  1. Fuck shit god fucking dammit fucking shit
  2. And right as I was waiting for the post to go through. Of course.
  3. So excited for Brantley to get a single now and then a groundout from yuli for Zero runs on 2 hits
  4. This would be an uphauling mistake as I was told that the biggest french benefit of acquiring Greinke was being able to use him in NL parks in the World Series
  5. Yeah, I suppose what I really meant was "get some offensive production out of DH/Right Field/Catcher", and I figured that of those 3, Yordan is the most likely to get hot during the series. Plus, Reddick is giving us good defense in RF and the catchers seem to be doing a great job with the pitching staff, so we're at least getting SOMETHING from those spots, but no hitting from the DH spot means you're not getting anything from it. I originally had "Work pitch counts on the Nats starters to get into their pen early and often", but your post popped up before I could finish mine, so I'm definitely with you on that. Although the Nats bullpen in the playoffs has been much better than the Nats bullpen in the regular season.
  6. I have no doubt Yordan will be fine in the long run, just gotta lay off those high fastballs and stop expanding the zone so much in general. Whether the break between ALCS and WS (and potentially sitting during any games in the NL park) will be enough to get him reset or not is the question to me.
  7. 3. Get Yordan going, or get Diaz into the DH Spot 4. Get Greinke some extra BP.
  8. That lady they showed resting her head on her husbands shoulder right before the homer is about to get internet famous
  9. if we give up a defender to spy, nearest defender to the receivers would be 20 yards away instead of just 15
  10. Have I been missing hearing people referring to Herman as "Coach T" this whole time?
  11. I know we sometimes joke about just not fielding any kicks but I think it may be time to get serious about it. Honestly, what percentage of kicks fielded by this team yield a positive result (better than a touchback on kickoffs, better field position on punts)? I'm certainly feeling pessimistic about it, but it seriously feels like our "win rate" or whatever you want to call it on fielding kicks is in the sub-20% range. Hard to remember a kickoff return that got us significantly better than a touchback, but it feels like there are double digit examples that have us starting inside our 20. Punts, we have muffed punts, fair caught punts inside the 10 or 5 that would almost definitely have been touchbacks, fielded punts when defenders are a step away leading to receivers getting blown up and either fumbling or absorbing unnecessary punishment. on the flip side, have there been ANY big plays this season? Fuck
  12. I like that moment of realization from Klatt, "he tried to one hand it! what is he doing?!? you see here on the replay he is trying to one hand the ball... ... ... because the OU defender is holding his other hand down by his side" and then immediately quiet and never mentioned again.
  13. Their starter wasn’t the problem, it was shaky relief pitching and a couple of suspect moves by the manager because he decided to go with his gut over the analytical approach the team typically uses. He left a reliever out there for an extra inning when he had other options just waiting in the bullpen and then didn’t pull him even when he was clearly not getting it done. Also their bats went cold at the wrong time.
  14. Leave the poor guy alone, he’s just trying to eat healthy. All that extra moisture just gives you water weight
