  1. I’m shocked this has dragged on this long. It’s also interesting to see how Bru has seemingly gone against his parents advise repeatedly.

I think he’s gone and I am Ok with that but I don’t like this decision being dragged out.

I guess I'm the only one who didn't/doesn't think its a sure thing that Jamie and Cersei died in that scene? I mean, it's pretty damn likely, but I thought the point of the ceiling collapsing in front of the camera was to leave it a little ambiguous, even if unlikely.

As much as Cersei's death was unfulfilling, (and I am not saying for sure they aren't) but if they are not dead this season does indeed suck ass.

  3. RIght, but I think there were a few things that gave me the idea that it was possible Dany wouldn't accept a surrender.  One was Missandei's last words before she was beheaded (She was basically telling Dany to burn the city and she was the only advisor she really ever listened to or trusted)  and the second was Dany never actually said she would not burn the city if the bell rang.   When she didn't say it, I thought that was telling.  The scene where the collar was burned seemed to be a little foreshadowing of what was to come as well.  While I agree there was not enough buildup to this end by Dany, I felt they were trying to lead us there.  Dany simply quit listening to Jon, Tyrion, Varys or anyone.   She and Greyworm were going to destroy the city and not listen to any reason.

He freed Jaime to get a surrender, which he thought would spare the city.  The surrender happened and Dany broke her word.  Tyrion reasonably believed she wouldn't.   You're really stretching to defend your extremely superficial "it's all about good men getting corrupted" take.

That's just it.  She never did give her word that recall.  Tyrion asked several times but she never answered.

Damn skippy. Ask any lawyer who’ll shoot straight with you and he/she will admit if they could afford to give up part of their practice this would be it. Unless they actually like this shit, which I can’t fathom.

Personally I’ve represented capital murderers who were infinitely more reasonable

I resemble this remark.  Zero family law cases in 2019.

  6. My mother is notorious story teller and provider of unsolicited information about people I have never met and probably will never meet as well as a grammar corrector and relayer of news articles  (when I was in college) and now facebook posts about mental and physical health.  She is a true believer in the printed and posted word.

One of my nephews when he was about 5 after listening to my mother go on and on and on about something turned to her said, "Grandma, all you do is teach people things they don't want to learn."

I was randomly looking at A&M's schedule for next year and they are the only team in the SEC (Actually Florida does) that I could find that puts the SEC Championship on their schedule. Bama doesn't, LSU doesn't, Ole Miss Doesn't, Georgia Doesn't.

    Texas doesn't.

  8. Picking up the wife's 11 year old twins (boy and girl) from school yesterday.  Had local radio on and announcers were talking about one of the Utah players being "a legitimate shooting threat at the game tonight."

Girl:  Omg  where is there a shooting threat is that now.

Me and Boy: They are talking about the Rockets game tonight.

Girl: Well, Why would they even play the game if someone there is a real shooting threat.

Boy and I just look at each other in amazement.  He was kind enough to explain it.  I just shook my head.

This dipshit is two years or less into his career & he thinks the appropriate thing to do in a public event (we were also streaming it globally) is to hiss at an astronaut and PhD in engineering? What the fuck is wrong with these idiots?

I am really fucking sick of this becoming more and more common.  It has been atrocious since 2012.  I see it several mutlti-alumni events including fundraisers and charity banquets which I think is bullshit but I wouldn't put up with that for one second in a work environment.

    Before he publicly committed.

Got it.  What I don't get is why his recruitment seemed to get so cold.   Was that mutual?   Did he seem to have another favorite?   Are we still recruiting him hard?  I have seen his recent tweets and he hasn't committed anywhere.

  11. Spoiler

I see Mookie Cooper has been somewhat posting about Texas on social media. We still in the running?

Our guy in the midwest Allen Trieu reported that Texas would receive a visit from Cooper, and It's not surprising. Cooper was basically a silent for almost a year before making his decision and quickly backing out. If Texas gets him back on campus, I think they have a chance to win him back.

I must have missed something on this.  What does this mean, "before making his decision?"

If you want to just shut up any aggy is to just simply ask, “What male sport, not just the Big 3, has your aggy school ever won, during your lifetime”? Crickets/Silence while they think about it.

Edit: They were good for a year or so in golf and track. That’s all I can come up with.

Yep.  They were the NC in outdoor track and field in 2009, 2010, 2011 and tied Florida in 2013.

If this guy has the mental capacity to know what he was doing then yes, he should go away for a long time, maybe forever. If not then a mental institution would be appropriate and likely ling term. If the kid dies, then yes, he should face the death penalty. But y’all have no real insight into the perp’s mental capacity.

Let’s say you drive like an asshole and cut my family off and they wreck causing injuries. Does someone have the right to instantly be judge and jury and put a “bullet in the back of your skull.” Because I sure would want to, but this crazy concept of the legal system prevents you internet keyboard warriors and me from legally and morally distributing instant justice.

He had the mental capacity to try to get away.
