  1. Fuck all of that shit but when I get a cold sub from Jersey Mike’s I get everything they have on it and it is glorious.
  2. Obviously what Jesus would have done.
  3. I must say I have had a ton of rain these last two weeks. I live on the very southern edge of Georgetown right across from the north part of Terra Vista. Had at least three to four inches in the last 14 days.
  4. Absolutely Nobis was incredible and probably does not stick out as much because he played in Atlanta which was a shitty expansion team. The criteria in my mind is being totally dominate in high school, college and the NFL and it has to be immediate. Jim Brown speaks for himself. He is the greatest running back in NFL history and it really is not even close. Earl dominated high school and college and then led the NFL in rushing his first three years in the league. If Fred Akers would have been the coach for Earl for three years I don’t think anyone would touch his rushing record. It would have been unreal. Remember he was a wishbone fullback his first three years until Fred turned him loose as a tailback in the I formation. The rest is history.
  5. Pleas tell me this is from the Onion.
  6. He went but could not leave the hotel because it was raining.
  7. Awesome Got to admit any sport that allows you to bring in your own cooler of beer is fucking awesome. I think I have been to TMS about 8 or 9 times and never opened my wallet once. I am not an eater at sporting events or movies for that matter. I can eat before I go (rarely because it fucks up my drinking) , or after.
  8. Me too. I would skip school at Lanier many times for some of those weekday games. Great memories.
  9. Good choice and I would consider Eric Dickerson too now that I think about. In my mind the top two in my lifetime (70 yrs) are clearly…. Jim Brown Earl Campbell No one else is very close.
  10. I have nothing against Derka at all and I think he is a pretty damn good poster. I don’t always agree with him by any means. I just want him to be dead wrong about Quinn because he was a great Longhorn and did incredible things for this program and I want him to succeed. One thing people never talk about is Quinn’s quick release. I think that is a huge upside in the right offense with a coach that knows how to take advantage of it. And Quinn is very accurate on intermediate type throws too. I am anxious to see how he does.
  11. People that think a hundred men could attack and kill a gorilla are fucking morons. Even if enough men could overwhelm him how are they going to kill him? My guess is they will never be able to overwhelm him in the first place.
  12. Not really. There are less than ten football players in the last 75 years that actually fit that definition. You have to dominate in high school, college and the pros. If you know of more than ten please list them. Ricky was close but does not really fit the criteria. Vince nailed the high school and college part but not the professional part. (Fuck you Jeff Fisher) Earl and Nobis are the only two Texas players that qualify in my opinion.
  13. Not so sure how great that will look when you “release the hounds” so to speak.
  14. I thought the Republican idiots were all anti Hollywood because of it being so liberal. Make up your minds ass fucks.
  15. Anyone with a screen name like yours gets my attention. Went to my first Texas Baseball game at Clark Field in 1968.
  16. You know that many of us cannot wait to crucify your ass when Quinn ends up being a solid NFL QB. Easy to talk shit now but people that dog Quinn’s effort at Texas are fucking morons and can kiss my ass.
  17. I started watching that and was out in twenty seconds. I actually have no issue with Lucci. He is good at what he does.
  18. Carville basically got Bill Clinton elected…..TWICE.
  19. You young whippersnappers do not understand the term “man amongst boys” in the literal sense. It is a sacred term and in football the list is very short. I was born in 1955 so my knowledge is about 1960 on. Fortunately my dad loved football and we always had two TV’s in the early 60’s and a forty foot antenna so we could get more stations than KTBC Channel 7 in Austin. I am sure guys like Red Grange, Bobby Lane, Otto Graham, Sammy Baugh were incredible but the first “man amongst boys” player I remember is still the greatest running back of all time, and there is no discussion here, Jim motherfucking Brown. If you are too young look him up. It is not even close and this term “man amongst boys” was basically created by him. The next player in my life was Tommy Nobis. Greatest two way player in UT history and maybe the greatest UT player ever. While Ricky was incredible as was Vince they are not in the MAB category but one more Texas player is… And he is the definition of “man amongst boys” And that is Earl Campbell. That term was created for guys like Jim Brown and Earl.
  20. Guarantee you he will get picked up. His greatness is not done yet….on the field that is.
  21. This could not be more true. Angers me that the Dems cannot figure out how to crush this bullshit. I will say it again… James fucking Carville should show them the way.
