  1. This is the first game we've played as an underdog all year. Put me in the camp that I feel like that might be a good thing psychologically for this team. But we're going to have to play our best game of the season to win for sure. Absolutely have to play complimentary football. Our defense can't be on the field all game. We can't have stupid pre-snap penalties that constantly put us behind the chains. Cannot lose the turnover battle. We do all those things it absolutely should be a 4th quarter game. But Ohio St. also has the ability to run us out of the gym if they bring their A game and we play like we did the 2nd half yesterday. Also interested to hear injury news. The wear and tear on this team is a real factor with the schedule we've played the last 2 months. I'm assuming at this point only practicing in shells and not tackling to the ground in practice. Defense in particular needs time to recover after playing all those snaps yesterday. We're certainly at a disadvantage from that standpoint.
  2. That was a Billy special for sure. He's truly elite at knowing his audience.
  3. All due respect, were you really around and following the day to day of Texas football closely during the Mack Brown tenure? Because a lot of people with strong opinions on this topic were. I absolutely lay a massive chunk of the blame for the lost decade + of Texas football on Mack Brown. Certainly the beginning of that downfall. So yeah, a lot of us that understand Mack, his narcissism and his incredible ego don't want him anywhere near Texas football now that we have finally crawled out of it and that includes yucking it up with Bobby with whatever self serving hot sports opinions he might have.
  4. Fuck Mack Brown. There is zero scenario in which that asshole coming back around this program is "good" and if you all can't see that you have no understanding whatsoever of what went on here at the end of his tenure and who he is.
  5. This. Keep his ass as far away from the 40 acres as possible. Fuck him. I'll never click a link for any interview or anything else that has to do with that narcissistic asshole
  6. Hawkins is a true freshman that had absolutely no business playing this year and was stuck in a garbage offense with shit talent across the board. I'm not saying he's a future star, but saw some potential there to grow into something. Seems like a good fit for a mid tier program that would give him time to learn/improve.
  7. Is there any thought that Hawkins might take his talents into the portal after OU replaced him? Because OU having zero depth at QB next season would amuse me.
  8. LOL. Pooooooooor Soooners
  9. Stats (sports bar close to the stadium) was rec I got from an Atlanta client and thought it was really solid. Good bar food etc. First come first serve tables and there was a small (think like $5) cover. Obviously not as much time to pregame with a 1PM start but would be a good place to circle back and watch games afterwards as well.
  10. If we can't beat Clemson and ASU without him we don't deserve it. But if there is a chance he could get back close to pre-injury Bond sitting next 2 games I think you sit him and let him heal.
  11. I'm a solid 1 with Texas football with a decent gap then 2A Stars, 2B Texas basketball, 2C Mavs, 2D Rangers then another huge gap for anything else. I don't give a shit about the Cowboys and haven't for a long time. Agreed Jerry ruined them for me as well years ago.
  12. I don't really deep dive into hockey until post football season but did hear chatter last night about it being a bad year to have all this cap space at the trade deadline. Just not expected to be as deep of a market as in typical years. I have no doubt Nil is working on something though. He knows team as currently constructed looks like a 1 and done team with actual risk of missing playoffs all together if some of the current players don't step up.
  13. Back to back games I've attended where Jake lets in a flurry of 2nd period goals and fucks the game. He needs to start earning that contract. Also, back to back games I've attended where Robo seemingly didn't do much but take up space. Heard it confirmed by a 2nd person last night that he's a douchebag/asshole in person so maybe even a bit more critical of his frequent failure to show up.
  14. His take this morning about the timing of the transfer portal was about the dumbest I've ever heard. Essentially saying this is what the athletes wanted and it's pro sports now so it comes with the territory and fuck the kids for putting coaches in this position. Essentially the take I would expect from a Boomer Aggy. Completely ignoring the point from Lashlee (that was a good take and replayed) and Dusty where they emphasized that if this is pro sports no pro sport would ever schedule free agency before the season is over. I had to just fast forward through that segment it was so bad.
  15. Bond should probably just sit and try to get healthy for a semifinal and hope we get there. We 'should' be able to win the next 2 games without him if we play well. I'm not sure we could win a semi or a final without him healthy.
  16. I think this is what it boils down to for many on this board and angry social media in general. The person you (and I) wanted to win the election didn't so now just blow it all up. I think it's a pretty pathetic position to take as allegedly educated and productive members of society but that's just me.
  17. Fuck no I wouldn't be ok with that. WTF
  18. Let's see if you all have this same big dick energy about 'righteous homicide' the next time some religious nutjob takes out a doctor performing a legal abortion. We either live in a lawful society or we don't.
  19. Got it. So first degree murder now fine and dandy as long as you agree with the political or social motivations behind the killing. Victim not alleged to have done anything illegal? Fuck him - worked for an evil corporation so he deserved it. 2 kids left without a father? Fuck them too. Pathetic. I have no doubt we'll see some massive hypocrisy from several posters when this plays out under a different set of facts and the killing does not align with their personal political/social belief systems.
  20. So we have educated posters on this board now condoning or attempting to explain away premeditated murder. Fuck that. And fuck this loser murdering kid.
  21. I think mental break probably will help just as much as physical recovery. That was a brutal game to lose. Has anyone seen practice schedule? Curious if Sark just starting back up tomorrow to give a few days for a mental reset. I could see a couple of light days this week getting scout team looks and then back to normal game week next week.
  22. I haven't read the entire thread but seeing how many pages it grew, I'm glad to know it was as bad on TV as it looked from the stands. Doesn't excuse our failure to make winning plays (or fucking kicks) but there was no doubt in my mind that crew was doing everything they could to keep UGA in the game in the first half.
  23. I dealt with 100X more nonsense before, during and after game in Atlanta compared to @ A&M the week before (or any OU game for that matter). Now, maybe if Aggy won it would have been different post-game. For anyone that has attended a horns loss in Lubbock, that was exactly what the experience was like. And like Tex Pete said "going out of their way to be assholes" is pretty much a perfect description of the average UGA fan. Really a damn shame we didn't win the game and shut them up.
  24. I also wondered if this is just kind of what we signed up for. College kids are one thing, but like you said, way too many blackout 30-50 year olds in packs actively seeking out a confrontation. It was pretty sad and pathetic.
  25. They are very much Tech-esque except cockier. They aren't Ohio State level, agreed. That was unparalleled. But spending the day around those morons in Atlanta pretty much made me cross off a trip to Athens next year. Wouldn't be enjoyable. Bunch of meathead douchebags.
