorrow. Baylor's lineup is pretty interesting. Their number one player Krywoj has only played doubles this tournament. Kraus who played in the three matches against UT has also not played recently.
  6. Better for us fans if it goes indoors. Horns are scheduled to play on the outdoor courts that does not have Play Sight cameras
  7. Lol it's Faucette. Nicole Fawcett played at PSU. I get them confused too since they overlapped in college too
  8. Hmmm...I wouldn't agree quite yet. Yuya and Christian were a great 1-2 punch that this team doesn't have. Would have to see a fully healthy Siem to better evaluate. Also the record at number 6 this year is not good. Too many 4-3 matches for my liking.
  9. I don't think there's been anything officially said or in social media from Lexi. Most of the glee from the Horns fans today are more in response to the Internet trolls and some Nebraska fans who repeatedly said things like "We just want Lexi to be happy" four years ago.
  10. Number one recruit of her class. Played at Texas for one year before transferring to the Corns. Huge drama involved especially on the internet.
  11. Texas on the short list to host https://ncaaorg.s3.amazonaws.com/committees/d1/compoversig/Apr2021D1AdCom_Apr14Report.pdf Honestly I think UT has overachieved this year so far. Winning the regular season conference with basically no super seniors (or regular seniors for that matter) in a stacked conference is a big achievement.
  12. Something interesting they're doing this year is that they announced 20 potential sites today for the NCAAs. Four will get cut. List is here: https://ncaaorg.s3.amazonaws.com/committees/d1/compoversig/Apr2021D1AdCom_Apr14Report.pdf What I find interesting is that this list must have been done with previous week's rankings as teams like LSU and Tennessee are on this list even though A&M is top 16 (was on the outside couple of weeks ago) and has wins over both LSU and Tennessee. This probably means A&M will get sent to Baylor as the second seed. UT and Baylor will probably split Rice and SMU (as long as they're rankings hold up).
  13. Had to look back- So 2016 was when the Texas women finished in 5 way tie for second. Seeds were announced on April 24, 2016 (https://big12sports.com/news/2016/4/24/210910129.aspx) which was a Sunday So who knows.....
  14. I think they're using next week's ITA rankings. If that's the case, Texas is at 2, Baylor is at 3, and TCU is at around 6. Texas would be the number 1 seed.
  15. Again depends on who you talked to. One theory I heard was that her dad was unhappy about how many distractions there were in Austin.
  16. Texas wins 4 singles Guess they didn't play out the remaining singles matches as the Tech men are also playing right afterwards
  17. I believe all three teams would be name regular season champs. https://big12sports.com/news/2015/12/1/210574747.aspx Here's the tiebreak procedure for seeding. If I'm not mistaken, the women's team had a four way tie for third several years ago and it went down to the last tiebreak determinate- using ITA ranking. Texas would hold the advantage against both teams if that were to happen.
  18. Looks like this wasn't even the first time she threw 21 K's this season! Had one against Southeastern Louisiana but that one she allowed 5 hits and 2 runs. https://meangreensports.com/sports/softball/stats/2021/southeastern-louisiana/boxscore/4927 Also noticed that Tuesday DerMargosian is leading the team in hitting percentage!
  19. Baylor escapes Lawrence with a 4-3 win. Texas needs Baylor to win out for the computer rankings. OK State might have been able to save their season with a win against Iowa State today.
  20. Yeah it seems like Peyton rolled her ankle (check her IG). Hopefully it's minor- from the KU video she seems to be walking fine
  21. Senior day- Looks like Tijana will be graduating early
  22. Two of the top names I've been hearing about are assistant coach Wyatt Collins or alum Brendan Hansen Congrats Eddie!
  23. Joffe was smart in scheduling Baylor multiple times this season. Three top 10 wins against the same team is huge in a limited traveling season for the computer rankings. Baylor also did some smart scheduling. Played quite a few 20-30 teams. Have not played any top 15 teams this year and will likely win out the rest of the regular season to maintain a top 10 ranking
  24. Three more events left. Texas leading by about 21 points. Slight chance that diving can seal the deal before the last relay is in.
  25. Back when Jeff Moore was the tennis coach in the 90s and early 2000s, Texas was pretty much right up there. Six straight Big 12 titles, Two national champs, Two national runner ups, etc. Patty Fendick Mccain would have a top 10 team every 4-5 years or so (fun fact her daughter is on the UTSA team Texas beat this year).....
