  1. Per a tweet, the polymarket betting forecast electoral map on 10/25 matched the final results by state precisely. So yeah, maybe we should not have dismissed that.
  2. What is crazy is that the smartest person I know on the right (and fight with frequently) has been telling me for 2 weeks this is exactly what was going to happen. He had plenty of links (most of which I didn't open out of fear of Elon Musking my feed) supporting this outcome. The actual outcome pretty much mirrored the betting market expectations. I posted about this last week that I was so confused how 2 sides were so confident. I was wishcasting the confidence from the right was all part of the plan to challenge the election (and maybe that was the case) but those that followed closely on that side were not surprised. It seemed to me everyone's expectations were totally dependent on their personal algorithm (and national media/pollsters just hedged their bets calling it a tossup). I wonder if the D insiders actually had bad some bad data and just hoped it was wrong or refused to believe it.
  3. LOL. Here we go again. Anyone trying to open your eyes to fucking reality is a "Magatard". JFC. Everything about your posting perfectly encapsulates how out of touch the average 'liberal' is and why the D's got fucking smoked. Maybe you should pay attention when other D voters like me attempt to inject a little reality into your fucking echo chamber. That you think the fucking "MSM" being meaner to Trump could have in any way positively impacted the election for democrats in the year 2024 is proof positive you are completely clueless.
  4. Do you think the people that voted for Trump read the fucking NYT's or any other newspapers. You have your head in the sand.
  5. I think the economy drove the election as a whole but do think this explains a big chunk of young voters particularly on college campuses. I saw data last night showing young voters skewing trump and anecotal discussion about fraternities at Michigan State and other schools that are typically disinterested in politics organizing to "get out the vote" for Trump. I have no doubt all of the idiotic 'free palestine' encampments impacting college campuses across the country pissed off the silent majority. Their revenge was voting for Trump.
  6. I finally agree with BO&W about something. This was always the most important factor. Period. Immigration and culture wars didn't help but it's always the economy in the eyes of the average joe living paycheck to paycheck (not those of us with disposable income and investments soaring along with inflation).
  7. I don't even think it was that. She actually ended up being a better candidate than I thought she would. Doubtful she wins in a true primary process but i'm not convinced anyone could have done much better. I think it came down to 2 things that I previewed last year and was shit all over in this forum. Rapid inflation over last 4 years (which was inevitable regardless of executive control but that doesn't matter as party in charge will always get the blame) which was the biggest problem, combined with the now 'fact' that progressive ideas/PC culture are just flat out losers. MAGA made it a culture war and it worked. Nobody wants to hear it or accept it but it's the truth. For example, not being able to just flat out say unequivocally "biological men should not play women's sports" is a loser. It doesn't matter if it's not happening in reality (we know it's not). This was a referendum on the economy and 'woke' culture in a social media algorithm driven world and there aren't enough educated voters who have retained the ability to critically analyze issues left to make a difference. This is an era of low information voters across all age groups and demographics, and regardless how much I didn't want to believe it would actually happen, it swung the way I felt it might for the past 2 years (although I never thought it would be a full popular vote shift). I'm going to retire away from the cloak room again, but I'll be fascinated to see WTF the D party does when the dust settles because this was a shock to the system.
  8. I 100% agree with all of this. The only sliver of hope is that at the end of the day, Trump does whatever the fuck he wants, period, so maybe he's just not in the mood to deal with criticism for the worst of the worst ideas. I fully acknowledge possibility that doesn't happen and the Miller's and Musk's of the world actually get their way.
  9. Best hope it's just old and lazy and spends all his time watching TV and bitching on twitter about poor coverage. He may just be too lazy and incompetent at this point to do the work needed to push through much.
  10. LOL? That fucking clown pretends to be a political scientist nowt that his clickbait Covid alarmism career is over? If he is the hope they should just go ahead and call it.
  11. It was on NBC while I was eating. Back to doing work and monitoring this thread intermittently. But youth vote was breaking something like 54/46 Trump give or take in a few of the Midwest swing states. That was pretty surprising to me.
  12. Saw some data on youth vote in swing states going for Trump. Combination of Rogan bros and far left nutjobs "boycotting" over Palestine? If the latter actually ends up helping Trump, they are so stupid they deserve what is coming.
  13. It was never going to be a landslide. There wasn't anything remotely reflecting that in any data. Like I said last week, it was shocking to me how much both "sides" were convinced they were going to win easily. Just proof of what a tailored algorithm and groupthink within tribes is doing to society.
  14. Truly committed to winning title of worst and dumbest poster on this site. Fucking Helobious is going to have to step it up.
  15. Can you make that same pledge about posting on the football board??
  16. I've been far too busy this week to follow the detail day to day much less minute to minute. But the contrast between extreme confidence both 'sides' seem to have is fascinating. I spend a few minutes catching up on this thread and see some of the screenshots/links and feel better. Then i get texts from Trump supporters with similar screenshots and links with right leaning data scientist claiming it is all but over for Trump based on early voting demographics. Trumpers that are closely following this are extremely confident. And of course at least most true national people seem to just hedge and think it's going to be close. I get that is all by design, particularly on the Trump side, and that even if their internal polling showed he was losing bigly they would project otherwise in order to challenge it as 'rigged'. But it sure seems like everyone's algorithm is just amplifying their preferred view on things. I think inevitable that no matter the actual outcome, we are going to have 40% of this country not only pissed off but in shock at the results based on what their social media is telling them.
  17. It's clear to me that if BO&W (a self proclaimed 'non-pussy') was the HC, OC and QB we would never lose again.
  18. Do you need every single poster on this site to tell you that you're a dumbass and should post less? Or will you just keep on constantly and rapidly posting nonsense regardless.
  19. I think we all have an image of who you are in real life based on your post history and that pretty much fits it.
  20. You are a douchebag shitty obsessive fan that constantly talks shit but would cream yourself and beg for their autograph if you ever encountered any these athletes you call "pussys"
  21. Nice cherry pick. Douchebags like you are the reason Simms never came back to Texas.
  22. TD drives were plays of 9, 5 and 4. The 9 play drive was 75 yards.
  23. I think he played just OK vs. OU, poorly vs. UGA and "good" (not to his standard) against Vandy. I think pass pro, penalties, and run blocking are bigger issues than QB play (in that order) when it comes to fixing the offense. I don't think it matters who is playing QB if that isn't cleaned up. Good QB play could beat every team left on our schedule if we protect like we did against Michigan and clean up penalties
  24. Yep, it's hard to run the ball consistently when you are frequently behind the chains b/c of pre-snap penalties and/or holding calls.
  25. LOL. There is not a single poster on this thread claiming "there is nothing wrong with how Quinn has been playing". JFC
